Thanks everyone, fair amount of blood but seems to be slowing down now! Likely just part of bloody show but always panics me when there's blood in pregnancy!

@Angelmiracle glad you had a positive meeting! Hoping you feel more reassured Smile

@Jenfur @Sheeni hope you're both feeling okay! Maybe we will have two babies born on the thread today, good luck!

Had some intense lower back pressure and period type pains but fell asleep about 12, just woken up for a wee and feeling okay. Which is annoying Sad just want baby out! Really wanted sweep to work.

cardboard33 · 22/03/2019 04:54

@angelmiracle so glad you had a positive experience and they listened to your concerns and you could develop a plan you and husband felt comfortable with - let's hope it stays like that! And you had a sweep too - good going, you should be proud of yourself.

@sheeni I hope you've woken up your partner and are enjoying the TENS machine (or are already at the hospital) by now. I used a TENS machine all of the way through my labour and thought it worked although definitely get your partner up to help with the pads and also give him control of the timing of your contractions. You also don't know how long this period will last - my labour was 9 hours total from first contraction. Think I put the TENS machine on around 2am, we were at the hospital by 5am and he was born by 8.30am so it's not always a long haul situation! If it is though the TENS might mean you can also get some sleep.

Gronk27 · 22/03/2019 06:53

@caseofellen same, bit of period type pain and back pain. Lost three tiny bits of mucus. This is turning into a waiting game. DH working from home today after I had a weepy moment last night. I think I might refuse induction tomorrow and ask them to push it back if possible.

SquirtlesMumAgain · 22/03/2019 07:24

Hope there has been some progress for those of you labouring overnight

Jenfur · 22/03/2019 09:43

We've progressed! Matthew was born at 5:39 this morning weighing 8lb 6oz. Will update properly when I can but we're all doing well and hoping to go home again later

Gronk27 · 22/03/2019 10:08

@jendur congratulations!!

Sheeni · 22/03/2019 10:31

Well done @Jenfur. Congratulations!
I'm just on my way to the induction. Contraction intervals 3-12 minutes Angry. I know I should be walking, but the pain is worse if I'm standing. Didn't want the epidural, but now I'm going to tell them to give it to me asap. I'm so tired, didn't sleep more than few 10 minutes intervals. TENs not doing anything, I actually feel like it made the contractions more intense. I hope I'm at least a bit dilated. Sad

Gronk27 · 22/03/2019 10:45

@sheeni all the best with it!

Angelmiracle · 22/03/2019 10:51

@Jenfur congratulations!

@Sheeni good luck with induction, you can do this!

@Gronk27 this is so frustrating isn't it Sad glad DH is home with you today, my DP also home. Hope something progresses for you 🀞🏼

Gronk27 · 22/03/2019 13:18

@caseofellen very but I’m trying to be positive. I’ve had a bounce on my ball, a bath whilst listening to a hypnobirthing MP3 and a nap. Made us some omelettes. Watching Beauty and the Beast now. Not had anything since this morning though. Pretty resolved not to have an induction tomorrow still. Hope you’re doing ok.

SquirtlesMumAgain · 22/03/2019 13:53

Congratulations @jenfur and good luck @sheeni

Sictransitgloria · 22/03/2019 15:00

Congrats @jenfur - you did it!

@angelmiracle so pleased that the visit went well and you are feeling positive :) and exciting you had a sweep.

Thinking of you both @caseofellen and @gronk27 and look forward to hearing your babies have been born safe and sound x

@sheeni fingers crossed your baby is here or nearly is :)

MyMumDimensionJumps · 22/03/2019 15:31

Congrats Jenfur. Glad all went well and hopefully you'll be home soon.

Best of luck to all those showing early signs of labour here. Hope all goes well for you and things progress quickly.

CaseofEllen · 22/03/2019 16:37

@MyMumDimensionJumps @Sictransitgloria thanks οΏΌ

How are you @Gronk27 any progress?

HidCat · 22/03/2019 17:43

@Jenfur congratulations!

@Sheeni I hope things have been ok for you.

fanks · 22/03/2019 19:22

Good luck everyone

Congratulations @Jenfur

Gronk27 · 22/03/2019 19:43

@sictransitgloria @caseofellen had a very nice relaxing day. We've just been to the shops and Frankie and Bennys and while we were there I had a lot of movements and a couple of period pains that felt a bit like a wave type feeling. Teeny bit of mucus again. Nothing since though. Having a bounce on my ball. DH is having a sleep. He's said he will speak to the hospital tomorrow on my behalf if I meet negativity about not being induced which has made me feel a bit better.

How are you caseofellen?

CaseofEllen · 22/03/2019 19:53

@Gronk27 all sounds like it's moving in the right direction still! Are you booked to be induced because you're overdue by 10+?

I'm not too bad. Having the odd crampy pain in stomach and lower back. Lots and lots of mucus still and so much pressure down below.

Have been having this on and off for days now so not expecting anything to come of it but trying to keep positive! May go for a bath and have a raspberry leaf tea Smile

Gronk27 · 22/03/2019 20:50

@caseofellen sounds like we’re in a similar boat. I’m still only getting little bits of mucus. Yes because I’m 40+10 tomorrow but I want my body (and baby) to have a go at doing this itself. I’ve been on the raspberry leaf tea as well. Might go and walk up and down the stairs with my banging tunes on.

Sheeni · 22/03/2019 22:26

Say hi to little Arthur Sebastian, born today 14:25. I didn't get the induction in the end, by the time they checked how dilated I was (3 hrs after I arrived to the hospital), I was 7cm already, although my contractions were 8minutes apart. Took another 30-45 mins to get me to labour ward and by then I was only able to have gas and air. I can tell you this was not fun. Luckily I managed to push the little boy out in 25 minutes, even though it felt like hours. But it's done, he's lovely, even though not feeding super well yet. I'm overtired, slept maybe an hour in the last 40 hours. 😴

Since last night's sweep- no plug coming away at all. Pinkish discharge stopped this morning. However getting very sharp tightenings and pressure this afternoon and tonight as if baby's working at my cervix. Quite uncomfortable. Hope progress is being made.

My family had organised a meal out for my birthday which was so nice but I didn't let on how uncomfortable I was. So tired and glad to be home. Want to hibernate now.
