Joined so I can keep up with everyone 😊

Done lots more tests just to make sure and they've got darker and darker 😂 couldn't help myself! So I'm at ease for now!
Hopefully it isn't just me and other people have done this!

4+4 and got my first appt with my Midwife booked! 😁 feeling a little excited probably too soon!

Notanotherpawpatrol · 17/12/2018 17:21

Those of you dealing with bad nauseous feeling (no actual sick) that's also classed as severe morning sickness, especially if it's stopping you doing things. Go and see your Dr, there is medication that can help. I didn't with my 4th and it was horrific 😳 I wont hesitate this time though!

EverythingNow · 17/12/2018 17:23

@Noopey I threw up in the kitchen sink this morning - my poor kids were horrified.

@Kmic my mw appointment is 2nd Jan when I will be 9w2d but the GP already has sent off for scan appointment.

EverythingNow · 17/12/2018 17:26

@Xlauraa I took one last night (I'm 7weeks today!) Because id been cramping all day. It was thankfully still darker than the control line. But I'm so nervous!

Fae1989 · 17/12/2018 17:35

@Notanotherpawpatrol - what kind of stuff do they give you? I’m scared the nausea isn’t bad enough for them to prescribe anything but it’s there all day every day now and it’s doing my head in :(

xLauraa · 17/12/2018 17:42

@EverythingNow thank god it's not just me then🙈
Just got to relax haven't we! I was with my friend today who's got a 6month old and she said she had cramps throughout the whole first trimester and not to get worried! easier said than done but I'm sure we will be fine 😊

avacadooo · 17/12/2018 17:46

@Notanotherpawpatrol really?! Everyone thinks I'm just been dramatic but today I honestly couldn't even think of having food or even water, what do they do? I'm worried the gp will just think it's normal but I could cry.

TDLO · 17/12/2018 17:47

Hi,
I’m due 14th August, I joined on the other thread so thought I’d say hi in here Smile. I’m so nervous and my partner, he’s a bundle of anxiety that I just never expected.

I’m so excited though, first pregnancy and just keeping everything crossed.
Nice to read everyone’s stories, they keep me going Smile

canonlyhopexo · 17/12/2018 18:42

Welcome and congrats to all the newbies! 👶🏼🍼

I'm still being sick, horrifically. Even coming out my nose and making right inside my ears burn you know like how your throat does when you're sick a lot. It's very watery but luminous yellow/green. Excellent!! Don't know how many weeks of this I'll be able to do. I'm only 5+6 so hopefully it wears off soon.

KMic · 17/12/2018 18:54

Evening ladies!! Happy update from me! I am now heading home - early - from my Christmas celebration with work! It's an afternoon event. Managed to get by the dinner with wine on the table and pouring an inch in to a glass and toppling the whole thing up with lemonade.. tasted disgusting but at least everyone assumed I was drinking! Then we went on for cocktails... so I discreetly told the bar man I needed mine to be non-alcoholic but would be ordering alcoholic ones and he caught my drift and just made mine up 'virgin style' without anyone having a clue!!! They were all rather surprised at my early exit - I'm usually last one standing!! But I made out I have a lot of celebrations to get to this week and didn't want to ruin myself on the first one! Considering a couple of people have text me saying how disappointed they are I think u have got away with it!!! Yay!!!

Hope you are all doing well today!

Fae1989 · 17/12/2018 19:14

@TDLO - hello & welcome again. Me and my partner are exactly the same, I think it’s totally normal to be anxious and nervous-it’s very unchartered territory!

@canonlyhope - bless you that sounds really tough. I’d speak to your GP if it carries on, sounds like they can give you medications to help. Sending hugs!

@KMic - nicely done!

TDLO · 17/12/2018 19:17

@Fae1989 thank you and hi! Yes it’s all so new and I just expected that I’d be over the moon, I didn’t expect the anxiety. Good to know I’m not alone though and that it’s normal. Smile

canonlyhopexo · 17/12/2018 19:17

@Fae1989 @TDLO also very anxious here as is first pregnancy!

Hoping that I will get something if it does continue as it's so miserable. I told the midwife Thursday how horrific I was feeling and she didn't really bat an eyelid.

