@maxiflump1 great news about bringing it forward fingers crossed 🤞

Lookingforadvice123 · 29/01/2019 12:42

That sounds great welshweasel, two blocks of 3.5 hours with a one week old is lovely!

babyp160 · 29/01/2019 12:42

Anyone else had nausea return? Midwife said it could be a early sign of baby coming but I'm 37 weeks so not feeling hopeful. Although I couldn't sleep until 1 and was up at 3am so he may as-well be here 😴

sickmumma · 29/01/2019 12:48

Good luck today @Yakadee

And that's great news @maxiflump1

Hope all goes smoothly for you both!!

Yakadee · 29/01/2019 13:13

She's here! Emma Sophie Roberts. Weighing 7lb13 and she's perfect! Section went well, I did lose some blood so will be checking on my levels but very straightforward really.

Hope everyone is OK xx

@Yakadee Congratulations!

Celebelly · 29/01/2019 13:17

@Yakadee Congratulations!!! She's gorgeous Thanks

AliceRR · 29/01/2019 13:18

For a second I thought my waters might have broken. I wa laying in bed and felt the wetness move down (sorry TMI) but when I went to the loo it seems like normal discharge albeit maybe a lot some days so don’t think it’s anything 🤔

maxiflump1 · 29/01/2019 13:25

Aw huge congratulations @Yakadee she is absolutely gorgeous and I love the classic names. Roll on Friday for me now!! xx

Notquiteagandt · 29/01/2019 13:29

Oh look at those cheeks 😍 congratulations shes lovely @Yakadee

detachablehoof · 29/01/2019 13:31

@babyp160 I was feeling really sick a couple of weeks ago, especially at night, but it seems to have eased off now - I'm guessing as baby has moved down my stomach is bit less squashed, I'm not getting as bad heartburn either.

Those who are FF - how much milk are you taking to hospital? I bought one of those packs which comes with teats (as my hospital says they can't provide facilities for sterilising bottles) but that's only four bottles - I guess I should get another four or maybe even eight, in case I have to stay in longer than I'm expecting?

mummymummymummummum · 29/01/2019 13:39

Congratulations @Yakadee 😍

2019Mama · 29/01/2019 13:51

MrsY87 · 29/01/2019 14:02

Congratulations @Yakadee glad you had a positive experience

welshweasel · 29/01/2019 14:23

Yay congratulations @yakadee! She’s beautiful. So glad you had a lovely birth.

powkin · 29/01/2019 14:30

@babyp160 - I had some really bad wretching and nausea this morning. I often get a bit due to congestion and what I think has been a long standing sinus infection but today was quite different and felt much more sick.

Had a bit of a funny turn getting out of the bath too, quite dizzy.

AND have this awful shooting nerve pain up my back, not down my legs like sciatica. Totally forgot to mention it with the bloody consultant yesterday, I had to wait almost an hour and my brain had switched off by that point!

NotAsGreenAsCabbageLooking · 29/01/2019 14:56

Congrats Yakadee!

I haven’t had any nausea, however I am still being sick two/three times a week. But it’s not as bad as the 24 hour nausea that I had in the first few months 🤢

bubblybrit · 29/01/2019 15:07

Congratulations @Yakadee. She is absolutely beautiful 😍 xx

babyp160 · 29/01/2019 15:45

@Yakadee how gorgeous! Love the name too! Xx

Glad it's not just me. Feel bloody awful!!!

powkin · 29/01/2019 15:59

@babyp160 - I agreed to take part in a research project at my scan and now they’ve called to suggest that my bloods put me at high risk of pre-eclampsia, before proceeding to tell me not to worry. Yes, because pregnant women are so good at not worrying about the health of themselves and their unborn child. I dreamt last night that Pip had died and I had to give birth to her so really wasn’t the best day for the news, especially after feeling sick this morning and wobbly after getting out of the bath. I find it so hard when they ask if you’re feeling well when it’s like ‘well I’ve never been 36 weeks pregnant before so have absolutely NO idea what’s normal and what’s ‘unwell’’! Argh. Not what I wanted or needed!

babyp160 · 29/01/2019 16:03

@powkin could have written that myself.

I have swollen feet which I know the midwife always worries about but I spoke to her today about how poop I feel and she said as my blood pressure if fine and I have no headaches with it it sounds fine.

Hard as I don't want to pester her at all but as you say I don't know how I should feel 🙈

twiglet · 29/01/2019 16:16

Congrats @Yakadee she's lovely hope you're resting too!

AmberRose17 · 29/01/2019 16:17

@powkin I had the same thing about the research project on Pre eclampsia. Are you at Kings by any chance? I have a higher level of a particular hormone in my blood that means that if I have six pregnancies (as IF!!) I would develop PE in one.

I had a meeting with the research lead and they were clearly keen I join the study, which would involve either having statins or a placebo if I’m in a control group. I’d have also had to have regular scans and BP monitoring.

I was very torn as didn’t want to endanger my baby and also am very supportive of the amazing research they do there. But equally every bone in my body was telling me I needed to finish work, rest and prepare for the baby. So I declined. My BP is fine (always has been) and I’ve had no signs of PE so far. Baby is due a week today and I’ve been enjoying my time off and getting ready for his arrival.

So I guess it’s a long winded way of saying do what you feel is right for you and your baby and don’t be too thrown by scary words like”high risk”. Good luck!

And congrats @yakadee, she’s beautiful!
