September 2019 babies?

abi2790 · 27/12/2018 14:30

Do we have any September due dates yet?

This one came as a big shock for me. I had my coil out on 30th November and must have conceived pretty much straight away. Considering it took quite a long time to get DD, the BFP was a big shock!

This one will be my third!

@abi2790 that's exciting! Of course you can stay here, you can't go make new friends now!

Anyone elses DP/ DH had a freak out yet? It's his first child, and he had a rather large meltdown and sulked for 2 days, which he says is nothing to do with the pregnancy and it's just a coincidence that it's a week after we found out. Very rare for him to do this, and he is very happy about the baby, but we are under rather a lot of stress from other directions at the minute. Still, I could have happily throttled him- not what I needed.

April88 · 20/01/2019 18:35

I just had mine too and dated at 8 weeks so due 1st September. Feel a bit more reassured now!

Easterbuns1 · 20/01/2019 18:50

Great news @abi2790 and @April88

April88 · 20/01/2019 18:54

Congratulations Abi, great news.

Thanks @Easterbuns1

abi2790 · 20/01/2019 19:50

Thank you everyone. Congratulations @april88.

I have the worst cold ever (could be an exaggeration 😉) and my whole body is aching, my head is thumping, my nose is so sore. Is paracetamol the only thing I can take? Not sure how I'm meant to be mum to two this week feeling like this!

abi2790
I have the cold too, literally dying.
I am using paracetamol, steam and non medicated throat sweets.
I think Vicks might be ok but saw conflicting info so have avoided it.

abi2790 · 20/01/2019 21:28

Ugh @megan2018 it's horrible isn't it? I'm just hoping this isn't going to last ages. I'm not getting much sympathy at all at home!

Woken up this morning with the horrendous cold Sad
Feels like I’ve had a bucket of sand poured into my lungs.
DH is heading to work now, and I can’t say I’m looking forward to the preschool run with both kids, and then a morning trying to wrangle DS into submission while I tackle laundry mountain Blush

TwittleBee · 21/01/2019 08:39

oh no cant believe how many of you are ill!

I think I might phone the Drs tomorrow if I am still feeling this rough. Barely made it to work without crashing due to feeling so faint.

porge123 · 21/01/2019 09:19

Hey guys! Oh Noo. Sorry to hear some of you are feeling poorly, I had it when I first found out I was pregnant and it's more or less shifted now apart from the runny nose!Envy
Just a quick question as I have no idea if it's normal..
I dream quite a lot as it is, however since becoming pregnant I have had VERY vivid dreams almost every night, especially in the past 2 weeks! Im not really concerned about the dreams it's just they wake me in the night and seem so real and I wake up really emotional and I feel drained going to work then! Was just wondering if anyone else had experienced anything like this or if it's just a me thing?Hmm

TwittleBee · 21/01/2019 09:23

yeah those are pregnancy dreams for you porge123 ! bloomin annoying sometimes! I dreamt last night that the Queen died. Was so vivid I thought it was real, was so surprised it wasnt still all over the news this morning haha.

CookieBlue · 21/01/2019 09:31

@porge123 I’ve been having intense dreams too! Some of them have been awful Sad.

Has anyone told their work yet? I’m only 4+3 weeks so still so early but I’m wondering if I should tell my manager..

Easterbuns1 · 21/01/2019 09:31

@porge123 I'm the same with the dreams, most of mine are bad ones about my DP they are horrible. I remember the same with my previous pregnancies.

Nausea back with a vengeance this morning, lucky to be able to have a morning on the sofa today!

porge123 · 21/01/2019 09:32

@TwittleBee oh thank god for that! 2 of the strongest ones have been baby related so I'm not surprised it's hormone related! In one I dreamt I was having twins and I remember feeling so much joy and happiness! and in the other I dreamt I gave birth to a baby girl however had to go back to work straight away from the hospital bed and didn't even get to hold her, that one made me feel awful waking up from and so upset...so so strange!

porge123 · 21/01/2019 09:34

@Easterbuns1 haven't had any about DP yet, however I think he is dreading the day they do start lol!
@CookieBlue oh no it's awful ain't it! I keep having a mixture so kind of up and down and the moment!

