I'm hoping I haven't missed a December 2019 thread- apologies if I have.
I got my BFP at 10dpo this morning, giving me an estimated due date of 2nd December.
I know it's incredibly early-I'm very nervous about that at the moment!
Is there anyone else with a December 2019 due date yet?

Do you need to tel the dentist your pregnant? I'm in for a filing later today and not sure if I need to mention it.... also I throw up brushing my teeth- good luck dentist!

smartcarnotsosmartdriver · 24/04/2019 13:08

@codenameduchess yes, I think you do, they don't do xrays if you're pregnant at my surgery.

Joanna0x · 24/04/2019 13:34

Just ordered a dress off of Ebay for a wedding I've got in June, is it crazy that i wont be telling people till after (I will be 16 weeks 😂) so I got the dress a size bigger to hide my belly 🙈

Beaglemum93 · 24/04/2019 13:44

I don't think it's crazy @Joanna0x haha I'm not planning on telling people until after 20 weeks (if I can hide it!) I have told my parents already though.

elephantmarch · 24/04/2019 13:46

@windysowindy what came first your mumsnet name or the symptoms Smile ? I’m waking up with stomach cramps which I’m hoping are just trapped wind (charming) as seems to go away in the day. I wish I hadn’t found out I was pregnant after first missed period as it seems like a long time to wait till 12 week scan

We have told immediate family though as the news came as such a surprise. My mum was furious, my in laws are over joyed

Joanna0x · 24/04/2019 14:11

@elephantmarch why was your mother furious??

I'm not telling anyone until I am closer to 20 weeks, my little boy is 1 next month and my daughter has just turned 2 and I know I will get remarks about the age gaps etc so I'm just trying to delay it

elephantmarch · 24/04/2019 14:27

@Joanna0x oh that will be a great age gap for the children, tougher on you in the early days but definitely worth it in the long term.

We have different values. My mum places a high value on careers and money. She’s worried about my career prospects and that we’ll be able to give our children ‘less’ as a result. She would like us to be sending them to private schools, skiing in the winter, in a house people admire etc but this is opposite to our values.

Joanna0x · 24/04/2019 16:22

@elephantmarch I can imagine that's tough to deal with, hopefully she will come around as the pregnancy progresses.

I love my small age gaps although I am struggling tandem feeding my two so I will probably wean them both before this one arrives!

fonxey · 24/04/2019 16:50

How do you book an early ultrasound? I didn't think I'd want one bit i am getting worried about my lack of sickness. I was feeling a little naseous a week ago and now but at all. I don't feel pregnant really. A bit of occasional bloating... But I'm starting to wonder if I'm just imagining all this!

Only...i don't know if to book before i go on holiday. Either it'll out my mind at rest, or if it is had, ruin my holiday. Also there is a chance i guess they won't find it due to position, which would worry me.

So maybe i should book one for just after. Only I'll be 8 weeks then... Which i guess is still a bit of time before the normal scan?

Beaglemum93 · 24/04/2019 17:14

You can book them on the clinic's websites usually @fonxey. I'm feeling the same as you, I have no sickness and my only symptoms are bigger boobs and a bit of bloating so I'm worried it's all in my head! I've booked one for when I'll be 7+2.

fonxey · 24/04/2019 17:48

@Beaglemum93 but which clinic? Would it be a private one or is it through the nhs? Confused

Probs just being dumb! I can't wait until my midwife appt next Friday. Feels so far away.

Pip231018 · 24/04/2019 17:53

@fonxey Hey, I went to window to the womb. They have clinics all over. Was £59. It was worth it for me, they also told me that I was 6 weeks, not 7 so I've had to reset my 12 week wait! Ha!
It was worth it to put my mind at rest though. X

Beaglemum93 · 24/04/2019 17:54

It's a private one @fonxey. I just googled private ultrasounds near me and picked one with decent reviews. My first midwife appointment is tomorrow.

elephantmarch · 24/04/2019 19:05

How about other symptoms foxney like sensitive boobs or heightened sense of smell. I didn’t feel pregnant with my first but it was all ok. I totally understand the worry though, this time I feel awful some days and dandy the next and always fret more on non nauseous days even though there’s no need to. 59 seems quite good value

fonxey · 24/04/2019 19:43

@Beaglemum93 thanks. Still unming whether to book. Found one i can just do it all online.

@elephantmarch i dunno about boobs. They usually inflate around my period and they inflated earlier on and stayed inflated. I was on the edge of a b-c cup anyway. If i poke them they are a bit sore but maybe just from related jabbing!

Starrynights86 · 24/04/2019 19:50

@foxney I didn’t feel nauseous at all last pregnancy although turned my nose up at some foods. However I did get terrible terrible indigestion later on and it was awful, I looked better with a newborn then I did in late pregnancy as I just felt sick all the time. Think I would prefer nausea then that again? No nausea yet though.

StellaWilke · 25/04/2019 08:08

Hi - bit late to the party but could I join? Do I need to do anything beyond writing message and simply watch the thread?! I’m 8 weeks and lovely that I have loads of energy and helps disguise things at work - but feels a bit odd that have zero symptoms. Not tired and no morning sickness. If you’ve had previous experience, is this ok and just to be appreciated or other?

codenameduchess · 25/04/2019 12:27

@StellaWilke some women don't get symptoms, or they come later, just enjoy it 😀 I'm struggling to hide my sickness and having to nibble all day is raising eyebrows already and I'm not even 8 weeks 😂

StellaWilke · 25/04/2019 19:31

@codenameduchess Thank you, I guess I should then! Hope you are hanging on in there...

smartcarnotsosmartdriver · 25/04/2019 20:25

@StellaWilke this is baby number 1 so I can't speak from experience but I know that other people on MN have discussed not having any symptoms so I think it does happen?
I kind know what you mean though, I'm 9 weeks now but at the start every morning I got up I checked that my boobs still hurt and became paranoid at the weekend because I wasn't so tired, never mind the fact that I hadn't been working!
I went for a private scan last weekend which really put my mind at rest. Things can still obviously go wrong but I know that last Sunday everything was just fine.

StellaWilke · 25/04/2019 20:49

@smartcarnotsosmartdriver Good to know it's just not me then. Guess we should just keep quiet and feel grateful!... Sending solidarity to all others that are having a more nauseous time...

Azure83 · 25/04/2019 21:21

Another one with no symptoms here! Sore boobs at the beginning but they've settled now. It was the same with ds1 though so I'm trying not to freak out.

elephantmarch · 25/04/2019 21:23

I googled private scans near me and Harley street came up first. Probably won’t be 59 pounds but perhaps I could get my nose done at the same time Wink

fonxey · 25/04/2019 21:29

Glad to hear from others who as of yet have not experienced any. I kinda would like some though. Bit not between the 4th-14th may as on holiday. That's when i will prob feel sick! Hah. I'll be 7-8 weeks by then.

I think i do have sore boobs. But as bad as other people described though. I mean, 8 guess i expected now as my boobs often get like this around my period.

My cat walked about on them this morning and more sore than usual. So hmm.

agteacht · 25/04/2019 22:44

Hi everyone

I am really stressed out today as have had really bad pain in my right upper arm and shoulder from about lunchtime. Stupidly I googled and it's a symptom of ectopic. Now terrified. DH thinks I'm over-thinking it and has banned me from google. Hope he is right.

Nearly called the EPU but by coincidence have private scan booked for tomorrow afternoon and I'll be 7+4 tomorrow. Going to hope this is a crazy coincidence and that tomorrow's scan is all normal.
