Hi, great to here all the scans going well. I'll be 7wks tomorrow and see my gp on Thurs so looking forward to finding out when my 1st scan will be. Will definitely be having the nuchal fold scan, as I'll be 37 in Sep, but imagine that I'll be paying for it. You can get scans done in the public system here but the appts are snapped up quickly I believe. Can't ask people too many questions though yet, as no-one knows no.3 is on the way yet
Managed to get through the 40th party we went to on Sat night, without any questions as to why I wasn't drinking the free champagne
Have been feeling very nauseaus in the last week, haven't gone off any food in particular, craving carby type food more than anything though. Did have to go out and buy some french onion dip yesterday and ate half the tub before feeling ill about half an hour later
Off to sit in dd1's wendy house now, she wants to do something outside whilst dd2 is sleeping......

manamana · 09/07/2007 08:01

morning all. good to see lots of new people and lots of good news. Benn up dropping ds at his granny's for the week as me and dh are t a work conference this week. was v sad as its the first time he's been without both of us but he seems to be having a whale of a time playing in their garden and having them run around after him so all is good . Being at a sales conference is rubbish though - really long days, really rich late dinners and an expectation to drink huge amounts... hmmm, managed to get all my own drinks last night so got 'vrigin' g&ts but not sure if i can pull that tick off every night. Feeling really rough this morning and was properly sick for the first time, nice! Anyway, will be logging on to get my dose of Mnet. Take care all

samsmam · 09/07/2007 08:18

Morning all, Hope everyone had a good weekend.
Night time nausea is a big problem at the moment- not much sleep here. DP been very good and helped out lots.
Remember being like this with LO- not this bad though. Even off chocolate- now there must be something wrong!

Glad you are ok Egg and you had a good holiday.

Checked my weight gain 4lb to date.

Morning guys,

I am feeling bit low this morning. Have had cold/flu like virus all weekend. Ds is also sick and so is being clingy and wont let his daddy do anything....must be mummy! Ahhh.
But think Im feeling low as I have nos ms today and my (.)(.)dont feel as sore plus I had a horrid dream last nite which I wont go into. So I think all this is playing with my mind. Is it ok to get a break in symptoms? I know Im probably being a bit paranoid but could do with some reassurances I think. Anyone else been here?

VictorVictoria · 09/07/2007 09:45

Hello all. teh thread iniatiator [pops in to say hi. am now nearly 11 weeks and can't wait to get teh nuchal scan out of the way

Symptoms DO come and go. I felt pretty good all day yesterday, and boobs weren't very sore. Feel sick as a dog now and boobs are agony. and had scan last Monday at nearly 10 weeks so know all is well.

Jo9977 · 09/07/2007 10:13

Hi everyone!

Welcome to all the new people and great to hear loads of good news!

Hope your scan goes well today MG!

I'm a bit like you smithfield, ms more or less gone and eating like a horse. Boobs still sore though.

Can also relate to the need for prunes - usually one glass does it in twenty minutes - am now on third morning...TMI sorry!

Welcome back Egg and glad you had great time...catching up after a weekend is bad enough so a week...

I've more or less stayed at the same weight but as that was 14 stone I'm not particularly proud Can still get in slightly larger of my jeans which is good as no-one's guessed at work yet. Scan two weeks tomorrow.

VictorVictoria · 09/07/2007 10:40

Can I just say I hjave a proper bump? Didn't show till about 18 weeks with DS. Just seemed to have popped overnight at not quite 11 weeks. am hoping its wind....haven't gone public at work yet but have to say its looking pretty obvious today as am (stupidly) wearing a rather fitted skirt and top

Bumblesmum · 09/07/2007 11:08

Morning Ladies,
I hope you are all well this morning as I feel terrible, I am so tired and I keep getting stomach aches, not sure if it is good or not. I have heard that it is just the uterus stretching but these have been really painful.

Samsmam - Nope I did no shopping for baby, just looking, I have a couple of catalogue for you at home. I just bought a new top from New look, they do have a good range of clothes for Maternity.

