Phoned, they weren’t concerned. Told me to monitor it (whatever that means!) and out on a pad and ring the birth centre if needed.

AssumeItWasSomethingClever · 24/03/2019 09:10

Good luck to everyone who seems to be progressing! I hope it is the real deal 😊

Has anyone else's baby's movement slowed down at all? I spoke to my midwife about it at the 38 week appointment and she said it's normal as long as it's still moving to it's normal pattern. Mines never really had a pattern though and the movement is still there but I do have to concentrate to feel it most of the time. Unless it's when I'm eating and then it pushes around enough to make me feel sick. I'm slightly concerned as it's been very quiet since Thursday but don't really want to ring the triage after the advice I got from my midwife.

Gronk27 · 24/03/2019 10:03

@assumeitwassomethingclever it was more that the movements changed. More rolling and shuffling than kicking, etc. Sometimes I have to actually look at my stomach to see the movements instead of feeling them. But as always if you’re worried give MW a call.

Angelmiracle · 24/03/2019 10:44

@AssumeItWasSomethingClever mine was quiet last weekend but picked right back up to normal frequency of movements at start of the week. I just wasn't sure if I was too distracted too have noticed but when they picked up there was no mistaking it.

I'd ring triage if I were you being concerned since Thurs. Every appointment I've been at MW consultant who all have said make sure to ring if movement reduces. You're too close to the finish line now x

Good luck everyone!! You're all so close to the finish line now!!! Flowers sorry you're all struggling to sleep etc, sounds horrendous.

Today is my due date. Currently have a 3 week old feeding like it's going out of fashion in my arms. You will all get there!

AssumeItWasSomethingClever · 24/03/2019 12:30

Thank you @Gronk27 & @Angelmiracle. It seems to have picked up now. Sod's law, as soon as I posted on here it started rolling away!

Angelmiracle · 24/03/2019 12:55

@AssumeItWasSomethingClever that's what you want! Good to hear it.

Gronk27 · 24/03/2019 15:08

@cardboard33 and my due date was 11 days ago, it’s funny. When you look at the list of us I really didn’t expect to be having my baby near enough the end of March (and some might actually be mid April date I say it!!)

@assumeitwassomethingclever good to hear. I usually think hmmm she’s a bit quiet and then sit and concentrate and relax for a bit and give my tummy a rub and she starts having a shuffle.

So I’ve now had some slightly more intense β€˜period pain’ dare I say random contractions and a full on bloody show/mucus. I’ve had a bath, a nap and off for a walk in the sunshine.

HidCat · 24/03/2019 19:01

@Sheeni congratulations!

@Gronk27 hopefully you're well into established labour but if not I hope you're getting some rest.

Nightmanagerfan · 24/03/2019 19:27

@gronk27 hope you enjoyed your walk and things are ramping up now!

My due date is Wednesday and I feel fine so far - had about 90mins of cramping/tightening around my bump late last night and have lost some of my mucus plug, but no other signs. To be honest I’d quite like another few days rest! Did a five mile walk yesterday and had a lovely impromptu lunch out with friends on the river today enjoying the Spring sunshine β˜€οΈ

Dalesgirl16 · 24/03/2019 20:18

@Nightmanagerfan you did a five mile walk? I can barely walk the past few weeks have been almost constant lightning crotch all day and night. Roll on Friday and I'm retiring this baby making machine!

CaseofEllen · 24/03/2019 21:27

Evening everyone, hope you're all doing okay and are either having babies or getting close to having babies!

I DTD about 7pm then had a bath. Started getting some back tightenings in the bath and have been coming quite strong every 10ish minutes since then. Rang delivery suite (first time I have had enough of a sign to bother) and they've said sounds like it could be the start of something, ring back or go in if the pain becomes too much or waters break. AIBU to ask for you to all send me labour vibes? I'm +4 overdue tomorrow and ready for my boy to arrive!

Jenlou1992 · 24/03/2019 21:47

@CaseofEllen fingers crossed this is the start for you . I should DTD but I'm too scared. I felt really uncomfortable last week afterwards when we did it. Not that I'm much comfier just resting up haha. Please keep us updated . Hope your baby arrives soon

AssumeItWasSomethingClever · 24/03/2019 21:56

@CaseofEllen good luck! I hope it's the start of something for you!

ballanj · 24/03/2019 22:00

@CaseofEllen sending you positive vibes for things to progress! Looking forward to reading more announcements from you all in the coming days. My little boy is 10 days old already and pregnancy seems a lifetime ago!

Angelmiracle · 24/03/2019 22:34

Lots of contraction dust to you @CaseofEllen πŸ’«

@Jenlou1992 we DTD last night in a bid to move things along but I couldn't relax and asked DH to hurry 🀣 So romantic πŸ™„ But I felt very swollen down below afterwards.

@angelmiracle haha honestly who knew pregnancy would be so attractive . My OH has been wanting to do stuff but I can't bare anyone near me at the best of times during this pregnancy. I am just very agitated at the moment . I'll be 10 days over tomorrow and part of me thinks this child will have teeth by the time he/she arrives Grin . Hoping we have a birth story tomorrow at least even if it's not me

Sictransitgloria · 25/03/2019 00:18

Soooo after a bit of a whirlwind labour - waters going at midday, baby Franklin was born at 5.45pm today. He is a dot, 6lbs 5oz!

cardboard33 · 25/03/2019 01:05

@gronk27 I know it's so weird, as I spent the whole pregnancy looking at you ladies with due dates in early March being Iike "that will be me in 3 weeks" and feeling like you were all so far advanced with your symptoms etc then when I got to the same week it never came, so definitely did not expect him to come so early and for me to queue jump you all!! In our NCT group half of the babies have been born now, all early and no one got beyond 38.5 weeks. How are yours doing, beyond you? Hopefully you will avoid induction!

@caseofellen sending vibes your way!! Although sounds like you hopefully won't need any...!

@nightmanagerfan sounds lovely!! And long may it continue. Hopefully you'll be one of the "lucky" ones without any warning signs of impending labour and just end up with a baby a few hours later. Whilst it was a complete shock I'm now thankful it happened that way as I've got no idea how these ladies have been coping with a stop start labour.

@sictransitgloria congratulations!!! You did it! And he's teeny tiny for full term too! Hope the birth was as good as it can be.

Wineandchoccy · 25/03/2019 04:27

@Sictransitgloria congratulations on your tiny boy x

CaseofEllen · 25/03/2019 06:32

Thanks everyone. Seemed to slow about midnight, fell asleep and woke up 5/6 times with pains until 6am. Been coming quite regularly again since so started timing them again.

Have had a fair amount of bloody mucus since they started, seems like my show has been going on for days now οΏΌ

Congratulations @Sictransitgloria Thanks

Jenlou1992 · 25/03/2019 07:11

@sictransitgloria congratulations ! Flowers
@CaseofEllen all signs look promising.. I think you will have your baby today!

After my period pains yesterday I've had nothing . Mood is constantly up and down . More down today. Feeling fed up .

Angelmiracle · 25/03/2019 07:51

Lovely news congratulations on your new baby boy @Sictransitgloria πŸ’™

@Sictransitgloria congratulations!

Gronk27 · 25/03/2019 11:11

@sictransitgloria congrats!

Little update, been in early labour for about 17 hours. Hospital not keen for me to go to the birth centre yet as they aren’t every single one super intense and lasting over a minute although they are 3 in 10. I keep acting all calm on the phone as well and even my contractions are more bloody manageable! They still want me to go to the induction ward which I’m happy to do as I can be assessed.
