Very envious of these naps a lot of you mention! 🤣

Chocolate89 · 16/12/2018 19:43

Hello shiny new thread! God I am sooo tired! I have an interview on tues and a scan on wed, which one do you think I am focusing on?? 🙈🙈

Shahlalala · 16/12/2018 19:46

It’s very rare to get a nap Blii
The plan was my 4 year old napped too (she has been a bit under the weather), but there was no getting back up for me! Luckily DH took pity (and also wanted to do some secret shopping and wrapping with DD....)

Shahlalala · 16/12/2018 19:47

Missed the point of my message, DD changed her mind about the nap.

Dolleymix · 16/12/2018 20:05

Hi all I'd like to join you if I may?
Think I'm due around 11th Aug so around 6 weeks and nausea has hit hard the last couple of days🤢. My DS turned 10 this week so I feel like I'm starting at the beginning again!!!

Ninunina · 16/12/2018 20:36

My plan today was to have an easy lunch at my parent's house and then veg on the sofa and have a nap. My kids thought it was great fun to see me with my feet up so they both climbed on top of me and stayed there. Not exactly what I planned, but at least I did sit down with my feet up.

I had my first full on vom session tonight. It seems to be getting a little worse every day.

Elito · 16/12/2018 20:40

Joining the new thread! I'm 5 weeks and haven't got any nausea, yet thank God. I had a family gathering at my house yesterday and felt so tired today, slept most of the afternoon Grin

clairelee17 · 16/12/2018 20:47

Hi all. Thank you for starting the new thread @whoopsies. I'm currently 6+4. I don't feel overly nauseous but I'm getting quite bad heartburn, especially when I lie down, and then when I keep swallowing, it tastes sickly....very strange! Also belch and fart an awful lot!!

I got terrible aches in my lower abdomen yesterday which spasmed in my lower back too. Strangely felt like the pain you get in your back when you have a kidney infection. The pain in my tummy and back really took my breath away at times. Was quite worried after having a recent miscarriage, but had no spotting or anything. Putting it down to the simple fact that everything is stretching....hopefully those pains were a good sign. The tiredness is unbearable - had two two-hour naps this weekend. Thank god it's the last week at work before Christmas so I can sleep and rest!

UnicornDust17 · 16/12/2018 21:23

@ScotsBaby2 wow that is some list...(On the old tread)..! Thanks for the new thread @Whoopsies

Congrats to everyone with new BFPs. I've really not caught up with the old thread but hello Smile

Thanks for the wishes @Chocolate89 @Nununina @ScotsBaby2 @BEll2008 @newmumma2019 @dragonmummy17 Scan went well.

There's a gestation sack, a yolk sack and a baby with a heartbeat - still. Phew... I cried.

I have an EPU scan booked for 12 days time and my booking in appointment is the next day...

@Kmic @QueenofFox I am the same with coffee but have had to cut right back.

There's a good list here, caffeine is right at the bottom:
www.nhs.uk/conditions/pregnancy-and-baby/foods-to-avoid-pregnant/ One can of cola it says is 40mg Smile

@7yearslater yes I have had spotting Sad but after scan on Saturday I feel a bit more reassured as sonographer said couldn't see any blood coming from the baby.

@Nununina how are you doing? I need to ask my Dr to prescribe me progesterone too

85 people!!!

dragonmummy17 · 16/12/2018 22:44

@UnicornDust17 that's lovely news!

85 people... wow! And we aren't to the end of August due dates yet!

Triskaidekaphilia · 16/12/2018 22:45

Wow lots of us on this one then! I'll feel a fraud being on the Aug thread if baby really does come on the 30th July Grin

I've not really been keeping up with the thread but hope you're all doing ok. Can't wait for scan on Thursday, it still doesn't feel real despite all my symptoms, but once we see the little bean and hear the hb I think it will!

stylix1981 · 16/12/2018 23:32

@ScotsBaby2 according to the midwife i am due on 9th aug but she said it may change slightly at my 12wk scan.

I havent really had many symptoms apart from growing boobs that are very tender so had to go out and buy 2 new bras, feel much more comfy now lol. But last couple of days i have started to feel a little nauseous.

Also got quite a bit of stress at the moment as im facing a panel meeting at work due to my attendance so trying to stay as calm as possible lmao.

