18 weeks with a huge bump and a definite waddle. In fact, the over bump part of my maternity jeans is starting to get tight already and not quite sure what I'll wear after that. The hip and leg part is too big so can't really size up!

Don’t worry, the over bump band should be good until the end

Stroan · 04/04/2019 09:40

It's already tight with no more stretch though! Maybe I just need different jeans.

I'm definitely walking a bit differently for the last week or so - can only take much shorter strides.
Not quite a waddle but on the way! I used to walk really fast and now I just can't.

Picked up the bedside crib last night and they also had a musical vibrating bouncer for £10 so had that too. Not buying anything else until after scan on 24th.

Farmmama · 04/04/2019 10:15

Where are your jeans from @stroan? I found the Next ones had plenty of give over a third trimester bump

db92 · 04/04/2019 10:21

I have a definite bump here at 16 weeks. There's absolutely no hiding it so good job I told my colleagues at 13 weeks!

I've been wondering if my bump is looking a little too big for how many weeks I am considering it's my first but am trying not to compare myself with others I know who are further gone with smaller neater bumps Hmm

Stroan · 04/04/2019 10:29

@farmmama they are from matalan. I couldn't find any next ones to fit last time, I make huge babies!

Bump here too, there's no way I could hide it if I wanted to! I also feel like my walk has changed- not sure if I'm quite waddling yet, but I'm definitely moving slower, feeling pains in my knees and hips from the extra weight. All those people who manage to go to the gym and do weights until 35+ weeks deserve a medal!

boodles101 · 04/04/2019 10:42

Stroan my over the bump jeans are the same. I said to my DH at the weekend Did these actually fit me up until the end last time?!! The over the bump band is already so tight. But I didn't buy any bigger ones so they must have fit!!

Farmmama · 04/04/2019 10:46

I’m going to keep going to the gym for as long as possible again. I actually found carrying on weightlifting (albeit lighter etc than pre pregnancy!) really helped with my backache last time. Hopefully it helps the time too! Also going to keep up with my
Mummyfit class once a week for as long as I can

Stroan · 04/04/2019 10:52

@boodles101 but you are squeezing two babies in there this time!

I lived in dresses last time, but work somewhere really casual now so would prefer jeans. Have no idea what I'm going to squeeze myself into all summer. Maybe I'll just finished work early and stay home in PJs for all of July and August 😂

HG stopped all my exercise, I'd love.to get back to MumFit but not sure if the three month break has been too much. Maybe if I ever stop feeling so sick.

Just had my 16w midwife appointment and heard a beautifully clear, strong heartbeat immediately. Cannot say how relieved I am after the stress of the electric shock fiasco a couple of weeks ago!

KnobJockey · 04/04/2019 11:02

Stroan, Asda have a couple of dresses in that work well for casual. I'm in an office where there's only 2-3 of us, so normally jeans and boots casual, but I'm mixing it up a little with dresses with white plimsolls instead, with leggings while the weather cooler.

I'm wearing this today, and have things like this

In fact the asda site has stocked up again since last week, so I might do another order grin

Stroan · 04/04/2019 11:12

Thanks @knobjockey I always forget about Asda!

OP posts:
Megan2018 · 04/04/2019 11:21

I've had no luck with Asda, my size seems to be permanently sold out in the things I wanted :(
But I have plenty until the really warm weather comes (if it does!!).

KnobJockey · 04/04/2019 11:27

Megan, I've found it the best place for maternity stuff by far, but stuff does seem to sell out quickly.

AnnieAR · 04/04/2019 11:40

I'm 18+3 with a tiny bump, love my h&m maternity jeans and have some matalan maternitiy dungarees but they have a bit much excess bump room just yet 😂😂

Moraxella · 04/04/2019 11:40

@Stroan go back and ease in - I stopped exercise for a bit as vomming++ but it felt better to feel sick after a run than feel morning sickness sick. Just go gently and build up?

Despite no bump get some suprapubic pain whilst running. Need a hernia belt or something 😂

Farmmama · 04/04/2019 12:06

I had to stop most exercise almost completely in my last pregnancy until 20 weeks due to sickness. I eased back in gently and all was okay. If you were active before I don’t see why you can’t ease back in. Just always listen to your body

KnobJockey · 04/04/2019 14:18

Was somebody saying they were suffering from dry skin on their face? My DD bought me the new Ordinary cleanser with squalene for mothers day, and it's lovely- squalene is an oil, but afterwards your skin doesn't feel oily, but moisturised. It's about £5-6 a tube, and my skin honestly feels a lot healthier after 4 days of using it. Good for sensitive skin too, as my skin reacts at almost everything.

boodles101 · 04/04/2019 15:04

knobjockey yes I think that was me. It's got alot better since starting the 2nd trimester though! I bought a new cheap toner and night serum to use and it's done the trick.

Karigan195 · 04/04/2019 16:48

19 weeks today. Keeping up with exercise but frustratingly slow. I do outdoor sports rather than gym and have to say the breathlessness is a right sob

AnnieAR · 04/04/2019 17:05

@Karigan195 if your 19 weeks today wouldn't that make you due in August? I'm 19 weeks on monday and due 2nd September

Karigan195 · 04/04/2019 17:10

Yes on the 29th. They brought my dates forward at the scan.

AnnieAR · 04/04/2019 17:13

Ah I see, then again - I could end up with an August bubba and yours could be September 😅
