I'm hoping I haven't missed a December 2019 thread- apologies if I have.
I got my BFP at 10dpo this morning, giving me an estimated due date of 2nd December.
I know it's incredibly early-I'm very nervous about that at the moment!
Is there anyone else with a December 2019 due date yet?

@trishaG Congratulations! X

BostonFern · 07/04/2019 09:59

Welcome and congratulations @SunStruck @lordofthefries @trishaG

Oh no @Kizzy8705 hope you and your little one are feeling better today

@SideEyeing I'm jealous you're on Easter holidays already-another week to go here and then I'm going back in to do revision classes 😭. Your GP sounds awful!
Hope you can get the boiler fixed ASAP.

@BostonFern Yeah I'll be in to do revision classes next week, joy! Bugger that you've got another week to go - though at least you'll have that week after Easter to relax. Next term is a pretty short one, too (5 weeks for us, followed by 7 for summer 2). I hope our boiler gets fixed too - freezing!

Where abouts is everyone based? I'm a Londoner but moved to the North East a couple of years ago (which might explain how wussy I'm being about the cold now)

RobinsNest17 · 07/04/2019 11:39

Hello everyone! I've just got my BFP this morning, quite early, and I'll be due roughly around the 17th December.

This will be my second baby- my last was a December birth too- I've been a member of Mumsnet since I was last pregnant in 2017, but haven't had the nerve to actually post before. However I'm so nervous and excited about this pregnancy that I so desperately need to be able to speak about it to someone other than my husband.

I had a history of recurrent miscarriage before having my little boy, so whilst his successful arrival gives me some confidence I'm still really nervous about this one.

I saw there are a few teachers in this thread- I'm also a teacher although took a 'short' career break for this academic year- I guess it'll be a bit longer still before I get back in the classroom if all goes to plan now!

SideEyeing · 07/04/2019 11:50

Hi @RobinsNest17 - congratulations! Another teacher too - I wonder what made all the teachers feel the need to procreate in early/mid March? I totally understand the nerves - it's such a stressful time. My mum keeps telling off.. I keep having to remind myself that all I can do is appreciate that 'today' I'm pregnant. I hope you're having a relatively peaceful Sunday!

Anzibar · 07/04/2019 12:02

Hello everyone! I got my bfp last week on a clear blue digital which said 1-2 weeks, so still early days. This is my first and I haven’t told my OH yet as he’s on a stag do and didn’t want him to stress. I’m scared how he will react as we haven’t been trying.

I may also join the fb group, it’s nice to be around people going through the same thing xx

agteacht · 07/04/2019 13:13

@SideEyeing mine was missed too so I know how you feel. My SIL is pregnant at the moment too, although she doesn't know about me yet. But they told us really early before their scan while we are holding out from telling anyone until after 12 weeks. They've never miscarried so that's just the difference in nerves - and therefore I reckon I just have to play it cool and relax as if this was my first with no MC, because worrying definitely isn't helping me. Hard though eh :)

BostonFern · 07/04/2019 13:28

Welcome and congratulations @RobinsNest17 and @Anzibar

@SideEyeing I'm in the Midlands-it's not very warm here at the moment either!

@SideEyeing which part of the north east are you? I'm from Newcastle but living in Durham now.

Very little nausea so far but I'm so bloated I've gained 5lbs and my loose jeans are tight 🙄 with dd I didn't bloat until much later on and was horribly sick from 4/5 weeks.

SideEyeing · 07/04/2019 14:57

@codenameduchess I'm in Co Durham - small village near Bp Auckland. It's been quite a change from South West London but love it!

I don't really feel nauseous any more (boo, anxiety) but my boobs are hurting a lot. Seems things come and go at different times. The exhaustion is pretty constant though!

Welcome @Anzibar - congratulations! It'll be my first too, fingers crossed. When is your DP back?

codenameduchess · 07/04/2019 15:05

@SideEyeing Bishop Auckland is a lovely place, the company I work for covers a fair bit of the area 🙂.

I'm not as bothered by nausea, but it seems to be car travel making me gip🤢 and I do a lot of driving! Hopefully this passes quickly or the 400+ miles a week I drive is going to be tough.

