@Yukka I remember dd was 2 weeks ahead later on in the pregnancy, and she was 8lb 7 at term. This one must be taking after me aswell, dp has tiny little legs even though he’s 6foot, he can’t get trousers to fit Grin

Chinks123 · 19/03/2019 17:39

Oh and I won’t be leaving the chocolate biscuits alone..digestives and tea are too good.

Jxtina86 · 19/03/2019 18:03

My 20 week scan pic has a gestation date of 22 weeks (even though I was bang on 20 weeks!) But they didn't seem concerned or mention anything. I'm at risk for GD so trying to be healthy but chocolate digestives and bread are life! DH is on a health drive at the moment so getting plenty of veg each day but not sure my balance is right lol.

Following on from the last thread - I've only had one bump toucher, a work colleague but we get on well, she's generally a very touchy-feely person and I genuinely don't mind. No complete strangers (yet!)

Yukka · 19/03/2019 18:13

@chinks123 I've been telling myself that mine will be a nice little 6 pounder or so at term and will slip out nice and easy. Yeah, right!

@Jxtine86 chocolate digestives and tea, that is my 9pm daily routine!.

BeckyButterfly · 19/03/2019 18:20

I’ve always been told that bigger babies come out more easily than smaller ones...not sure I believe that though 😂

Chinks123 · 19/03/2019 18:33

@BeckyButterfly dd was a big baby and actually did come out pretty nicely. They say it’s a easier for their big heads to make their way out..why have I done this again?! Grin

Giraffe888 · 19/03/2019 18:47

@chinks123 did they tell you the measurements at the scan? They didn’t mention it to me x

Chinks123 · 19/03/2019 19:51

Yes they did the measurements on the screen @Giraffe888 and then I got a print out of the exact measurements and what percentile he is.

Capybaras · 19/03/2019 20:09

I didn't get any measurements either @Giraffe888 - must vary by health board!

OneMoreWish · 19/03/2019 20:14

I've had one bump touched - a drunk male relative ( my mum's cousin's husband) he was being nice so didn't want to be rude but it felt weird. I had some people do it in the last pregnancy as well before there was even a proper bump and i remember thinking you are just touching my fat tummy!

My first was born 11 pound 10 ounces by c section. I'm probably going to have c section this time due to ongoing back issues. Not sure I want to test whether babies that big come out easily lol

Baby started kicking a lot more frequently now and for slightly longer- only I can feel it at moment but I forgot what a lovely feeling it wa sleep :) x

Re maternity/nursing bras I have just discovered molke bras and they're so so comfy and can be used as normal bras plus maternity/nursing

RooKangaroo · 19/03/2019 22:09

@Squ1ggle, yes Molke bras are awesome! I adore mine! Super comfy, but also give me the best support I've ever had.

Thanks guys. I’ll check out Molke bras!

DianaBlythe · 19/03/2019 23:16

Thanks for the new thread @RooKangaroo.

Re measurements I had my 20 week scan at 20+2 and they said the head measured 19+5 and femur measured 20+6. So it’s proportioned like me - long legs and small head, not like DH - massive head and short legs. Let’s hope it stays that way!

Not had too much bump touching... a colleague at work uninvited and a few friends have asked if they can feel kicks. Have had work acquaintances start to either ask me or say that they didn’t know I was expecting. I am quite enjoying wandering around at work and everyone stopping telling me how fabulous I look... they don’t normally do that!

StargazyDrifter · 19/03/2019 23:29

Thanks Yukka, that makes perfect sense.

The only bump toucher so far was a very senior woman in my office, I just stood there hoping the ground would swallow me up. No complete strangers, yet!

Beckanne90 · 20/03/2019 06:53

Thank you for the new thread, marking my place.

@Chinks123, I had my 20 week scan at 20+2, the measurements were: FL- 31.2mm. HC- 169.5mm. AC- 146.0mm. I’m not sure what they equated to in weeks but looking at my chart, they are all below the 50th centile- the abdomen is the closest one to 50th. Femur looks to be in between the bottom like and middle so around 25th.

AIDE2424 · 20/03/2019 07:46

@Chinks123 my 20 week scan at 20+3 my baby meausred at 21 weeks.
Therese were my measurements and like you I was a little confused and they don’t explain anything xx

Giraffe888 · 20/03/2019 08:33

I know femur length was 31.5mm at my scan as I asked the sonographer when he was measuring it!

Day off today and I’m definitely ready for it! Hope everyone is ok x

ReginaPhalange89 · 20/03/2019 11:12

Wow another new thread ! We're fairly getting through them haha.

I've been quiet for a few days , lovely weekend away, engaged, turned 30 on Monday ! Been a hell of a week lol.

Had my 22 week appointment on Monday, everything fine, baby kicking away more regularly now too which is lovely

I shared this on the FB group but thought I'd share here too in case anyone is still looking for a bedside crib ,. This one looks very similar to the Next 2 me and money off at the minute , I tried adding to basket and it came up at 79.99! Think that's pretty good .....

Self-referred myself to the physio at the hospital for PGP. Apparently they have group classes for it and I should get an appointment soon. I've been in so much pain the last few days. I had to travel for work yesterday and walk a bit and I've been in agony. I can't even pick anything up off the floor pain free at the moment. Sitting for too long hurts too. I've got a special support thing for on my office chair and foot support too. Can't take another 4 months of this. A few days of rest usually helps but then by the weekend it's all undone. I'm lucky I guess in that my job is very sedentary and I generally don't walk a lot during the week but when I have busy days or days out of the office I pay for it. I feel bad too because I know I should be being more active to be healthy for the baby but then the advice for PGP is to rest and not do anything that aggravates it!

Giraffe888 · 20/03/2019 17:45

Hope you had a lovely birthday and weekend away @reginaphalange89 x

DianaBlythe · 20/03/2019 18:04

@thedust I hope the physiotherapy is helpful, that sounds miserable. Try not to feel guilty, you can only do what you can do. Maybe the physio could suggest what active things would be reasonable.

Got a wedding at the weekend. Finding it hard that everything is only online at a time when I have no idea what’s going to fit or suit. Also being in for deliveries and doing returns is such a massive faff! So I can’t do any more shopping now. Which is more acceptable?

ReginaPhalange89 · 20/03/2019 18:14

@DianaBlythe they both look nice ! I think I prefer the short blue one ! More wedding-y and your bump looks so cute in it

DianaBlythe · 20/03/2019 18:17

Thanks. I’ll find some tights that don’t have a hole in and put some foundation on my bruises! I presume I got them hillwalking, it was very windy and I did a bit of crawling as couldn’t quite find my centre of gravity!

BeckyButterfly · 20/03/2019 18:22

Definitely another vote for the shorter dress. It looks beautiful! 🙂
