Melons2 · 20/07/2007 15:55

Hi all, thanks for the reassurance, I guess you're all right, we're all worrying about having different symptoms but ultimately we're pregnant and that's great!! Roll on second trimester when MAYBE we can relax a bit?!!! and possibly enjoy being pregnant?!

Good luck to all of you with scans coming up. Wet and miserable here in Newbury, gridlock on the roads, station shut so I'm off to see if I can get home from work! (obviously should be working but I'm on this website instead!) oops!
Take care all.xx

Egg · 20/07/2007 16:50

Hello ladies! All good at the scan. Still two babies, both are the right size for their age and v low risk of Downs. Definitely non identical as two placentas. Woooohoooooooooo. Tis a great day today.

Hoping Countto10 is ok. Then we can really celebrate .

morningglory · 20/07/2007 16:57

Great news VV and Egg. Can't wait until my nuchal, just to ease my worries. Funny, after one worry is placated, there's always another one which comes up. Problem is, this continues even after the birth.

Had appointment with lovely Mr Murphy, and am more uncertain on what to do. I'd love to continue with him, but I know that it is much more sensible to pocket the money. I think I'll wait until my first NHS appointment before I make up my mind.

He has one of those mini scan things, so I saw mini-me (or mini-he?), and got to hear the heartbeat again. Amazing how reassuring that is.

Hope everyone remains dry this weekend, and hope everything is fine with Countto10.

beansprout · 20/07/2007 17:30

Really pleased to hear that things went well VV and Egg.

Ok here but back pain has been getting work. So bad last night that I could only get about by holding on to the walls. Am seeing an osteopath this evening. Cos this is really a time in my life when I want to stand in front of a man in my pants.

mutha2beagain · 20/07/2007 17:32

Great news for VV, CounttoTen and Egg! Time for a well deserved chill out until the next round of worries start to kick in....

It's going to be busy on the thread next week with lots of us coming up to 12 weeks. Roll on the next 7 days...

Absolutely dying to tell DS that he has got a sibling on the way - he's been requesting one for at least 2 years and asking all sorts of bonkers questions about where babies come from. Can't wait...

beansprout · 20/07/2007 18:13

Sorry I missed you out Countto10!

mutha2beagain · 20/07/2007 18:22

Beansprout - my error - Sorry Count to Ten - not paying attention, just read back thread andyou haven't had it yet - doh!

Looked at your due date and assumed that you'd had scan...

I'll get back in my box...

lailasmum · 20/07/2007 18:35

Hello everyone
Have been feeling terrible this week, had a migraine , flu and being feeling off my food. have gone off everything I normally love. Garlic and mint make me want to be sick and ususally I eat a lot of them but all I really want is plain but fatty foods. Bet I am gonna be huge as I have been going through chips, crisps and chocolate at an alarming rate.

beansprout · 20/07/2007 20:04

Lailasmum - just eat what gets you through. You'll be back on the healthier stuff soon enough!

Mutha - no worries! If that's the worst thing our pregnancy brains come up with between them, we'll be fine!!!

Have just come back from the osteopath. Dignified it wasn't....

ThursdayNext · 20/07/2007 20:44

Evening all. Here I am, sitting in feeling queasy on a Friday night. Again. Melons is right, roll on second trimester.
Really pleased to hear your scans were OK, VV and egg
Did the osteopath help, beansprout?
Lailasmum, I currently eat white rolls and shortbread - that's it, nothing else - so much sympathy for only being able to eat plain food
When are you going to tell ds, mutha2be?

leesmum · 21/07/2007 09:08

Egg and VictorVictoria really pleased for you both that your scans went well, have your dates changed or they still the same.

beansprout · 21/07/2007 18:14

Am still feeling really sick and exhausted. Have ground to a halt this afternoon. Yeesh. 12+1 now, roll on the 2nd trimester...

Osteopath did help a bit thanks, have to go back tomorrow (but not before spending the afternoon in the park with my in-laws, yikes).

bristols · 21/07/2007 19:31

Hi all, haven't been around for ages. Sorry! Am feeling incredibly tired. All the time! Went for scan yesterday. By my dates, I was 11+6 but they only made me 9 weeks Was hoping this nausea and tiredness was going to be gone soon. It's all a bit strange because it means I would only have been 3+6 when I got the BFP. Is that possible?

Happy 2nd trimester to those who are getting there... Not long for the rest of us.

rozzyraspberry · 21/07/2007 20:21

Hi everyone,

Congratulations to those of you who have had their scans! It's so exciting that we are now at that stage.