For anyone who's feeling nauseous and/or sick, I just had a plain jacket potato with a bit of mashed in butter and salt, I semi-enjoyed it and was really easy to eat so maybe give that a try if you're struggling food wise

Notanotherpawpatrol · 17/12/2018 19:19

@avadooo honestly severe morning sickness doesn't have to involve actual throwing up. If you're not eating and drinking that's a problem. It's a huge red flag and needs addressing, before you end up loosing weight and/or becoming dehydrated.
Go see the Dr and they should prescribe you some safe antisickness medication. Make sure you tell them exactly how bad it is though. As women we have a tendency to play things down and brush it under the carpet.

TDLO · 17/12/2018 19:21

@canonlyhopexo I know how you feel. Every little twinge and pinch I’m panicking. But hoping it wears off as we get used to things. It’s my partner who has surprised me more, he’s really level headed normally but he’s just a ball of anxiety, worried sick and every time I go to the toilet he’s in a panic!! Shock

Blii · 17/12/2018 19:23

Sorry to hear lots of you are feeling very sick. Sad
@Fae1989 they will start by giving you cyclazine (spelling?) but if it doesn’t work they move you onto stronger things. It never seemed to work with me but it had an instant relief when it was injected via IV. It was the best thing ever!
@canonlyhopexo oh poor you, I remember the luminous sick. Is it stomach bile? I feel for you.
I’m still awaiting the sickness. I feel a tiny bit nauseous on and off throughout the day but nothing too bad, it’s not stopping me doing anything. It’s making me panic though that things arnt progressing as they should.
I keep gagging at random things though that wouldn’t usually bother me, and then I think it’s all in my head!
Feel weird saying it but fingers crossed my sickness starts soon Confused

canonlyhopexo · 17/12/2018 19:24

@TDLO how many weeks are you? Touch wood my cramping has really eased up now and the sickness has taken over instead which is taking my mind off any other symptoms! Bless your other half. Mine is very matter of fact about things usually but I think he is worrying a bit more than he's letting on.

Fae1989 · 17/12/2018 19:24

@TDLO - right with you on that one (and this group is so lovely that you’re never alone on anything!) I think once we get used to it the anxiety will probably fade a bit. It’s just weird when you think you’re going to be so excited and you just end up a bit lost and scared isn’t it?!

@canonlyhope - that was nice of her! Pfft. There’s always the gp as well, worth a try. I read that morning sickness is more common is first pregnancies and also my gp said that it’s a good thing (rising hormones etc) which isn’t a consolation when you’re feeling like crap but at least you know things are progressing like they should. That’s a good shout with the plain foods. I recommend hula hoops, plain but seem to take away the nausea a bit!

Fae1989 · 17/12/2018 19:27

@bili - thank you lovely. I don’t feel like mine is bad enough but I do want to just go to sleep without feeling sick all the time. Totally relate to the gagging thing - I had that a few days ago when the sickness was on and off and today it’s just hit me all day! Try not to fret (not that I’d wish anyone to be sick!!) but it sounds like you’re not far behind symptom-wise. How far along are you?

EverythingNow · 17/12/2018 19:27

My cramping has got worse but dh looked up the side effects of my extra strength folic acid (due to high bmi Blush) is cramping and upset stomach. I hope it's that!

Noopey · 17/12/2018 19:35

@Everythingnow I’m so sorry but that made me laugh out loud. You poor thing.

Im just hoping to get through to the weekend without being sick. We’re telling both sides of the family then and I don’t want any tell tell signs slipping out before then.

Blii · 17/12/2018 19:44

@Fae1989 thank you, based on my last period my due date would be 15th august. I’m 5+4. Hopfully not far behind.
The cyclazine has to build up in your system so if the sickness does get worse then request it as soon as you can. One of the side effects is that it can send you to sleep though! So at least you’d be able to sleep without feeling sick Grin

Fae1989 · 17/12/2018 19:48

@bili - I don’t think mine kicked in til 6 weeks so I bet yours isn’t far behind! Enjoy the days before ha)
Ha! I’ve also read that a few lucky women have normal pregnancies and no sickness!

Sleep without feeling sick?! Sounds like heaven ☺️

avacadooo · 17/12/2018 19:51

@Notanotherpawpatrol just weighed myself and I've dropped a kilo in under a week, greatest diet ever 😂😫
I'm seeing my doctor on Wednesday so hopefully she does something for me cause my booking appointment isn't until the 9th jan and I can't wait that long for help.

@canonlyhopexo oh god that's horrible! Your midwife sounds horrible x

avacadooo · 17/12/2018 19:52

@Fae1989 my sister in law is pregnant and she said she's not been sick or anything at all, I'm so jealous.
