@Elizabeth134 congratulations! Wishing you a speeding recovery οΏΌ

@SquirtlesMumAgain the original application form you mean? It can take up to six weeks to process. I got a text once it had been received saying not to contact them for six weeks. About two weeks later got a letter saying it had been approved and the money started going in about a week after that so all in all about 4 weeks.

Wineandchoccy · 16/03/2019 08:26

@Elizabeth134 congratulations hope you are both ok

firsttimemumjess1 · 16/03/2019 08:43

Congrats to everyone who’s had babies!

Sorry for the radio silence! Freya was born via water birth on 08/03/19 weighing 6 pounds 4. She was born at 37 + 5 days! She arrived on my final day at work so I didn’t get to say bye to colleagues or have my planned 2 weeks of chill time before her due date! It’s been a whirlwind! My labour started with the mucus plug a few days before and then my waters broke. My labour progressed super fast and was only 3 hours 40 mins! I used gas and air. It was a lovely birth and the midwifes were great!

I’ve since really struggled with BF due to abrasions on my nipples but have sought support from a BF counsellor who checked her over for tongue tie and all was ok. It was actually my positioning. I was getting so hung up on β€œnose to nipple” etc that I was creating a rod for my own back. Since seeing the counsellor I’ve had no pain so I would advocate not quitting and asking for help-there’s a lot out there.

@firsttimemumjess1 congratulations Thanks

Sheeni · 16/03/2019 10:15

@Elizabeth134 and @firsttimemumjess1 Congratulations to both of you! Flowers

My scan this morning showed all-ok, although it looks like he disengaged a bit again (little bugger). My bump must be 5* hotel comfy or something.

AssumeItWasSomethingClever · 16/03/2019 11:31

@firsttimemumjess1 congratulations! She's beautiful with such a gorgeous name.

Angelmiracle · 16/03/2019 11:39

Congratulations to everyone who's had their baby - they're coming in thick and fast now! πŸ’œ

And I have one to add to the bunch: Bridie was born at 2am on 15/3/19, twelve days late. We were back home just after 1pm yesterday (didn't even make it into the maternity ward!) and have been getting to know each other Smile

Jenfur · 16/03/2019 12:49

Congratulations @Elizabeth134 @firsttimemumjess1 @MistakenHoliday hope you're all doing great.

Love logging in and seeing another bunch of babies!

And not at all jealous, honest

MistakenHoliday · 16/03/2019 12:53

Grin @Jenfur I'm definitely glad I'm on this side now!

fanks · 16/03/2019 13:02

Oh wow so many babies! Congratulations Grin

Anxiety has settled today so managed to eat.
Baby is manic at the moment, constant movement feels like they are trying to break out Shock

CaseofEllen · 16/03/2019 13:24

Congratulations @MistakenHoliday Thanks

Gronk27 · 16/03/2019 18:06

Random question. Can you catch chicken pox from a house where a child who has it was recently? And how dangerous is it for a pregnant lady? I’m not entirely sure I’ve had full on chicken pox though I’ve had shingles. My nephew has is and is looked after by the PIL. We wanted to see my MIL before she has her knee replacement on Monday but don’t want to risk a poorly me or baby.

Hermagsjesty · 16/03/2019 18:17

So many beautiful new babies, congratulations!

Sictransitgloria · 16/03/2019 18:17

Congratulations @elizabeth134 @firsttimemumjess1 & @mistakenholiday lovely to see healthy babies arriving!

@assumeitwassomethingclever love the name Emilia. I think Emelia Belle is lovely.

@gronk27 I wouldn’t risk going anywhere near chicken pox, especially so close to D-day. Chicken pox is infectious until all the spots have crusted over. The risks I believe are low but 😬 (someone brought their child in with chicken pox at work and I ran a mile!)

Gronk27 · 16/03/2019 18:18

As in nephew was there in the week, he won’t be there this weekend.

Gronk27 · 16/03/2019 18:19

@sictransitgloria I know what you mean. I just wondered if it can linger in house? I won’t be near the person who actually has it.

Sictransitgloria · 16/03/2019 18:26

@gronk27 ah I see! As long as they have cleaned up where he has touched as you would with any kind of infection, I suppose it would be ok? And wash your hands?

SquirtlesMumAgain · 16/03/2019 19:23

Congratulations @firsttimemumjess & @mistakenholiday!

@caseofEllen - it was the money coming in once you sent back the acceptance form. I originally was suppose to stop on 4th March, but ended up finishing a week earlier but then not sending the form back until about 6th (as I was in hospital with flu) so would have expected money this Friday, but mauve just being optimistic about the ability of the government's payment system

Gronk27 · 16/03/2019 19:31

@squirtlesmumagain I missed the acceptance form step. I reckon they will inform you of when they plan to make your first payment first. But it was pretty swift for me on the whole so fingers crossed they will get a move on.

@sictransitgloria I might see how I and MIL feel about it tomorrow.

CaseofEllen · 16/03/2019 19:42

@Gronk27 I would say as long as the anti-bac has been out since DN left you'll be okay! But if you're worried don't risk it. My DN has chicken pox atm so I'm skipping family event tomorrow!

@SquirtlesMumAgain ah I see! All I would say is make sure it gets backdated if you miss out on what you're owed. Mine was backdated over Β£900 Shock

SquirtlesMumAgain · 17/03/2019 09:52

Thanks both - hopefully just the post being slow!

Angelmiracle · 17/03/2019 13:15

How are we all keeping? Who's due next week?

We had a lovely day at the wedding on Friday. My feet are permanently swollen now - I was lucky to get sandals on. Was glad we had the excuse to take Granda home after 8pm.

Yesterday went to soft play and bowling with my sister cousin and all the kids. As exhausted as I was. I thought it might help get things going Grin

I waken every hour through the night with sciatica down whichever leg I'm lying on. So heavy moving in bed. And my bump looks huge πŸ˜₯ it's very uncomfortable when the baby wiggles about between bladder bowels and back. No other signs as such.

Wineandchoccy · 17/03/2019 13:39

@Angelmiracle it sounds like you need a rest after all that Grin

DH isn’t well full of a cold and sore throat praying me and dd 1 & 2 don’t catch it. I’m about to brave soft pray with the 2 of them Shock
