September 2019 babies?

abi2790 · 27/12/2018 14:30

Do we have any September due dates yet?

This one came as a big shock for me. I had my coil out on 30th November and must have conceived pretty much straight away. Considering it took quite a long time to get DD, the BFP was a big shock!

This one will be my third!

@TwittleBee I don't think there's anything specific I think it's just down to my mw, my appointment with her is next week when I will be 8 weeks so will see how it pans out. Saying that I'm assuming I will spot again as I did with my first two children and in that case I'm sure the epu will see me. Will just need to be patient I guess although that's not always been one of my strongpoints!

TwittleBee · 21/01/2019 10:48

all added in for you CookieBlue - only downside to the Google DOc isnt it! I'm not sure if anyone has worked out how to edit on the phone yet!

well tbf on you, after you have already had a MC, it is gonna be even harder to be patient Easterbuns1

waiting4arainbow · 21/01/2019 10:51

Hey ladies!
Haven't been on for ages as sickness kicked in bang on 6 wks and scrolling through my phone makes my nausea worse🙈 been taking anti sickness that the nurse at EPU recommended but it knocks me out 😴
Had a scan at 6wks 2days and seen a teeny Tiny blob with a heartbeat which was lovely. Just wish I felt better as I don't feel like I'm enjoying this at all!
Still haven't booked midwife appointment.. must do that this week!
Can someone add me to the google document please I can't seem to edit it.. EDD 7/9/19 baby number 3 x

Megan2018 · 21/01/2019 11:29

Oh jesus, sat waiting for booking in apt. Waiting room full of heavily pregnant women and screaming babies. Just had overwhelming sense of panic. I do not know anything anout babies, feel like a complete fraud Confused. I am too old to learn this!

MyBreadIsEggy · 21/01/2019 11:31

Boobs still hurt, but I’ve not had much nausea today.
I’m overthinking every little thing. I don’t know why, but I’ve just got a bad feeling about this whole thing that just won’t go away Sad

MyBreadIsEggy · 21/01/2019 11:32

Megan believe me, everyone feels like that with their first!
I remember dd being a couple of days old, we were up doing a night feed and it hit me: “Fuck. I’ve got to keep this thing alive and try not to fuck it up for the next 18 years and I have no idea what I’m doing” Blush
It will come, I promise Smile

abi2790 · 21/01/2019 11:50

@megan2018 dw, that's completely normal! I still feel overwhelmed with my 6 and 3 year old!

@mybreadiseggy I have constantly had that feeling, until my scan yesterday. Dh didn't understand why I wanted to pay for a scan when I can wait until 12 weeks but that is a long time to constantly feel worried and anxious!

I’m panicking every now and then and it’s my second! Partners first and he’s been switching between choosing names and panicking about what ifs. It’s a huge huge life changing experience and it would be odd if you did not have the odd omg moment

boodles101 · 21/01/2019 12:22

Weird pregnancy dreams here too!
I haven't told my work and I won't for as long as I can get away with it. I told them after 12 week scan last time but then I thought it was too early and should have waited. So if I can get away with 16-20 weeks this time I will but obviously all depends on when I start showing!

porge123 · 21/01/2019 12:27

@MyBreadIsEggy 😂😂😂 I think that is exactly how my partner is feeling right now!!
Has anyone used a Doppler at home? And if so what's the earliest you've been able to hear the heartbeat?

LeopardPrintOwl · 21/01/2019 13:11

Sorry if this is a silly question, but this is my first! I’ve got my booking in appt at 8 weeks this Friday; is it the norm to bring DH along?! He will obviously be there for the scans, but is it pointless taking him for this one?

MyBreadIsEggy · 21/01/2019 13:12

porge honestly, I was terrified of dd as a newborn! I was scared of breaking her, not feeding her enough, feeding her too much, her not sleeping enough, sleeping too much Blush
Then DS popped out 17 months later and I was like “meh, I know what to do with this one!”
DC3 can practically raise itself Grin I’ll just feed it every now and again Grin

hodgeheg92 · 21/01/2019 13:12

Lovely to hear about the early scans. I've asked Mil to have DD on a Saturday morning in a few weeks so me and DH can "go for breakfast" (really going for an early scan). We did this last time so we could hear a heartbeat before telling parents and I'd rather DD wasn't there so we can concentrate on this little one for a short while.

