September 2019 babies?

abi2790 · 27/12/2018 14:30

Do we have any September due dates yet?

This one came as a big shock for me. I had my coil out on 30th November and must have conceived pretty much straight away. Considering it took quite a long time to get DD, the BFP was a big shock!

This one will be my third!

@Tefiti2 I have a breastfeeding chair in my little boys room so I think it'll be ok. A few of my friends have just done the newborn and toddler thing so I have a lot of advice at my disposal. I can't wait for our little family to grow. How do you think your little one will react to the news? X

stroan · 30/12/2018 22:39

Finally have reassuringly sore boobs! I do keep forgetting I’m pregnant though - loaded with the cold and was about to take some NightNurse and suddenly remembered.

Have also got some pate stashed in my fridge at home - would normally have it at Christmas but was dieting hard for a wedding! Have been going on about eating it when we get home tomorrow until DH reminded me that I can’t. Oops!

abi2790 · 30/12/2018 22:39

Has anybody noticed any soreness in their mouth? I remember with dd (not so much ds though) that my tongue and gums would bleed a lot but it wasn't so much sore.

@abi2790 I do! I get geographic tongue and it’s much worse when pregnant 😭😭 x

Itsalwayssunny · 31/12/2018 04:01

@stroan I ate a large amount of brie yesterday, then remembered I was pregnant!

MrsLBear · 31/12/2018 07:19

Hi Ladies. Hope I can join!!
Found out this am I'm pregnant. I know it's early days. I'm only 14dpo but got a solid 2 lines on FRER. I know the day I ovulated for sure so I'm pretty certain that's right. Last period was 4 weeks ago today. I can't believe it. I thought when I woke up this morning af was coming as I had that dragging down feeling. But after O I had tugging and af like cramps which I never had before!!

Due date says 11th September which is actually also my birthday!!

Congrats to all you ladies too ✨
🤞🏼 for us all for super sticky beans!

Msd2416 · 31/12/2018 07:19

I’m really struggling with what foods I can and can’t eat everywhere seems to tell me different! It’s my first so I’m panicking then end up crying because I’m hungry! Also never had as many spots in my life! Anyone else already breaking out?

MrsLBear · 31/12/2018 07:51

@stroan I recognise you from conceiving forums!!! 👋🏼

MrsLBear · 31/12/2018 07:52

@Msd2416 I know what you mean. I feel like I need a manual next to me to tell me what I can or can't eat! It's a minefield isn't it.

What pg apps have you girls downloaded? Any recommendations?

stroan · 31/12/2018 08:59

I found this list to be good because it explains the risk and clears up some myths

Hi @mrslbear congratulations!!

Tefiti2 · 31/12/2018 09:12

@impatientmammy what a good idea, I used to love my nursing chair! I’m not sure if he’ll fully grasp the news until he sees an actual baby - I’ve had a big brother top hidden in my drawer for about a year, really hope we get to use it this time! Do you think your little one will understand?
@Mrslbear I’ve got Pregnancy+ which seems good so far, although I haven’t worked out how to add notes to it yet 🙈

W0MANlikeME · 31/12/2018 13:53

Bfp this morning. Bit of a surprise. This will be DC5.....

Due between 30/8 and 1/9 so can't really decide which thread to post on!

Anyone else on dc5+

Msd2416 · 31/12/2018 14:00

Thanks so much that list was great I’ve put it in my handbag haha!!

hannahetc · 31/12/2018 14:49

I spoke to my Drs this morning and asked about tea as I drink herbal/fruit tea only and mainly twinings lemon and ginger. She said there was no real evidence it was bad and one (ONE!!) a day would be fine. I’ve just had a really bad cold and instead of lemsip I was downing gallons of lemon and ginger to keep me going. Guess it is going to be predominantly water from now on!! Anyone know of any teas I can drink in larger quantities?! ❤️

hannahetc · 31/12/2018 14:57

Also, what’s everyone doing in terms of telling people? Are you telling no one until 12 weeks, close family only or everyone?

We were going to tell a couple of people but have managed to get away with not drinking without it raising too many eyebrows. Now I’m leaning towards saying nothing until we know everything is ok.

Karigan195 · 31/12/2018 15:05

I got a BFP Friday. 5+2 today. Got horrible bloating so much I look pregnant already 🤦‍♀️.

stroan · 31/12/2018 16:15

I’ve told my best friend because she knew we were trying and would guess immediately. And the lady who runs my fitness classes so she can adjust things for me.

Apart from that, we’ll try really hard to keep it to ourselves until after the first scan. With DD, I felt very much like a walking womb once the news was out - certain family members seemed to forget I existed as a person!

SJR86 · 31/12/2018 16:46

We've been staying with family during Christmas and for New Year - managed not to let anything slip so far which has been tricky as I'm feeling nauseous especially today. Been using the excuse that I have a tooth infection and on strong antibiotics whenever I'm offered a drink!
Not planning on telling anyone until 12 weeks this time as we told close family at 6/7 weeks last time and it was awful having to 'un-tell' them when I miscarried.
Happy New Year everyone...wishing for happy healthy pregnancies for us all!

impatientmammy · 31/12/2018 17:34

I've been telling everyone. Not even got any symptoms so I have no excuse other than I'm excited 🤦🏻‍♀️
@Tefiti2 I'm pretty sure he won't understand. It's his birthday today so I started showing I'm pictures of when I was pregnant as a build up to when we're ready to tell him. He wasn't interested at all. I've heard good things about the book there's a house inside my mummy book. X

abi2790 · 31/12/2018 21:50

I've told parents and closest friends. My two little ones have been told but I'm not entirely sure they get. Dd (3) definitely doesn't and ds (6) doesn't really understand either. I will explain more to them after 12 week scan.

Happy new year all. Hopefully a good year for all of us. I have booked an early scan for 8 weeks... just counting down an manically symptom spotting and knicker checking until then 😂

W0MANlikeME · 01/01/2019 07:44

I am so spotty Sad anyone else?

Tefiti2 · 01/01/2019 09:09

Happy New Year everyone 😀 quite possibly the trickiest time of year to hide early pregnancy 😂! 5weeks2days today and still hardly any symptoms apart from
sore boobs and a really dry throat and mouth, especially at night! The spots should calm down soon @w0manlikeme - so google told me anyway...!

abi2790 · 01/01/2019 09:40

Happy New year everybody.

These night sweats are driving me mad!! I also started to feel a bit sick last night.

Hi everyone. I got my BFP yesterday on New Year’s Eve and although I’m super excited, I’m also feeling really worried. Due approx 11th September. Great to read about other ladies in a similar position to me xx
