I'm hoping I haven't missed a December 2019 thread- apologies if I have.
I got my BFP at 10dpo this morning, giving me an estimated due date of 2nd December.
I know it's incredibly early-I'm very nervous about that at the moment!
Is there anyone else with a December 2019 due date yet?

Thanks for the warm welcome everybody!

@happilyevernever is that a private early scan or your 12 week scan? X

@JayDot500 4+4 wow, ok so you're not too far ahead of me. I don't know why, I just assumed everyone was 5-6 weeks already. I'm 3+6 today. I am going to change GP in the next two weeks (as we've moved house recently) and one of the questions on the form is if you're pregnant! I'm going to say yes though and hope they'll sort me a booking in appt with the midwife. I feel like I have to always add a caveat that IF this is a sticky bean. I know it's still verrrrrry early days.

@Fuiseog from what you've written, everything sounds fine and normal. Was it a lot of blood or just a drip? I really wouldn't worry about a small watered down bleed. Easier said than done, I know. Has everything gone back to normal now? Fingers crossed for you. When is AF due? The coming Sunday (7th)? So it's still very early days for you? Deffo could be implantation.

agteacht · 05/04/2019 19:46

Hi all so lovely all of us are in the same boat with this!

@Fuiseog I got an early BFP at 9dpo, then had very light bleeding at 13dpo, totally panicked but 5 days on no further bleeding and test lines strong so I think it was implantation or basically settling in uterus if that makes sense! Btw are you Irish?

happilyevernever · 05/04/2019 19:53

@WildFlower2019 It’s a private scan at a place nearby, still a 12 week scan but a bit more personal than NHS.

BostonFern · 05/04/2019 20:03

@Roxybaby12 today's been a bit less hectic at work, so not quite as tired, thanks x No new symptoms, sneezing a lot but I think that's the start of hay fever.

@Lozzlepop Nah, it's the Adamson as my booking is there (birth hosp will be Kirkcaldy) Don't think you have to pick it up prior, she just said i might like to.

Bit of a headache today but otherwise feel 100% normal. I'm surprised how many of us have no symptoms.

MinnieLou · 05/04/2019 21:45

So no more bleeding or cramps since the other day which is a good thing however I suddenly don't "feel pregnant" so much anymore since then 😩

I am going EPU on Monday as doctor referred me anyway and we'll see from there, I'm hoping they can tell me all is still ok.

Also received my booking appointment for 7th May (took two days from self referring to receive it!) I will be a day from 10wks. (Hopefully!) need to figure out an excuse for work so I can go to it without telling them what it's for 🤨

agteacht · 05/04/2019 21:52

Great that no more bleeding @MinnieLou
Hopefully the scan will give you some reassurance, let us know how it goes

What's a booking appointment? Is that the first appointment and then do you go back for a 12 week scan after that? Just realised I don't know what order anything happens in!! 😂

BostonFern · 06/04/2019 06:50

That's good news about the bleeding @MinnieLou , 🤞 the scan provides reassurance.

@agteacht My understanding is the booking appointment is the first one with your midwife, lasts about an hour and they get a detailed history and take some measurements and bloods, the appointment after that should be the 12 week scan.

MinnieLou · 06/04/2019 10:36

@agteacht thank you will do! & yes it's what @BostonFern said so booking will be my first one with the midwife at 10wks then I will be booked in for a few weeks later for a 12wk scan. X

Fuiseog · 06/04/2019 11:12

Thank you, everyone, for the welcomes and congratulations and especially for the reassurance! I feel much better this morning and the messages really helped! Also I took a CB Digital this morning and it was lovely to see Pregnant spelled out! Grin

@WildFlower2019 Yes, would have been due tomorrow so very early days! And although the same thing has happened once or twice, it's not every time I go to the bathroom and it seems less each time it does happen so I am fairly sure it's implantation. Phew!

Good to know I am not alone, @agteacht - I actually read something overnight that said implantation isn't a once-off moment but a process that can take a few days, so some people can get a bit of blood throughout that or at any stage of it. Apologies if I read that on this very thread - was in a sleep haze and can't remember where!
And yes, I am Irish - my username gave me away I think, much like yours! Do you mind if I ask, if you are based in Ireland/Dublin region, how you picked your hospital? I have no idea how to make that decision and would like to at least be leaning one way before I see my GP. She may have a recommendation or be associated with a particular one, and I'll probably just go with that if so... But if not, I'd like to have some idea before going in! Googled driving distances from my house and they are all within a 7 minute margin of one another so no great difference there!

@MinnieLou Hope things continue to go well for you

SunStruck · 06/04/2019 12:04

Hey guys, I'm also tentatively joining... I am week 3+4 according to Natural Cycles, so very early days! Predicted due date is 18 December.... my DH's reaction to the date is that the baby better don't come late on Xmas Day (he LOVES Xmas, he's like a child lol).

I'm 35, this would be the first child so quite anxious (happy, but I've never ever been pregnant before so I really don't know what to expect!). It also happened very quickly, first or second month trying.

