Hello everyone,

I couldn't find a Nov 19 thread so apologies if there's already one.

I got my (somewhat unexpected) BFP today when AF was 5 days late. I wasn't expecting it as I'm still bfing my toddler and my cycles have been all over the place. Safe to say that we're excited and nervous though!

My stats are:

27
Have DS 16mo
Due approx 8th November
4w 4d

Hopefully some of you other mums to be will join me soon!

Morning. Congrats! I'll join you Smile

3+6, first child, fifth pregnancy.

Had a termination ten years ago, followed by three mc in the past 8 months. One at 4 weeks, one at 4+5 and one mmc at 11+6 (baby stopped growing at 6+3). So I'm understandably very nervous at present. Although I promise not to be a downer!

Here's my line progression so far, think I'm 11dpo today.

Oh and I accidentally bought First Response Rapid Result tears instead of early result ones! So my BFP on 8dpo is very encouraging as hopefully it means things are progressing nicely.

GrapesAndCheese · 04/03/2019 12:30

Welcome @jacquesjacques! I'm happy to have some company. Congratulations!! And yes very good line progression!
Sorry that your journey has been bumpy so far. Hopefully it's smooth sailing for here on in.

Have you had any symptoms so far?

I've now noticed sore nipples, bloating and my forehead is breaking out a bit. All in all I'm looking great Hmm haven't noticed much else though. I was lucky to have a very easy pregnancy with DS but I don't know how different it will be now I'm running around after him all day!!

Got my BFP this morning. Either 4 weeks or 3+6. Due date roughly 12 Nov

Still very early days and I have a history of miscarriage (3 out of 5 previous pregnancies) but quietly hopeful.

I have a 7yr old and 8 months old

Unsureursula · 04/03/2019 13:39

Hello all!
Can I join too please?
So stats are:
30 (just, and in denial lol)
Pregnancy number 1
Due approx 6 November (roughly 4 weeks 5 days)

I am very nervous about everything really, MC, childbirth, maternity leave. Found out I have a fibroid in January and so DP and I decided to TTC. It seems to have just taken one cycle which is quite the shock but we’re happy! Hoping we can all support each other

GrapesAndCheese · 04/03/2019 22:16

Welcome welcome @Unsureursula and @Mintypea5! Exciting to see the thread building up.

I wonder @Mintypea5 if you don't mind me asking- do you still bf your 8mo? Just I've read online about baby's weaning when you're pregnant and supply goes down and I wondered how you felt about that? DS loves bfing soooo much but I don't know wether he'd self wean if my supply dropped off. I can't work out whether I'd be really sad or really happy about it ha.

Totally normal to feel overwhelmed @Unsureursula!! Hopefully it'll sink in soon and you can start to get excited. Really positive that you got a BFP on your first cycle.

OP posts:
Unsureursula · 05/03/2019 09:08

Yes it’s starting to get exciting but obviously the first 12 weeks in particular are nervous time! How are you both feeling?
I’ve the nausea on and off, sore nipples, bloating and the spottiest face in years!!!!

CsMumma · 06/03/2019 07:14

Hey ladies, can I join too?

Got my bfp yesterday and I'm still in shock, even though we have been trying!
Here's my stats,

34,
Have a little girl who's 3,
Due date roughly 13th November so still early days.

I've been feeling ok, very sore boobs and more tired than normal, feeling exited and nervous at the same time. It's a long wait till the 12 week scan!

Xx

Unsureursula · 06/03/2019 08:44

Welcome!! Yes it’s a long wait isn’t it!! I actually have an early scan on the 12th as I have a fibroid so assume they just want to check. V nervous in general! Congratulations and that’s a lovely age gap!

PyjamasForever · 06/03/2019 09:29

Can I join?

Had a very very very faint bfp last night, so took a frer this morning which is very positive. By LMP I'm only 3+2, but I ovulated really early this cycle so think I'm probably a couple more days along.

Stats:
31
Have a 2yr old DS
EDD 18/11/19

I've been really queasy for the last 2 days with a metallic taste in my mouth since the weekend. Boobs sore this week too.

