September 2019 babies?

abi2790 · 27/12/2018 14:30

Do we have any September due dates yet?

This one came as a big shock for me. I had my coil out on 30th November and must have conceived pretty much straight away. Considering it took quite a long time to get DD, the BFP was a big shock!

This one will be my third!

I swapped to decaf tea last time and it was vile so I'm not bothering this time!

Koalaby · 15/01/2019 12:41

TwittleBee Very glad to hear things are looking more positive for you!

KnobJockey High five for the 19th club! It was Christmas day action that did it for us!

stroan · 15/01/2019 13:05

I drink most caffeine at work and had massively cut back over Christmas (unintentionally) so luckily the withdrawal hasn’t been too bad. I might have one coffee a day, but not every day. I’m fairly relaxed about it though.

I’m also going to wait to join the FB group. I love my last one but really need to be on social media less!

Hangingtrousers · 15/01/2019 13:23

NHS guidelines say 2 cups of instant coffee or one cup of filter coffee a day is fine.
I had 3 cups yesterday.... Evening it out with just one today.

Megan2018 · 15/01/2019 13:24

I've had about 250ml of Lucozade - feel amazing now! So much better.
It might not be the healthiest thing to drink but if it gets me through the work day then it'll have to be ok. I couldn't stand the jitters!

I've never liked coffee - I can drink the occasional black tea but don't "like" it so giving those up is easy for me. I mainly drink water or very dilute squash, can easily drink 2 litres just at work!

boodles101 · 15/01/2019 13:55

I've put my EDD at the 19th but it's probably more likely the 17th as I have a 25/26 day cycle meaning I ovulated on Xmas day.
I had a moan at DH cos he didn't get me the one Xmas present that I actually asked for - a travel coffee mug for work to try and save money on buying from coffee shops. Turns out I don't need one now as off the coffee anyway!

abi2790 · 15/01/2019 14:20

Coffee has been easy for me as I've suddenly developed an aversion to the taste and smell. I'm still drinking the odd cup of tea though.

My energy levels are really low and that isn't helping the nausea. Do we have any veggies in the group?

Fx I will be able to join the fb group after my scan on Sunday!

@TwittleBee glad to hear it's going well. I stopped temping a few days ago, it was causing me too much worry, I've even turned of my Fitbit heart rate monitor. I'm an over thinker, so even one dropped temp or hr and I'm panicking. In reality because we're all individual it doesn't mean too much. It sounds like things are on track for you now x

I've got my midwife booking in appointment booked now, set for next Wednesday, will be 6w. Same midwife as last time, so hopefully won't take too long and she already knows about my aversion to needles. DH wants the first scan to be at 6w3d, I'm a little on the fence about it as I'm scared we wont see enough or there won't be anything there. But we did have a strong bfp at 8dpo so I'm not worried so much about not being far along enough, just that it's not viable. I can't wait to be at 12w, just so I can breathe again!

abi2790 · 15/01/2019 14:58

With my previous pregnancies I've had a very fast heart rate (so much so I was admitted into hospital with my first 😫) but this has always been much later. I'm noticing already that I'm getting palpitations and have just checked my heart rate and it's around 110bpm. Is anybody else getting the same issue? Is it something I should be worried about?

@twittlebee Really glad it's looking better for you! I didn't like coffee until I had my DD and then I drank it every day! I've swapped my coffee for the nescafe azerra decaf one which tastes different but okay, and I haven't found the withdrawal too bad. I'm sticking with normal tea for a few cups a day but having Yorkshire decaf if I have anymore. I'm permanently tired anyway!

Thank you ladies for saying you've booked your midwife appointment - I've managed to self refer and get a Tuesday appointment so I don't have to tell school yet. It's next week, eek! Told DH and he was surprised, said he's forgotten how it works already!

TwittleBee · 15/01/2019 16:41

Yeah I've tried that one, couldn't get on with the taste hodgeheg92 I've moved to the douwe egberts which I think is maybe a bit better but not much. I'm used to drinking ground coffee though rather than instant so think that's why I'm struggling so much. I've been awful today and had 3 coffees, 2 of which were from ground coffee too.

Certainly talk to your GP asap abi2790 . I haven't much to offer but to try to relax (hard I know!!!).

