Hello everyone,

I couldn't find a Nov 19 thread so apologies if there's already one.

I got my (somewhat unexpected) BFP today when AF was 5 days late. I wasn't expecting it as I'm still bfing my toddler and my cycles have been all over the place. Safe to say that we're excited and nervous though!

My stats are:

27
Have DS 16mo
Due approx 8th November
4w 4d

Hopefully some of you other mums to be will join me soon!

Welcome @RainhamRosie and congratulations!!

Has anyone booked in to see thief GP yet? I'm going on Thursday I think and I've self referred to my hospital as that's what I had to do last time. I remember it took ages to hear anything from them and then it was all pretty prompt after that. Still feels surreal to be on this journey again!

PyjamasForever · 10/03/2019 11:23

I think it's pretty normal to be terrified the whole way through pregnancy (and beyond!!).

CsMumma · 10/03/2019 12:42

@MrBobLoblaw I phoned my surgery and asked what I had to do as was with a different surgery with my last. They gave me a number to self refer to the midwife with. We are on holiday this week so I'm going to phone when I come back and take it from there.

Hope everyone's doing well! It's so hard not to worry in these early days but I'm really trying to just relax, easier said than done! Grin

TheInventorofToasterStreudel · 10/03/2019 13:11

Anyone else a little bit nauseated?

keepforgettingmyusername · 10/03/2019 13:57

Hi everyone, 4+3 with DC2 here. Fresh off the back of 3 mc so feeling a bit unsure about the whole thing but my boobs are a bit sore today and I am starting to feel slightly nauseous. Today's tests!

wbk17 · 10/03/2019 17:11

@TheInventorofToasterStreudel

Yes, pretty much all day! Stomach is feeling unsettled whenever I've just eaten, however I have the problem where I want to eat everything in sight (when I'm not too nauseous) and my stomach is like a bottomless pitGrin

PyjamasForever · 10/03/2019 20:59

@TheInventorofToasterStreudel a little bit is a massive understatement. I've been feeling so sick for a week that initially I was convinced it must be a bug as if felt it was too early for pregnancy sickness.

Zarara · 10/03/2019 21:08

Hi can I join please.

I already have a 2.5yrold, my due date is the 11th. Feeling quite bloated already and really thirsty!

TheInventorofToasterStreudel · 10/03/2019 21:24

Glad it isn't just me. Last time it was Exorcist style - I've bought a stash of sick bags for work!

RainhamRosie · 10/03/2019 22:19

@wbk17 @MrBobLoblaw Thanks for the welcome. Glad I'm not the only terrified one!

I've just been ridiculously tired and grumpy today. Poor DH is walking on eggshells.

MrBobLoblaw · 10/03/2019 22:38

Welcome @Zarara I'm also super thirsty! Especially in the morning. Have you told your DC that they're going to have a sibling yet?

Welcome also to @keepforgettingmyusername. Sorry about your mc and fx for the rest of your pregnancy.

Ive avoided nausea so far @TheInventorofToasterStreudel luckily. Didn't get it too bad with DC1 so really hoping I'm lucky again! Sorry that you've been suffering.

Unsureursula · 10/03/2019 22:38

Yes to feeling nauseated!!

Littleseed · 11/03/2019 11:43

Hi @GrapesAndCheese and all the other lovely ladies here. Flowers
Thanks for making the November thread! Smile

It's lovely to read everyone's journey and to know that we're not a lone.

I first tested on Friday 8th of November, in the morning at around 11:40am and wasn't convinced it was a BFP. Maybe because I was impatient and tested on my own when DH couldn't be around.
I made a thread on here and was advised to wait 48 hours and re-test, which I did yesterday- Sunday the 10th of March (you can see I'm journaling, lol Wink ).

This time, to avoid all doubts and to ensure the pictures I took were absolutely irrefutable evidence, I took my pictures against a timer clock so I KNOW it was definitely within that 5 minute reading window, and also to test how quickly the line will show.

When I tested yesterday, it was already 15 days after AF was supposed to arrive. So this was mine:

@Unsureursula you and I have a lot in common! Even our dates are so close! I'm supposed to be the 5th of November, and I have several fibroids which I was actually referred for, but in the meantime this lovely surprise popped up! It's great to hear that we'll be monitored more closely. Do you know what size your fibroid is? Also, if it's not too personal, can I ask why you said you decided to TTC after finding out about your one fibroid?

