September 2019 babies?

abi2790 · 27/12/2018 14:30

Do we have any September due dates yet?

This one came as a big shock for me. I had my coil out on 30th November and must have conceived pretty much straight away. Considering it took quite a long time to get DD, the BFP was a big shock!

This one will be my third!

What a good idea! I've requested to join!

jazzyjellybeans · 14/01/2019 19:29

@LPMD I've emailed you but I've managed to request to be added via the link

LPMD · 14/01/2019 19:32

Ok, so it all went a bit Pete Tong in the first group, but I've created another SECRET group for us to join. You would need to friend me on Facebook to join however. Please could you DM me to let me know you've friended me so I know you're from this group please? My FB profile is: www.facebook.com/Leyla.H.Preston

Thanks so much, sorry about all the palaver! Will add ASAP! xx

LPMD · 14/01/2019 19:33

@jazzyjellybeans, can you pls leave the old group and friend me so I can add you to the new group? Thanks! Will get there in the end!

Megan2018 · 14/01/2019 19:39

I’d like to join the group but not quite yet, don’t want to jinx anything! But it is a great idea

jazzyjellybeans · 14/01/2019 19:39

I'm in. Thanks @LPMD

LPMD · 14/01/2019 19:47

@jazzyjellybeans. Great! :-) xx

LPMD · 14/01/2019 19:49

@Megan2018 No worries. just let me know when you're ready :-) Good luck everyone! Hope I'm not jinxing it too??

TwittleBee · 14/01/2019 19:58

Oh so want to make it into a FB bus!

Tefiti2 · 14/01/2019 20:14

That’s a great idea @LPMD, shall add you and send you a PM :-) how is everyone? I’m 7+1 today and have another scan on Friday, excited and terrified in equal measure! Exhaustion and food aversion to anything that’s not a ready salted crisp or plain toast has set in!

boodles101 · 14/01/2019 20:23

@LPMD I've added you and PM you too!

KLane · 14/01/2019 20:30

Hi everyone, can I join? I'm 4+5 (edd 18/9) with DC2. DS is 19 months and I'm a SAHM so I'm mainly in a panic about taking care of a newborn and a toddler all day!

My May 2017 group moved to Facebook and it's still very active with over 70 members, so I'd love to join the Sept 19 group once we have an early private scan in a few weeks. Currently just bloated with sore boobs, same as last time. Fingers crossed for a sticky bean!

LPMD · 14/01/2019 20:40

@KLane, of course. Just add me on FB here:www.facebook.com/Leyla.H.Preston and I'll add you to the super secret group ;-)

hodgeheg92 · 14/01/2019 20:57

Thanks @LPMD I'll leave it till after our scan (we'll have an early one) but a Facebook group is a wonderful idea (and one of the reasons I'm here cos I love my previous one)

LPMD · 14/01/2019 21:43

@hodgeheg92, I totally understand. Good luck! xx

LPMD · 14/01/2019 22:11

Aww we have 7 members in our FB group now :-)

LPMD · 14/01/2019 22:12

@KLane, I had a 15 month old when my 2nd baby was born. It's a huge learning curve but you get used to it so quickly because you need to survive lol! You'll love it :-) xx

iano · 14/01/2019 22:17

Thanks for setting up a FB group @LPMD. I look forward to joining you guys after our 12 week scan

KnobJockey · 14/01/2019 22:51

Hi @LPMD, congratulations! But can I please just ask- I see you've linked your personal businesses in your post above (which I don't think is normally allowed on Mumsnet), the group you've set up is purely for the purpose of chat between us isn't it, and you won't be using it as research or to try and sell/promote your products to us? I'm sorry if that sounds cynical of me and I hope I haven't offended you with that question, but I've been misled into a group for other purposes before, so I wanted to double check before joining a group on something so personal.

KnobJockey · 14/01/2019 22:58

I'm feeling very behind everyone here with all this talk of scans! I have moved in the last year and not changed GPs. My GP won't let me at with them as I now live in a different trust, so my old address is still registered. So now I need to change and see how I go about referring! I'm 4+4, when did everyone else do it?

On another note, DP has just got a wedding invite for 21/09, our EDD is 19/09. He's really struggling with how to respond, as it's an old friend and he would love to go (and for me to come, but he's aware that's not happening!). He doesn't want to tell them before family, but it was a text invite that needs a response. Any ideas?

Hangingtrousers · 15/01/2019 01:19

@KnobJockey Google the maternity services near you and you can self refer. I plan to do that. I'm 4weeks so still super early also.

Wedding .. is it local? I would confirm you can go then play by ear. They will understand if you can't go on the day as you are in labour or if you have a new born by then DP could pop along. If you are still pregnant a wedding would be a good distraction. If it's a distance away then I'm not so sure...

hodgeheg92 · 15/01/2019 05:42

@knobjockey I haven't referred myself to the midwife yet or informed the GP surgery, it's on my list but I keep remembering at times when I know the phone line will be busy! I'm 4+5 today. So you're not the only one behind don't worry. As for the wedding, do they need to know right now? Could he maybe fob them off with an excuse about waiting to see what's happening with a potential holiday/family event? If it's via text then he might feel okay telling a little lie for now.

I'll have a 20 month old and a newborn, glad to hear you adapt and people here have coped before! I'm sure I'll be asking for lots of advice around that!

Megan2018 · 15/01/2019 06:40

@knobjockey
I couldn’t self refer. In my area you have to see your GP first, I rang them day after I tested and saw them a week later at 5+1

Hangingtrousers · 15/01/2019 06:52

@megan2018 that's annoying.
I'm going to get my self referral form off today then it's done.

happydays00 · 15/01/2019 07:20

knobjockey don't worry, I'm 6 weeks today and still haven't arranged my booking in appointment with the midwife - it's on my list for today.

Re the wedding invite - I would reply a "yes" definitely, there is nothing (unless booking flights) where they would need to commit to final numbers at this stage. I definitely wouldn't feel happy telling anyone I was pregnant so early, but again that's a very personal opinion.