GenialGiraffe · 15/01/2019 16:42

Hi everyone, can I join? I just got a BFP 2 days ago after having a missed miscarriage and ERPC at 12 weeks back in September with my first pregnancy. I'm cautiously optimistic and if all goes well I will be due around the 22nd September.

Hangingtrousers · 15/01/2019 16:52

GenialGiraffe welcome xx

KLane · 15/01/2019 17:45

Did anyone read "Expecting Better" in a previous pregnancy? I loved it and it completely put my mind to rest over things like caffeine and other issues down the line (and even the odd glass of wine). Though I've forgotten most of it now so think I'll have a re-read and calm my nerves again! Decaf with a toddler does not cut it.

ButtonTum · 15/01/2019 19:20

@KLane yes I read it! I also found it really useful. It's so refreshing to have a balanced scientific approach to so many of the wives tales / misconceptions around pregnancy.

KLane · 15/01/2019 19:38

@ButtonTum Yes so refreshing! I couldn't believe how much weight is put onto "evidence" with only a dozen participants. I still find it frustrating that there's such little information from the NHS to make informed decisions instead of being firmly told this is bad/good.

TwittleBee · 15/01/2019 19:50

Welcome! GenialGiraffe ! I think you might the 4th person now to what a due date with me! Guessing a few of us got busy around NYE then ey? Sorry to read you've had a MMC too. FX and lots of sticky baby glue to you

KLane I didn't read that book but we were told similar things during our antenatal classes.

MinnieLou · 15/01/2019 20:46

Hi 👋🏻
I’m new to MN
Long story short:
Been having regular periods for the past year or so, implant came out in October not necessarily trying but if it happens it happens.
I’m 23 and been with my partner for 9 years.
Noticed I was 3 days late on Sunday and since then have done 6 tests including digital one which are all positive.
However since Sunday after the first test I’ve been having light cramps (I usually have them really bad when on my period) and have had brown spotting & now red spotting (wearing a liner to not ruin knickers) but nothing like my usual period.

I’m feeling really confused & emotional.. I cried when I found out (I’m a very anxious person and worry/overthink about everything)

I also have PCOS and am on metformin for this.

My EDD would be 21st September.

Congratulations to all! Xx

porge123 · 15/01/2019 21:06

So interesting reading everyone's process (if that's the word to use) you've all been through! My birthday is actually on the 21st and due on the 22nd so it will be exciting when he/she does actually arrive! I know it's still so early but just hoping for the best! No symptoms as of yet though and only took a cheapy dipstick on a one off and seen a faint line!! So took 2 x CB, and 2x CB digital! first cycle trying for a baby too so super shocked it happened first time!

hodgeheg92 · 15/01/2019 21:14

Hi @minnieLou Congratulations! Try not to worry, it could be implantation bleeding or I know other women have said they've had light spotting in pregnancy before.

Congratulations to @porge123 too!

@KLane I haven't heard of that book but it sounds really good! I'm not dropping everything, had a pint when DH and I managed to leave the baby with Mil on Saturday Wink

MunchyMunchkin · 15/01/2019 21:55

Glad to have found the sept gang.

5+2 (ish as I ovulated late) with #2 after TTC for 10 long months. EDD 15/9/19.

Really hoping this one sticks as it works out perfectly with my leave year to maximise my maternity.

Currently getting awful reflux for which I’ve already started ranitidine.

Will friend request Layla to join the fbook group.

Megan2018 · 15/01/2019 22:05

@MunchyMunchkin
Snap! 5+2 due 15/09 here

GemmaJen · 16/01/2019 04:30

Why is everything so anxiety inducing? I exercised yesterday, just a 20min session with squats and similar and have since had brown spotting. I know it can be completely normal and I keep telling myself that, but I'm still panicking. 😣 Not booking in with the midwife till next week, so not sure what I should do, if anything. 5w today, hoping this is nothing and I'm just being irrational.

TwittleBee · 16/01/2019 06:21

It's actually not as bad as you might fear GemmaJen . Brown blood is old blood so I reckon your exercise dislodged some implantation blood.

TwittleBee · 16/01/2019 06:45

My temp is up this morning! And a Clear Blue digi said 2-3 so putting me at 4-5 weeks, bang on where I think I should be (4+3 weeks) so bloomin relieved!