The reason I ask is because I was worried about this lovely news being alongside those nasty fibroids- particularly when they're a good few centimetres in size. [Sad]
Your post was uplifting though as the fibroid was the reason you decided to TTC.
You'll be having your first scan on Wednesday, yay!

I'm a bit worried overall ladies. This is our first ever, and we have had problems TTC for over 9 years so this was nothing short of a miracle, but I just need to understand what'll happen with all my other gynae related stuff now. I have an appointment with the GP this week (which I'd booked before BFP!) So we're hoping to get clarifications and understand everything then.

How is everybody feeling today?

sorry about my long post Blush

Hi @Zarara @MrBobLoblaw

I've been feeling abnormally thirsty, and originally, kept putting it down to things I'd eaten that were a bit salty- like pickles, olives etc.

Then I noticed I was still super thirsty even without eating those things! That was when I realised it had to be a symptom! I was shocked yesterday when I read an article on here (the week by week ones) where there was a comment from one of the users who mentioned she felt abnormally thirsty. I was like wow, this is real, and it IS a symptom! You've both just confirmed that too. Halo

My back has been feeling so sore. I'm resting up against a water bottle at the moment.

Mintypea5 · 11/03/2019 17:59

Posted last week but then had spotting so hid away but re tested this morning after no spotting for a few days. Gone from a faint positive last mondayn(1 day before period due) to a strong one today! 5 weeks according to due date calculator.

Out of 5 pregnancies before this I’ve had 3 miscarriages so really anxious. Just keeping my fingers crossed this works out.

Have a 8.5 month old and 7 yr old

Bells84 · 11/03/2019 20:55

Hi all.
Congratulations to you all.
I’m hoping to join if that’s ok.

I’m 34, considered over weight by the gp although only a size 14/16 and have previously had CIN3 which resulted in Lletz procedure (I now have a piece of my cervic missing as a result) so the GP said I will be high risk. It’s our first pregnancy and I am worried but mega happy.
@csmumma we have the same due date of the 13/11/19 Smile

Littleseed · 11/03/2019 22:10

Aww @Mintypea5

It's great you had a BFP today! Flowers Congratulations!
Your little 8.5 month old will be so close to your new bun, aww. Halo

Wishing the best for you and for us all!

Littleseed · 11/03/2019 22:11

Hi @Bells84

Welcome! Flowers
Hopefully everything will go lovely and smooth.
A lot of women who were high risk have had wonderful, successful pregnancies and births. Smile

It's great we're all in this together and are all the November bunch. Grin

Mintypea5 · 12/03/2019 00:43

Thank you @Littleseed

I always find the early stages so nerve wracking! Typically I don’t have my symptoms so it takes a while to “feel pregnant “ does anyone else have this?

RainhamRosie · 12/03/2019 06:31

@Mintypea5 I've had fluctuating symptoms which has been driving me crazy. But I do have to keep reminding myself that I'm pregnant, it's like it flies out of my mind every so often. Confused

Pamplem00se · 12/03/2019 07:57

Hi ladies. I'm about 4w 2d pregnant. Slightly reluctant to join as has a fairly horrendous mmc last May. Also hate the early pregnancy bit And this is my only pregnancy without spotting (so far). Trying to be optimistic but with fluctuating symptoms it's hard. In the past I've found early scans unhelpful as they only really reassure me for the duration of the scan. Unfortunately I've a pre-existing appointment to monitor a cyst in a fortnight so not going to have much choice!!!

0lapislazuli · 12/03/2019 10:05

Hi all, I got a bfp last week and am just over 5 weeks. I’ve had a difficult two years with multiple losses so hoping this time will be ok. Hoping to get an early scan at seven weeks and that still seems ages away!

Mintypea5 · 12/03/2019 11:14

@Pamplem00se I know exactly how you feel. I also feel like anything I do jinxes me 🙈

RainhamRosie · 12/03/2019 13:33

Congratulations @Pamplem00se and @0lapislazuli I hope that these pregnancies are sticky for you and everything goes well.

I had an early miscarriage last month and getting a BFP this month was completely out of the blue and has knocked me sideways a bit. I'm constantly comparing all my symptoms and doing a frantic knicker scan every time I go to the loo.

Fingers crossed we all welcome lovely babies in November x

Littleseed · 12/03/2019 14:06

@Mintypea5
You're welcome! Flowers
Yes, little or no symptoms would definitely add to the " am I really pregnant" list!
Hopefully you start to feel more soon and we all have healthy pregnancies and babies at the end of it.
big hug ladies! Flowers