Bristols I'm sorry your scan dates didn't agree with what you thought. Must have been really disappointing when you thought you were nearly at the 12 week mark. At least you've had the reassurance of the scan so try to stay positive. According to my dates I got my BFP on a clearblue digital at 3+4 so it is possible to get it quite early.

I'm still feeling much better than I did in my previous pregnancies. Trying to be grateful for it rather than paranoid. I've mild nausea along with tiredness in the background so hopefully everything is ok. Will find out on the 30th when I have my scan.

Hope everyone else is ok.

samsmam · 22/07/2007 08:34

Bristols- I got BFP at 3+4 too. Have you been back to work yet?

OP posts:
Egg · 22/07/2007 08:43

Morning ladies. Bristols I remember feeling immense disappointment when pg with DS and thought I was 8 weeks and I was only just over 6, took me ages to get used to adjusted date and was so gutted, but as long as your baby is healthy that's all that matters .

Now has anyone heard from Countto10. Hoping she is ok and maybe just doesn't have internet at home at weekend. Hope her scan was ok.

Leesmum, my due date is still 2 Feb so I can stay here all year - hurrah!!!!

pobletsmum · 22/07/2007 16:17

I've been wondering about counttoten too. I hope you're OK wherever you are. We're thinking of you.

Great news VV and egg.

Hello to everyone else. I hope you're all surviving the 'bleurgh' stage!

I've had a pretty rotten week. I've been quite unwell with a virus, and have been being sick at least 2-3 times every day (having had constant nausea till now, but not being sick). I'm feeling a lot better now, and sickness has stopped, but quite drained, and feeling very neglectful of poor DS.

I have scan booked for 30th July, then a private nuchal one at FMC the following week. Actually one of you might be able to help me. I'm looking for somewhere in North-east(ish) London to park my car to catch the tube into FMC, outside congestion zone, inside M25, obviously as close as poss to a tube station, and as cheap as poss. I've decided not to drive directly to FMC cos of their long delays which could lead to a hefty car park charge. The lady told me that on wednesdays, they sometimes work till 1am!!!!!!!! Any ideas for car parks/side streets etc. would be gratefully received - thanks!

pobletsmum · 22/07/2007 16:23

Forgot to say...

Bristols, Sorry to hear that you've had your dates put back. I was another one with a really early BFP, around 3+4, so yes, it can happen. Will they be giving you another scan to be sure of the dates, as they were so far out, or is that it?

MitfordSisters · 22/07/2007 17:20

Bristols,

Same thing happened to me. DH did maths and suspected I was earlier on than I'd said. Hate to be contradicted, but went for a scan and was told 9+2 last Monday, so only 10 weeks now.

Already put on heaps of weight but now I don't care - it's just like me to get ahead of myself.

Hope everyone's doing okayx

God people keep telling me I have lost weight and how I must eat properly etc. I AM eating, I just have two little monkeys taking it all instead of me... Grrr.

Anyway, DS was in A&E this morning after splitting his head open. Very scary at first but he is fine and has been superglued. He was very brave .

Beany, when is your scan? Must be coming up soon.

Anyone got scans tomorrow? There must be a few coming up this week I imagine.

MitfordSisters · 22/07/2007 17:42

I think if I had a toddler plus twins I might be marginally more svelte Egg - glad your ds is glued back together properly!

I keep eating because it's the only time when the nausea goes away. Trying to keep it healthy - making gravlax (cured salmon)today.

MitfordSisters · 22/07/2007 17:43

Yes, am new - just found the right thread.

mutha2beagain · 22/07/2007 20:13

Egg, sorry to hear you found yourself in emergency room drama - probably the last thing you needed - hope your ds is OK and recovering well.

Have had the laziest of days - two naps during the day interspersed with reading papers and feeling sorry for myself again. DS and DH have been woefully ignored but very good about it. Haven't managed to muster the strength to eat much - handfuls of nuts here and there, bits of fruit, toast, yoghurt etc - but can't face anything resembling meat, fish or anything cooked really.

Pobletsmum - for FMC visit maybe if you want to get on Central line you could park at somewhere like Woodford maybe? Not too familiar with whether there is controlled parking that far out. Good luck with scans anyway.

pobletsmum · 22/07/2007 21:09

Thanks mutha2beagain, haven't heard of Woodford so will look it up on the map. In the past, we've got on the central line at Redbridge (just near M25), but they have controlled parking now.

Welcome to MitfordsSisters! You're due about the same time as me (assuming my dates don't get changed after my scan, as seems to have happened to so many on here)

Egg - poor DS. How did he do it? I'm glad to hear he's feeling better.