TwittleBee · 21/01/2019 09:39

CookieBlue best to tell your manager if you feel that your job might put your PG at risk or if your PG will be affecting your work, e.g. morning sickness. I told my work early on and was a relief that they then were able to support me through the MC. But I shall be waiting before telling work this time because I have just been given a rather large project and dont want them to move me off it!

Easterbuns ah small silver lining! Rest up

they are strange arent they porge123 ! I had PG once which involved me birthing loads of rabbits with baby heads and my DH was screaming at me to stop giving birth to so many haha

Megan2018 · 21/01/2019 09:45

@CookieBlue
I told my director last week at 5+2, mainly because if this pg goes wrong she’ll need to know anyway and I wanted to have the time off for appointments. I also wanted to get out of an event this week!
We get on well though and she is aware that I don’t want anyone else to know before 12 weeks. I’ll donan official notification to work if we get that far.
I actually feel better with her knowing, I’m not concentrating well and I’m not my usual self, it’s taken the pressure off trying to perform while feeling rotten.

TwittleBee · 21/01/2019 10:04

MW just called to say she booked me in for an early scan tomorrow afternoon as I said to her I feel like crap

April88 · 21/01/2019 10:04

I keep having crazy dreams too!

I’ve not told my boss, I work from home so don’t really need to. She was really understanding when I had my MC but I want to wait until 12 weeks. We’ve told no-one yet, not even parents and think I’ll wait until the 12 week scan.

BBell2 · 21/01/2019 10:04

Hi Ladies, jumping on to say hello and quite surprised to be doing so. My periods are haywire since DD but I'm about a week late and two positive tests....not sure what even made me take them. If this goes OK I will be ~23rd Sept when my girl will be 3 and a month.

A bit nervous, suffered PND am still on meds and need to keep up running to keep my mood in check. Hoping baby hormones beat the blues a bit.
We are at a holiday village this week with all our family, will have to invent a quick dry January excuse.

TwittleBee · 21/01/2019 10:11

BBell welcome and congrats! Sorry to read about your PND, its horrid isnt it Sad You certainly could use Dry January as an excuse though, say you are starting 2019 with a health kick haha. I added you to our Google Doc

Here is the Google Sheet link again for the newbies: docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1VUDuTLeibUnnaCWCjb-pqUe4Wnq-fTau4HJgmE1XE3c/edit?usp=sharing

Easterbuns1 · 21/01/2019 10:29

@TwittleBee the rabbits did make me laugh! Pregnancy dreams are definitely something else. Good news you are getting a scan too, I'm hoping if I explain I'm worried at my booking appointment that I will get one too but not sure if I will. Last time I had perfect scan at 8 weeks then bad news at 10 and a half so ideally I'd like one at 10 weeks as I know that will be when the anxiety is at its worst.

stroan · 21/01/2019 10:32

The pregnancy dreams are insane, so vivid and lifelike that I wake up convinced that totally normal things have happened and start conversations with DH about them.

I told my boss and the company owner. The owner is a friend and when I accepted the job I was really upfront about the fact we were planning another baby. He didn’t mind so felt it only fair to update him. I have quite a few appointments so my boss needed to know, I only work 3 days a week so it’s a bit awkward when one clinic appointment could wipe out half a day.

I’m seeing the midwife later today so hoping she can review my anti-nausea meds. Still getting absolutely no relief, it’s literally 24/7.

Sorry so many of you have the cold, it’s miserable when you can’t take all the good cold medicine. I had one immediately after my BFP - Sod’s law.

TwittleBee · 21/01/2019 10:32

Easterbuns good chance she might. Does your EPU run a clinic for those with history of MCs? Might be worth a Google? Ours does but you have to be referred to it via a MW.

CookieBlue · 21/01/2019 10:43

Could someone add me onto the google sheet please? I can’t edit it on my phone!

EDD is 27th Sept. This will be DC2. Have no appointments yet and the only symptoms so far have been tiredness and a bit of lower backache.

Thank you Grin