CsMumma · 06/03/2019 12:08

@Unsureursula yes it's a long wait! Not sure how I going to wait so long. Hopefully it all goes well for your scan. My little girl will be 4 once baby comes so will be a lovely age gap and means I get to spend the year before she starts school with her too.

MrBobLoblaw · 06/03/2019 13:28

Welcome @PyjamasForever and @CsMumma! Congratulations to you both.

Has anyone else told any family/friends yet? We haven't and I don't know whether to wait until after the 12 week scan but as you say @CsMumma it feels like a long time away!

Still got sore nipples and quite tired (no change there!) but I don't feel very 'pregnant' otherwise!

Unsureursula · 06/03/2019 13:47

Hello all! We haven’t told anyone yet as planning to wait until 12 weeks. However, I am flying home to Ireland to family so it’s a difficult one! Feel bad not saying anything but at same time if anything goes wrong I think DP and I will just want to go through it ourselves.

Unsureursula · 06/03/2019 13:49

@CsMumma Awh that’s lovely! Plus your little one will totally understand the excitement of a little sibling Smile

wbk17 · 06/03/2019 17:14

Hello everyone Smile

May I join?

I am due November 1st and this is my first. Feeling weirdly happy, much happier than I was when I wasn't pregnant which is a bit strange! Sleeping pattern is a bit screwed up at the moment and feeling every tired but other than that I don't feel too different..yet! Feel somewhere between excited and calm and massively overwhelmed!

CsMumma · 06/03/2019 18:43

We haven't told anyone yet either, I think we will tell close family then wait till our scan to tell everyone else. We are on holiday next week so will probably wait till after that to tell family. We won't be telling our daughter till after our scan, she would be too excited not to tell!

@Unsureursula yes she will totally understand the whole new sibling thing and I think she will love being a big sister!

PyjamasForever · 06/03/2019 18:55

I've told a few very close friends. Going with the theory that it's okay to tell people that I would want to support me if I have a miscarriage.

Feeling really ropey this evening. Hoping that my sickness won't get much worse, but it's so early on that I imagine it will. It's so worth it for the end product though.

PyjamasForever · 07/03/2019 09:09

Woke up and was feeling terribly sick overnight. I literally only don't feel sick when I'm eating. Considering putting a sandwich in my bedside table for overnight tonight.

Day off work today, lots of cleaning to do but I just want to snooze and then wander around the shops looking at teeny, soft, beautiful baby clothes.

How is everyone else doing?

Unsureursula · 07/03/2019 09:51

@wbk17 I completely echo what you’ve written!!

Welcome all!!

Sorry to hear that @PyjamasForever but I like your sandwich idea Smile

wbk17 · 07/03/2019 10:01

The main symptom for me is tiredness. Have got into the habit of going to sleep quite early (23:00, which is quite early for me!) because I can't keep my eyes open and then I am awake from about 1:30-7 and asleep until 11!

Hope everyone's doing okay, I'm waiting on edge for the morning sickness to start

MrBobLoblaw · 07/03/2019 11:19

Welcome welcome everyone new.

I'm also just soooo tired all the time, despite toddler DS finally sleeping through the night.
When I was pg with him I had terrible heartburn so I'm not looking forward to that. Still spotty and bloated, roll on the magical second trimester.

Any other London mamas here? I had DS at Kings so I think I'm going to do the same this time, though I'm potentially considering a home birth as he was born so fast!!

Unsureursula · 07/03/2019 11:28

@MrBobLoblaw I am also London based! ImQCCH all going well!Yes so spotty and bloated - hoping I start to look slightly more appealing soon lol!

RainhamRosie · 09/03/2019 07:41

Hi all.
Can I join please? I got a BFP yesterday and tbh I'm pretty shocked. I had a CP on 10/02/19 and I'm terrified that this is just a hormone hangover although I tested negative between the CP and this BFP.

I think I'm about 11 DPO and have worked out 17th November as my due date.

TBH I'm just a bit panicky about the whole thing!

@RainhamRosie

Not to worry, I'm also panicking at actually terrified!!