Redbush- re: scans, this is what I got told by my GP. Also my friend had a baby last year and she has under thyroid too and had lots of scans, but if you have not had many then maybe you levels have been fine? how many weeks are you?

lljkk · 09/07/2007 11:19

I have had many moments (over the weeks) of slight cramping down below. I may be wrong, but i think as long as there's no spotting (blood discharge) there's nothing to worry about. In my case, some of it is def. part of the nausea.

bubblesbabe · 09/07/2007 11:25

Morning everyone. I have been panicking about lack of symptoms too - no sickness yet was v v sick with my other 3, boobs less sore and a few sharp pains on one side. have checked about ectopic and nothing fits the bill but worrying just the same. have drs appt on wednesday so will ask for scan i think. i'm happy to go privately as i'm not sure they offer one. I'm 7+6 so may get told off for telling doc too late as I think i'm going to go for cvs due to age - 40.

smithfield · 09/07/2007 11:26

VV- It probably notices more to you than others. You will just have to do what they do on tv, i.e carry a constant prop to cover buump, bag, file, book, lunch box

lljk- you will have to be my voice of reason this morning...keep talking

smithfield · 09/07/2007 11:29

bubblesbabe- my sil had no sickness with her second. Hmmm says me...who currently wants to change her name from smithfield to paranoia mama.
Sorry for being thick but whats cvs

bubblesbabe · 09/07/2007 11:31

chorionic villus sampling - kind of like amnio but earlier from what i've gathered so far. i'm going to have the nuchal scan and blood tests but think i may need reassurance - will see what doc says. Nice to have another worrier on - i am worrying all the time!!!!

rozzyraspberry · 09/07/2007 11:41

Hi everyone - I'm glad I'm not the only one whose symptoms are coming and going. I felt dreadful on Saturday, not too bad yesterday and again today. Mind you DS1 going on and on about a squashed rabbit we saw on the road whilst out for a walk this morning has made me feel a bit green! I've come to the conclusion that the more tired I feel the more sick I feel too.

I've put on around 3 or 4lbs to date which isn't too bad but still 31 weeks to go!

bubblesbabe · 09/07/2007 11:42

don't feel like i've put any weight on yet - am i just having a worrying day!

smithfield · 09/07/2007 11:49

bubblesbabe- yes you are, and its natural-esp i think cos we are both around 8week mark...feels a bit like no-mans land doesnt it! Here Im sending you a cyber-hug

BTW Ive just booked myself a private scan fro mon next week- yay

bubblesbabe · 09/07/2007 11:51

You're right about no mans land! Did you need a letter from your dr for the private scan?

miniandme · 09/07/2007 11:52

Is anyone having trouble with jumpy legs?? Mines are terrible and my whole body is just so resltless im getting hardly any sleep each night,i was the same with dd but was under a lot of emotional pressure then and thought it was due to that but im away the same this time again.
Its so bad it feels almost painful and the serious lack of sleep each night is draining.
Nausea seems to have passed which is great but boobs still huge and very tender.Had another little go with the doppler and got a heartbeat again this morning which is soo reasuring, was a lot easier than last week to find too.

Re the side pains im sure they are known as round ligament pain and are due to the uterus beginngin to stretch and loosen, very common and not at all sinister.

Bumblesmum · 09/07/2007 12:02

Would I be able to hear bumbes heartbeat at nine weeks?

Jo9977 · 09/07/2007 12:13

Oh miniandme - restless legs I have it too!!!! And it's awful!! And the more you think about it the worse it gets, and then I start itching, and then I need to go to the loo...and then....I'm really fed up!!! Don't know what the solution is, tried loads of exercise (walking), relaxing before bed but there seems to be no pattern - if you find anything that helps, let me know!!

smithfield · 09/07/2007 12:41

Jo9977 & Miniandme- Restless legs sounds awful, Think most things you take for it cant be taken during pg, eg iron, dopamine agonists, have you asked MW/GP?

Bubblesbabe- you dont need a letter, here is the link www.babypremier.co.uk. Yiu need to check you are close to one of their clinics.

Bumblesmum- thinks someone said you could hear heartbeat from about 10weeks?

smithfield · 09/07/2007 12:46

jo and mini- this looks quite good,

www.ekbom.org.uk/remedies%20detail.htm

as you can see I am getting lots of work done today

Egg · 09/07/2007 12:47

Bubblesbabe - don't worry about not putting weight on yet. I have lost weight (about 4lb) and I have TWO babies, and I have been eating a fair bit and not been sick. I lost weight last time too until about 12 weeks I think.

Am really struggling to keep up with thread now. Am selling my two old pushchairs so have been busy sorting that out, and have had less time on MN since i got back, and I MISS IT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Hoping that those who used to be regular posters (DearBeatrice / loonyballoony ?) are ok. Not heard from loony since before her hols I dont think, has DB gone away?

miniandme · 09/07/2007 12:56

Bumblesmum its said that you can hear a heart beat from 10 weeks yes,i first heart mines last week when i 9+ 5,then again this morning im 10+3.
I hired a doppler from ebay for 4 weeks
