September 2019 babies?

abi2790 · 27/12/2018 14:30

Do we have any September due dates yet?

This one came as a big shock for me. I had my coil out on 30th November and must have conceived pretty much straight away. Considering it took quite a long time to get DD, the BFP was a big shock!

This one will be my third!

@stroan we have lots of neutral as well from last time but also 3 years of girl stuff clogging up my house! So we are probably going to find out this time as would sell my stuff if not needed and borrow boy stuff from friends.

hodgeheg92 · 16/01/2019 22:00

@stroan You may not have the research to keep you occupied but you have your DD instead! I keep forgetting I'm pregnant, which definitely wasn't the case last time!

@megan2018 I had never even changed a nappy before my DD (and managed not to till she was nearly 24 hours old) but you learn super quickly!

Asda and new look were okay for cheap maternity clothes, there's a site called isabella Oliver for smart, more expensive stuff.

Frillyfarmer · 16/01/2019 22:29

I won't be buying anything until I've got past 20week scab but I'm a bit neurotic like that. I've got most stuff already from DS, don't think I'm going to bother with double buggy as DS can walk and when he was a newborn I slung him everywhere anyway so I'll probs do the same this time round

ASOS maternity work range and H&M over the bump jeans and leggings are my favourite maternity clothes for day to day. I carried my first all up in front, if I do the same thing time I will be big quite early on which I'm not looking forwards to!

abi2790 · 16/01/2019 22:43

I've just home from the hospital after being sent to a&e by the gp this morning. Full investigation has been done to rule out a blood clot which is good news. However I am still feeling really unwell and not sure how I'm going to get through another 7-8 months feeling like this knowing it may very well get worse.

Wow this board has moved quickly! I'm generally a bit rubbish at keeping up at the best of times but DS is sick ATM and I've felt guilty phone scrolling.

Sorry to hear you've been at a&e @abi2790, hope you are feeling better soon.

@frillyfarmer my DS is a total handful ( wonderful but mischievous) currently wondering what I've let myself in for is your DS also a September baby then? We we're the end of August last time.

@porge123 I'm going to do my best not to buy anything til past the 20 week scan. We still have lots from DS although I've just given my nexttome to my brother whose wife is due in April and kicking myself a bit.

@minnielou always worth getting checked if it's worrying you. I had spotting around when period was due in my last pregnancy and all was ok. I think they are most concerned if you have pain along with it.

TwittleBee · 17/01/2019 05:29

Ive bought sensible stuff that I know will get used if we are lucky to have a baby, but if it never happens then I can easily give it away porge123 so things like basic baby grows. Made the mistake with previous MMC of buying a whole summer wardrobe and loads of cute nursery accessories. Summer wear won't be good now and the nursery accessories I've put away or given away as doesn't feel right using them for this baby. So think I'll wait till dating scan at least this time.

Sorry to read you're worrying about the spotting MinnieLou it really could just be implantation bleeding. Hope you clarity on it soon.

I'm with you on the ASOS clearance stroan !

My top tip for clothes is to question if you could easily BF in it before buying it. I wore my maternity clothes post birth for about 2 - months so was handy that a lot of them were easy access to the boob!

Ah thats a good idea MunchyMunchkin ill remember that! The NCT nearly new sales are great if you have any near you? I grabbed a never worn (still had £50 price tag in) Debenhams mat dress for £5 last year.

Yeah I won't be bothering with double buggy either Frillyfarmer as I think ill get a buggy board instead. If DS needs a break he can ride on that. Or I'll have the sling with me for DC#2 and DS can get in the pram.

Oh I'm so sorry to read how much you're going through abi2790 still but glad they'll be investigating it properly now. Honestly, so many women (myself included) find 1st trimester the hardest (then again Ive never made it to full term, as even DS came early, so not sure what that's like haha)

Hope everyone's set to have a good Thursday. Nearly end of the week!

hodgeheg92 · 17/01/2019 06:15

I haven't bought anything yet, way too early for me to feel comfortable doing that. Although the NCT sale is a good idea, thanks for the reminder about those @twittlebee! I have lots of maternity clothes that will still fit from DD.