Congrats to all the new people and hope those that have worrying symptims stay strong and positive xx

ss3ajb · 17/12/2018 05:20

Hello thread wanted to join if ok 🤗 new to mumsnet - according to online calculator due 16th August - am very early around 3-4 weeks . Was not planned so been in a slight state of shock all weekend although getting used to the idea now, trying not to get too excited as not far in - then worrying about that - been a bit of a rollacoster weekend - have been very tearful then happy then tearful, have ongoing cramping and very sore boobs and can't sleep. OH shocked too although happy - congratulations everyone ☺️

Ninunina · 17/12/2018 05:27

Glad to hear all is well @UnicornDust17. Did you get any explanation of where the bleeding could be coming from? Sounds like we are in a similar boat. I didn't have any spotting yesterday, I'm hoping everything that needed to come out is out. I'm taking the progesterone x3 daily & have also been prescribed some thyroid medication. The pack say "helps prevent neural tube defects in early pregnancy". I'm not 100% sure why he prescribed it. Maybe because I wasn't taking folic acid before I got pregnant. I am consultant lead so I guess he knows what he's doing.

Ninunina · 17/12/2018 05:35

Welcome @ss3ajb! Is this your first pregnancy? There are a few surprise pregnancies on here. Mine was a big surprise. DH still in deep shock. This will be my third child if all goes well.

ss3ajb · 17/12/2018 05:54

Hi @ninunina yes it is, we have been together 15 years and talked about it but we're never completely sure whether we were going to try - I guess fate decided for us and am happy just very shocked and very overwhelmed - am crying over everything it all feels very strange - i'm surprised how different my body feels as am still so early - lovely to meet you and congratulations!

Notanotherpawpatrol · 17/12/2018 06:42

Niniuna if shouldn't be because you weren't taking folic acid. Many people don't, unless they're actively trying 🤔 unless there's a pee existing condition he's trying to combat 🤷‍♀️

ScotsBaby2 · 17/12/2018 06:49

@Triskaidekaphilia there will be more than just you in July. Don't worry. Same for the other way. Loads will be September babies.

orangefolly · 17/12/2018 07:24

Hi all, tentatively joining! I am 6+4 today, due on 8 Aug. I'm pregnant following IVF. I'm really nervous since I had a MMC at 9 weeks last time I got pregnant. Scan on Wednesday, can't think about anything else until that is done!!

I've been feeling a bit nauseous and tired, but not too bad - it comes and goes.

mightypinkdms · 17/12/2018 07:55

Feeling really poorly and guilty today 😔 have had a headache all night and paracetamol won’t touch it, feeling exhausted and just had to phone in sick as I feel it might shift to a migraine. It’s the end of term, and I know my dept is short staffed, so know I will be moaned at as well. Was going to try and go in, but husband stopped me, saying if I was considering taking a day off then I must be poorly. Needing hugs today, and any recommendations for what to do with headaches during pregnancy?? Hope everyone else is doing ok xx

canonlyhopexo · 17/12/2018 08:20

@mightypinkdms in the same boat as you. Not headaches but nausea that just won't come to anything but won't shift either. I feel absolutely horrific and my dept is so short staffed at the moment too. I'm just trying to be in the mindset of I'd be no use at work feeling like this so it's best for everyone if I just stay at home. Hope you feel better soon xx

7yearslater · 17/12/2018 08:24

I had headaches badly in my first pregnancy and I ended up seeing a cranial osteopath who got rid of them straight away so that's worth looking at if they continue.
I've woken up feeling slightly less anxious than yesterday but still so tearful and low. Keep getting cramps although no recent spotting since yesterday. All boob soreness gone and feel sick but I think that's stress more than anything. Can't decide if I want to be pregnant or not!

KMic · 17/12/2018 08:32

Morning ladies!

Just had my apt with the doctor... who basically told me if I've tested positive at home then I'm pregnant and to read up about early pregnancy.

Booked my booking apt with the midwife (who apparently don't see you until you are at least 8 weeks anyway) for Jan 7th (which is actually when I will be 9 weeks) as that was all she had. So another 3 weeks to wait before any balls get rolling. Actually so pleased it's Christmas as it gives me something to get my mind occupied!! Wondering if it's just a Norfolk thing to wait for 8 weeks or if any of you have had that else where? I'm sure some of you have said you have already met with your midwives?