@porge123 wait till the vivid dreams turn sexual! They did for me last time anyway Blush

DD's sleep pattern has gone to pieces, I was up half the night with her. It's making me regret my decision to do this all again a little bit Sad and then I feel guilty of course for feeling that way.

TwittleBee · 21/01/2019 13:12

Not pointless him going along at all LeopardPrintOwl ! DH went to my first booking app with DS as meant he would be able to answer the medical and family history for his side of the family. Also if he has any questions then the MW can answer them. Dh would come to my one this time round too but he is working

MyBreadIsEggy · 21/01/2019 13:13

Leopard the booking app is just a lot of form filling.
It might be helpful for DH to be there to answer the questions about family medical history though xx

TwittleBee · 21/01/2019 13:14

dont feel guilty for feeling like that hodgeheg92 - sleep deprivation is horrid! DH and I often feel that way and actually it was what made DH say he didnt want to TTC anymore at one point as DS was waking so badly

Karigan195 · 21/01/2019 13:19

So today’s baby’s bulletin was unusual pregnancy symptoms. No 5 on the list was increased sex drive. Thinking that I may have this since we have been at it like bunnies 😂. Please tell me I’m not the only one

hodgeheg92 · 21/01/2019 13:57

Thanks twittlebee It's just so hard in the middle of the night, I really struggled when DD was little (although I guess everyone does!) She slept through from about 9-11 months - just long enough for us to decide to try again and conceive!

@karigan195 Definitely not! Sleep deprivation and whispered early morning arguments don't make me feel in the mood!

@LeopardPrintOwl if he can't be there then it's a pretty dull appointment, the ones further on when you hear the heartbeat are much lovelier. But if he can then it's a long appointment so lots of opportunity to ask questions. DH won't be coming to mine cos he's having DD. Unless she doesn't need a nap tomorrow afternoon, then we'll have a family trip out!

Karigan195 · 21/01/2019 14:01

First one can take an hr and is mostly form filling. Plus they like to get you alone to do their do check so good to get that out the way lol.

I told my DP to save asking for the time off for the more important appts

Megan2018 · 21/01/2019 14:41

I’m just back from my booking in-was just shy of 2hrs!
Midwife said they prefer not to see partners as there are things to ask about DV/relationship etc so they prefer to see you solo.

KLane · 21/01/2019 14:43

@porge123 I bought one last time and after a lot of you-tubing, I found the heartbeat about 8 weeks, maybe a little earlier. The only problem is it can get a bit obsessive!

TwittleBee · 21/01/2019 14:50

ah that is interesting Megan ! My MW last time was thrilled DH was there as helped with the family medical history and meant she could see our dynamic and that it was good he was taking an interest! Guess it just differs between MWs? Bloomin long app for you!

Well actually DH and I did have sex this morning Karigan ... very unlike us since DS was born haha

happydays00 · 21/01/2019 15:08

I didn't take my DH to my booking in appointment last time and don't plan to this time. I definitely won't be taking DD as I just wouldn't be able to concentrate on answering questions if she was destroying the room!

I am bone achingly tired today - I think it is a combination of acclimatising to my HG medication, the pregnancy and this awful sore throat/cold I have! I'm under pressure at work at the moment with a lot of deadlines and a high workload (and a micro managing boss) so really feeling it!!!

Megan2018 · 21/01/2019 15:09

My DH is pretty much NC with his parents and hasn’t got a clue about their history any more than me. Nightmare!
As suspected have been referred for query hypertension (120/90) and need aspirin from 12 weeks. Flu jab next week, whooping cough vaccine at 20-wks if we get that far.
MW said they aim for 11 week scan, should hear in 2-3 weeks. So just my NIPT to book about 10 weeks.

MyBreadIsEggy · 21/01/2019 16:11

My first ever booking appointment was at my house which was so much easier, and DH was home for lunch anyway.

Second one DH was working, and dd was only 9 months old, so had to take her with me - spent the whole thing eating the MW’s pen light Grin
My booking app thisntime is on a Thursday...the one day a week where I’ve got both DCs at home all day, DH at work and no other childcare options. This should be fun Confused