Will definitely have to get something sorted buggy wise, have an icandy that can convert but it's so heavy and cumbersome as it is. DD will be 20 months so will still need the pram too. I like the idea of carrying the baby to start off with so we don't have to buy a new bassinet (the one we have already won't work as a double you have to buy a smaller version). I like my ergo carrier from DD but it's a bit bulky.

Does anyone have any experience of a close caboo? No sling library near me so that isn't an option.

Hangingtrousers · 17/01/2019 06:33

@hodgeheg92 dd2 lived in the close caboo
It was a life saver with a 2 year old and new born. Baby 3 will also spend most of his or her time in the sling.

Ladies can I ask a question please? When did you find out you are PG? I am surprisingly pregnant with dc3 (gulp) but I’m on the pill and often take it back to back. The last period I have written down in 8th October. Possibly had one in November (would of been the 5th) but I can’t remember it and I don’t have anything marked down (my Fitbit tracks it) deffo no period in December, took a rest last week and got a positive. Any clues anyone? The hospital is taking ages to get my booking appointment in and I’m thinking I should have has scans by now if there’s a September baby thread already

ButtonTum · 17/01/2019 06:49

@user1466690252 You May have a July baby potentially?? I only found out a week ago and am sure about when I ovulate as was tracking. Can you try a clearblue digi test which will tell you at least whether you conceived in the last month or longer ago potentially?

ButtonTum · 17/01/2019 06:50

Am 5+2 today and wondering if I should have a line that matches control line by now? Line was barely there when I got my BFP a week ago but would expect to see more than this now? Has anyone else carried on testing?

user1466690252 · 17/01/2019 06:53

July! 🙈 it’s so much to get my head around! So I’m deffo out the September camp then? Both my other children were planned for took months and months to conceive so this not knowing is strange. What’s the cut off with a clear blue test? I thought it was 4 weeks so will just say 4 weeks + I’d ita more than that?

Frillyfarmer · 17/01/2019 06:53

Woke up this morning to heavy clotting and bleeding with really bad back ache. I'm so upset, work is going to be a real battle today.

user1466690252 · 17/01/2019 06:57

Oh filly 💔

Megan2018 · 17/01/2019 07:05

@Frillyfarmer
No! Oh gosh, so sorry-can you not shake work off today? I’d not want to be at work. Hope it stops and turns out to be ok.

GemmaJen · 17/01/2019 07:08

@Frillyfarmer I agree with Megan, do you have to go to work today? I think this would justify a sick day even if you can't tell them exactly why. Hope it stops soon, do you have a contact for the midwife?

Megan2018 · 17/01/2019 07:08

@ButtonTum
I tested on CD29 (Sun 6th) and a week later, first with FRER, second with a cheap Boots test. Boots line was darker. Am testing again on Sunday.

GemmaJen · 17/01/2019 07:12

@ButtonTum the cheap strips aren't the best. I'm 5w now and getting very strong lines, but not on the ic strips, but on normal test sticks. Have you been taking a lot of tests? Or just this one? If the hcg level is too high apparently there's something called a hook effect that means they don't come up strongly positive?

TwittleBee · 17/01/2019 07:17

Oh no Frillyfarmer I am so sorry. Certainly call in sick and see if you can get checked out.

I agree about those cheap strips being shit ButtonTum ! With previous pregnancy I didn't get a decent line till around 6w!

user1466690252 Chase them up about the scan and explain your situation to them over the phone? They might refer you quicker. Do you have a MW number you can call?

ButtonTum · 17/01/2019 07:21

@user1466690252 not necessarily July but possibly! If your last period was October that is. I was thinking if clearblue tells you anything less than the 3-4 weeks then you know it's this month. Otherwise it could be anytime. Get a midwife appointment stat or book an early scan! Smile

ButtonTum · 17/01/2019 07:21

Oh @Frillyfarmer I'm so sorry xx

ButtonTum · 17/01/2019 07:22

@Frillyfarmer and please don't go to work. X

user1466690252 · 17/01/2019 07:23

The midwives havnt rung me back. I’ll try again today. Thank you x

ButtonTum · 17/01/2019 07:24

@GemmaJen and @Megan2018 thanks. I did a clearblue Frer and IC last Friday and this is my first test since. The IC last week is attached - barely there - and this week I just thought it would be much stronger than it is. I guess it is still a stronger positive. I'm only letting myself test once a week! (She says..)
