Hello everyone,

I couldn't find a Nov 19 thread so apologies if there's already one.

I got my (somewhat unexpected) BFP today when AF was 5 days late. I wasn't expecting it as I'm still bfing my toddler and my cycles have been all over the place. Safe to say that we're excited and nervous though!

My stats are:

27
Have DS 16mo
Due approx 8th November
4w 4d

Hopefully some of you other mums to be will join me soon!

Hi @0lapislazuli

Thank you so much for the link and for telling me when the blood tests are usually done. Flowers

I'll be having a read through.

Lost5stone · 14/03/2019 19:32

I remember quite a few blood tests with DD but I was tested for gestational diabetes a couple if times (she was a beast but no diabetes). Always a faff for me as I seem to have shy veins so get passed around being jabbed until someone finds one!

Littleseed · 14/03/2019 20:59

Oh no @Lost5stone! You poor thing! Hopefully the veins will be nice and clear this time.

BlodwynBludd · 15/03/2019 09:43

Oh god yes all the blood tests. I'd forgotten about them. Amazing how you forget so quickly! How's everyone feeling. Still no symptoms so I'm still testing daily. I think pregnancy is making me mad!

Littleseed · 15/03/2019 13:26

Lol @BlodwynBludd can you imagine how much money these HPT companies make from us all? Grin

BlodwynBludd · 15/03/2019 17:15

I dread to think how much I've spent on hpts, ovulation testing, acupuncture, reflexology.... I could have taken a chunk off the mortgage!

Littleseed · 15/03/2019 21:57

Oh no! haha. Grin

Aph413 · 15/03/2019 22:25

Hello all mind if I join? Either 4 weeks or 4+5 depending on using lmp or ovulation. Was refusing to believe it yesterday and I've been having almost ovulation style pains today. But my test this evening was a blazing positive, darker than the control line which has to be a good thing.
Due either the 17th or 22nd and struggling to stay calm.

Hi @Aph413 and welcome to the club! Smile
That's definitely A BFP alright! It's amazing the line is darker than the control line and I can totally relate to not being able to believe it nor stay calm!
How are you feeling so far?

Aph413 · 15/03/2019 22:41

@Littleseed Bloated and nauseous, but only nauseous at night strangely. First baby if all goes well, 18 months of trying and one early miscarriage last year so very anxious. It's a long wait to get to 12 weeks.

Mintypea5 · 15/03/2019 22:45

Fantastic BFP there @Aph413. Congratulations

Littleseed · 15/03/2019 22:48

Aww, sorry to hear that. Flowers
I've said to myself and others, just remember that with every sunset, that's one day further along @Aph413. Flowers
It'll be our first as well, God willing- after years of trying!
Are you taking Vitamin D and Folic acid? You can get them prescribed by the doctor and we're also entitled to free prescriptions and dental treatment. I didn't know until I googled!

Mintypea5 · 15/03/2019 22:52

The free dental treatment is a godsend! One thing I didn’t know about pregnancy until I had kids is it can destroy your teeth! Some people lose them or like me yjuncan end up with gum disease caused by pregnancy Hmm

The exemptions last for about a year after baby is here too

Littleseed · 15/03/2019 22:58

Yes, you're right @Mintypea5 it's really common to get dental issues while pregnant- I've known others to have major issues. I'm hoping for the best, but have very weak enamel and my gums are already inflamed!
I'm still waiting for my exemption certificate to come through.

BlodwynBludd · 16/03/2019 07:34

Congratulations aph. It is so exciting but yes so very nerve wracking right now.

MrBobLoblaw · 16/03/2019 08:16

Hi every one I would love to join this chat. This i my 3rd pregnancy. I had a miscarriage at 11 weeks on 30th march 2018 and miscarriage at 5 weeks in October 2018. So finally pregnant again I'm now 5 weeks and 5 days and due on 11th November. I am just praying all goes ok this time. I'm trying to relax which is so hard and trying not to worry. We have wanted a baby for so long. I'm 38 now so time is ticking and we have been trying for a few years

Mintypea5 · 16/03/2019 19:29

Mommytobe2017 · 17/03/2019 08:10

Hi,

I'd like to jump on the Nov 2019 bus 😁
I got my BFP on Friday.
Slightly unexpected but kind of relieved as I haven't been feeling well for the last few weeks.

According to LMP I'm 4+6 but I took one of those dating POAS and it says 2-3 weeks so 🤷‍♀️

I'm 28 (29 in July) with a 21 month old daughter

I've had a dodgy tummy, gurgling and constantly on the loo. Bloating and heartburn. Feeling achy and constantly tired. I don't remember it starting this early last time!
Hormones!

Mommytobe2017 · 17/03/2019 08:11

Oh and due about 18th Nov 🙂

Mintypea5 · 17/03/2019 20:22

@Mommytobe2017 congratulations on BFP! We have a thread here too which is a bit more active if you want to join us