I have an early scan booked on the 18th of April, so I should be 5+2 by then - Do you guys know if the OBGYN will be able to see a heartbeat or is it too early? It's a viability scan as I'm 35, and DH is traveling day after for 2 weeks so wanted to book it in before so we both can go.

dalecooperscoffeecup · 06/04/2019 13:35

Don't think so, seem to recall it's six weeks but happy to be wrong 🤔

Fizzy cola bottles are about the only thing keeping my mouth feeling normal. Not so good for the teeth though!

Kizzy8705 · 06/04/2019 14:24

Hey guys not been around for a few days, have popped on the Facebook group though

Hey newbies and welcome

I’m so so poorly me and my 6 year old son have a stomach bug. I actually nearly had an accident outside, wasn’t my finest moment. All the pains are freaking me out so have to remind myself it’s diarrhoea pain and bubs has no clue what’s going on and is safe

I have had some stringy discharge just once tho that I’ve not had before so that’s worried me

In my head I’m 5+5 but the doctor has me as 6+5 as not sure when period was, so I’m unsure if this type of discharge is normal for gestation

Kizzy8705 · 06/04/2019 14:25

Also motherhood doesn’t stop when you’re this poorly, trying to clean my poorly boy whilst puking in the sink. Save us 😭 OH is away for a week with his little girl

Lorna2019 · 06/04/2019 14:30

@Kizzy8705 That sounds truly awful. I hope you get better soon! X

lordofthefries · 06/04/2019 17:56

Do you mind if I tentatively join, I got my BFP this morning, and from what I can work out am due on the 2nd

SideEyeing · 06/04/2019 18:39

Checking back in again. I just got my 3+ on the dreaded CBD at 5w today (though by ovulation I think I'm more like 5+3) so feeling a little more settled but still unnerved by the lack of symptoms. I've held back from testing since Wednesday so wonder when it would have appeared.. DP cross that I'm 'quite literally pissing away our payslips!'
Thank you to everyone for being so welcoming! Funny to see so many teachers on here - I'm another (secondary English teacher). Very relieved to be on the Easter break now. The last couple of weeks since the bfp have been a blur, terrible timing with the run up to GCSEs!

Does anyone else feel irrationally livid for no particular reason? I keep getting really irritable and tearful over nothing. Poor DP.

SideEyeing · 06/04/2019 18:45

@agteacht and @fuiseog - I've had spotting too, between Sunday and Weds.. it seems to have eased off recently and was very pale pink but worried me a lot. I'm actually a bit pissed off with my GP - saw him on Tues and begged for a blood test (given my previous MC) and he refused, though helpfully pointed out that if I 'keep crying and worrying' my 'uterus will contract' - cheers!

Pip231018 · 06/04/2019 20:19

@SideEyeing OMG yes!!! I'm selling some wardrobes and everyone keeps asking me questions that are in the listing. I am literally raging. I'm like 'Can you not read?' but at the same time can't cope with all the people who want them and feel bad saying no to people! Stressing me right out before going back to raging again.

dalecooperscoffeecup · 06/04/2019 22:29

I hate everyone more than usual.

Sweetpeace · 06/04/2019 22:55

@SideEyeing Your experience with the GP sounds awful. Do you have an existing relationship with that GP? I’d refuse to see that GP again and go with someone who is more understanding and has a more compassionate manner

SideEyeing · 07/04/2019 07:44

@Pip231018 Ahh glad it's not just me! That wardrobe scenario does sound infuriating though 😂 I've definitely had to bite my tongue at work when questions are asked that I've already answered several sodding times

@Sweetpeace it was rather bizarre! He also said blood HCG was only good for diagnosing if a pregnancy is ectopic, to which I said 'well I'd like to know that, too!' It's a polyclinic so you see a different doc each time depending on who is available. DP was furious and wanted to march me back in but I got all British and embarassed through my tears. The worst thing was it felt like the doc genuinely thought he was being nice and comforting.

agteacht · 07/04/2019 07:59

Hey @Fuiseog ... definitely a giveaway, has got me thinking about Irish names!!! Unfortunately can't help you on the hospital as I am living in London now. Have no idea how they're chosen here either, if anyone here knows please say!

@SideEyeing sorry to hear about the bleeding and the crap doctor experience, the way I look at it is if the spotting was minor in volume then the baby is still there. Simples. I miscarried a year ago and that was a whole different ballgame as it sounds like you know too @SideEyeing. I would like a blood test for peace of mind too but don't see the doctor until the 18th. Took a digital this morning instead to see the words (ridiculous I know!!). I definitely will need to go for an early scan...

trishaG · 07/04/2019 09:23

Yes I am due 5th December 2019 🎉🎉🎉

SideEyeing · 07/04/2019 09:37

@agteacht I hope you're right! I did ring the EPU who dealt with me before and they were really kind and reassuring. I think what unnerves me is that my MC was 'missed' and I had no symptoms at all so I'm absolutely terrified of it happening again. Fingers crossed for both of us; it's so unbelievably stressful.

Great start to our Easter break (DP also a teacher) - the pissing boiler has packed in. Currently huddled in bed with coffee (one cup a day..down from many) toast and the laptop.
