June 2019 babies - part 5!!!!

2nd trimester for all the lovely June mummies out there! Yippee!!!

@Reastie sounds very familiar to how last week went for me, I really hope 14 weeks will signal a turning point and you start to feel much better! Do not be worrying about weight gain at all if grazing makes you feel better! Plus with any luck a bit of extra food will also give you a bit of extra energy. Very impressed at the over 100lbs weight loss btw! I'm still feeling ok, haven't been sick since Friday (which was a horrendous day) so just dealing with a bit of nausea now, which still wakes me up but I can deal with that. Fingers and toes crossed you get to enjoy at least some of tomorrow. As I said next year will be a different story, I'm already planning next Christmas to make up for this one!

@Kescilly, a little girl!! Lovely ☺️☺️ We won't find out until Feb 7th but everyone thinks boy, I think it will all seem more real when we know.

Kescilly how lovely- little girls are ace!!! Do won't let me find out😔. I'm so impatient 🙈 but its my 3rd and his 1st so I'll let him have it his way this time lol.

@WeeBean it’s strange how this little piece of information has made it so much more real. Are you finding out at your 20 week scan? We are hoping they will confirm it’s a girl for us!

@Littleray84 thank you! My husband initially didn’t want to find out but was willing to for me. By the time we scheduled the scan, he was really excited about it. I can see the excitement in waiting too though!

@Kescilly yeah we'll find out at the 20 week scan, I can't wait! I bet it's so exciting looking at all the lovely girls clothes now and thinking about your wee one in them, and all the cute mum and daughter things you'll be able to do ☺️

I’m drinking some pretty tasty gin free gin and tonic from m and s. Have a Camembert in the oven and a lot of cheese to much my way through. Merry Christmas ladies

I've wrapped up a balloon box with a 'it's a boy' balloon inside for my parents. Cheesy I know but who cares!

Can anyone else feel their own pulse in their stomach? Its really noticeable when I’m led or sat down and I’m not even touching my stomach. To find my pulse before I’d have to put two fingers to my wrist or neck. I’m guessing it’s from the extra blood and things being squished in there?!

It's 5am but we just opened the box and...it's a girl!! So much for the nub experts AND my 'mother's intuition'! 😂 totally thrown, thrilled but not fully believing it!!

Thank you @Kescilly ☺️ and that's so exciting!! Although I am now questioning the accuracy of the gender scan at 17 weeks (vs the nub techs at 12 weeks haha)! Counting down to the nhs one now 😂 waiting for my mum to come downstairs and see the new tree decoration - she's going to be overjoyed!

She’s going to love that! We are at my in-laws and my MIL wanted to know but my FIL wants to wait to find out. We will see how long that will last! 😂

Did the private place give you any sort of reassurance? Ours said to let them know if the NHS scan disagrees but she is pretty confident at 17 weeks. When is your scan?

Haha I'd struggle not to say anything! She just came down and is mega excited, I'm just hoping it it right! They seemed very confident but we didn't actually ask how sure she was, she just got us to close our eyes whilst she checked then asked what we wanted her to do ☺️ ours isn't until 21 weeks annoyingly so 17 Jan. How about you??

Oh that is annoying, but I suppose it’s still not too long to wait. Mine is January 10th and I’m a bit anxious to find out if everything is okay with the baby.

I wouldn’t worry too much about them getting it wrong. They probably have a lot of experience and if nothing else, it will be a good story for you one day!

@Kescilly I know but it's a weird thing where I'm trying not to get too overexcited 😂 I think I'm just going to have to let myself believe it for now at least!! I reckon you should just say 'she' today and let them work it out for themselves haha x

I just asked a question on the pregnancy board and really wished I hadn't I was asking about the cringeyness of doing a Christmas facebook announcement and people are saying not to because it's insensitive for ladies who are having fertility struggles. I've had my own losses and this ray of good fortune doesn't affect anyone else's journey harrumph
But ... shall I post a photo and my husband me and the scan pic by the tree?!

@Siannybobs I think just do it. I wasn't going to this time, partly because our situation is unconventional and I cba with people's questions, but it seems everyone knows anyway (bloody gossips) so...last night we posted a photo of me, my partner and little boy in matching pjs, holding the scan pic. Cheesy but I don't care. I was open about the mc I had in August so people are so excited for us.

@coastergirl that's what I don't want - gossips! I have friends telling friends already so I just want to be in charge of my own news

@stellarfox 85%! But it was 11+6 which is technically less than the 12 weeks so we did the 'early' test which had lower accuracy (but I wasn't convinced one day would make much difference) ☺️

@Torsz mine was 85% girl - I will not rely upon it at all then!