CantCope32 · 07/04/2019 15:51

Thank you @SideEyeing - congrats on yours too

He’s back tomorrow and I am dreading it 🙈

SideEyeing · 07/04/2019 15:55

@CantCope32 When I found out about my first pregnancy (which sadly wasn't to be) I was terrified about telling DP as we hadn't been together long and I was on the mini pill. I ended up telling him via text and then turning my phone off as I was so scared of the reply. Needn't have worried - he was thrilled and so, so lovely. It didn't end in a baby but his reaction to that total shock was one of the reasons I realised he's a keeper. I'm sure he'll be okay - it took two to tango!

SideEyeing · 07/04/2019 15:58

@codenameduchess 400m eek! I confess I only got my driving license a few months ago - at the age of 27! (28 now) It didn't seem essential in London but given our village doesn't even have a shop I had to sort one out. I just about manage a ten min drive to work - 400 miles a week is impressive! Usually driving oneself doesnt feel as sicky as you're staring straight ahead

codenameduchess · 07/04/2019 16:16

@SideEyeing I always said I'd never commute but when I was offered the job I'm in the distance was cancelled out by salary and progression.... home working isn't a problem so no doubt I'll end up taking that option!

Is anyone carrying on working out? I usually do bootcamps or HIIT 5/6 days a week but I've been advised to avoid lots of jumping/bouncing (including burpees!) so thinking I might have to swap to slightly less intensive routines.

CantCope32 · 07/04/2019 16:18

@SideEyeing Aw he definitely sounds like a keeper! Thank you, that’s made me feel better, I’m on the pill too so it’s all a bit of a shock and I have no idea what I’m doing - which I’m sure a lot of us don’t ha

SunStruck · 07/04/2019 16:31

@codenameduchess yes I work out 5-6 times a week, 2 times with a PT, weights once myself and 2-3 times cardio pending on the week.

I haven't had a first scan yet, but will ask at my first appointment. I have to train because it is good for my mood and stress levels, and I have a very sedentary job so I feel awful if I don't. I think you can go on as normal with some tweaks, and not training so hard so you're out of breath! For me, I will lift a bit lighter but more reps, and instead of spinning classes where I give everything up to 98% of my max heart rate I'll do cross trainer on a hill setting for an hour!

Sweetpeace · 07/04/2019 16:42

@codenameduchess i usually run 3 times a week and do a yoga class on a Saturday. I skipped yoga this week as I didn’t want to tell the instructor yet and was wary of some of the poses. Running has been HARD. I’ve struggled to get to 5k on both runs this week

elephantmarch · 07/04/2019 20:16

@codenameduchess i also love hiit. I put some weight on when I stopped breast feeding (but kept enjoying the calories) and hiit helped me to tone up and lose it slowly. I turned up to my regular class, told them I was pregnant and the instructor told me not to do the class, or if I did not to jump or lift weights which left only lunges! I think I’m going to see if I can get some PT with someone who specialises in pre natal for half an hour to see what they advise. Whilst I’m feeling pretty much myself I’d like to do something more energetic

codenameduchess · 07/04/2019 23:23

@elephantmarch I'm very got a pt session later this week to go over some safe exercises, did a boot camp tonight and the instructor gave me a couple of substitutions. I'm avoiding the 6am ones because I can't get my ass out of bed that early now 😂

cadihaf · 08/04/2019 06:33

Had my BFP yesterday!! Dd 13th Dec according to google. Will be #2, facebook group still going from #1 - have we got a FB group? Aaaaaaaaargh!!

blondie87 · 08/04/2019 06:57

I'm due 10th December and I'm another teacher to add to the mix!

SideEyeing · 08/04/2019 07:14

Welcome @cadihaf and @blondie87 😁

SideEyeing · 08/04/2019 07:15

Lazysundays18 · 08/04/2019 07:34

Hi everyone! I'm a teacher too 🤣 (secondary English) & I'm due 11th December. I had a mc in December & a chemical last month so trying to stay cautiously optimistic.
