Oh good luck @Angelmiracle won't be long now!!!

After spending the last 2 days either being monitored or refusing induction I'm booked for c section in the morning.

Tootyfrooty35 · 31/03/2019 15:43

Good luck @angelmiracle and @fanks for tomorrow, I bet you're relieved that there is a plan.... Sometines the uncertainty is just too much isn't it.

Angelmiracle · 31/03/2019 15:58

@fanks thank you and best of luck.

Thanks @Tootyfrooty35!

Think there's a green tinge to the waters on way to hospital now

Hope all is going well @Angelmiracle

cardboard33 · 01/04/2019 00:43

@angelmiracle good luck, hopefully your sister will get to meet baby after all!!

@fanks hope all goes well today/tomorrow - you're nearly there now!

@nightmaremanager sounds promising too, maybe you've got your baby now?

For all those still waiting, if you get them out in the next 11 hours or so it'll be a fantastic April Fools joke!!

Nightmanagerfan · 01/04/2019 00:56

@cardboard33 still no sign of baby! At home in early labour - contractions about 8-12 mins apart so I think it might be a while longer. I’m feeling pretty relaxed and the tens machine is helping. Hopefully I’ll have good news tomorrow

Angelmiracle · 01/04/2019 03:18

@nightmanagerfan home is the best place to be in many ways as then you don't have the midwife telling you that you can't do XYZ as they can't listen to baby's heart etc. Hope the tens machine is still useful, I still haven't decided if mine was a placebo effect but I'd definitely use it again.

@angelmiracle congratulations!! April Fools Day baby... Hope your sister gets to meet her and buys you good stuff for life for getting her out on time.

Wineandchoccy · 01/04/2019 03:55

Congratulations glad your sister will get to meet her new niece

Wineandchoccy · 01/04/2019 03:56

@angelmiracle congratulations! An April baby 😍 hope it all went well.

@Nightmanagerfan hoping you're having those first cuddles right now too 😊

Absolutely nada happening here, other than feeling baby's head sooooo low and the odd cramp here and there. 40+4. Just going to get on with my week and know I'll have my April baby soooooooon!

SquirtlesMumAgain · 01/04/2019 11:00

Jenlou1992 · 01/04/2019 12:28

Hi all my little girl arrived by cesarean Friday 29th 17:30pm . Weighing 7lb 1oz . Came home Saturday and just trying to adjust . I'm breast feeding and my milk has come in this morning. Baby is on me 23 hours a day as she will not be put down she just cries. She has only slept on my or OH. The minute I try put her down she cries till I get her and will only settle when I comfort her back on the boob . Anyone else have any similar experiences? I'm so tired. Up 90% of the day since coming home .

cardboard33 · 01/04/2019 12:42

@jenlou1992 congratulations!!! It should get a little easier now your milk has come in, I think. A lot of us/all of us on the post pregnancy thread have had similar/identical issues - you might find that useful to read? Mine now is 4 weeks old and stayed in his crib for the whole night last night (aside from feeds etc) wheras originally he wouldn't settle anywhere that wasn't on us.

We found putting husband t-shirt in the crib helped. Don't put yours in as it smells of milk. We are also going to try hot water bottle before we put him in, but initially they're just scared at everything so want to stay close to you at all times.

Nightmanagerfan · 01/04/2019 12:50

@cardboard33 @tootyfruity35 still all v slow here - contractions v irregular. I did get some sleep so not feeling too awful but would like things to progress a bit more. First contractions happened 6pm Saturday so not sure when I should call the midwife to see what’s going on? Waters still intact. Baby moving lots which is good

Hermagsjesty · 01/04/2019 13:03

Congratulations @jenlou1992! It’s a big adjustment, isn’t it?! Like @cardboard33 my little one is 4wks today and has turned a corner in terms of settling when not being held. My HV recommended co-sleeping (with no pillows or duvets near baby and just me and him in the bed - DH evicted to camp bed!) to survive the early unput-down-able days. Everyone is different but it might be worth reading up on and weighing up the risks as a way for you to get some rest...? Enjoy the newborn snuggles!

Hermagsjesty · 01/04/2019 13:03

Good luck @nightmanagerfan! I hope things speed up for you soon.

Angelmiracle · 01/04/2019 15:28

Thanks all!! She's amazing. Took to feeding like a duck to water. Getting home this evening πŸ’žπŸ˜Š
