Hi @KMic, I've got my booking in appointment with the midwife right on 9 weeks, like you too, and I'm in London. I previously had a booking in appointment on my 9 week mark, but unfortunately lost that pregnancy. So think it's normal to get one around that time.

KMic · 17/12/2018 08:53

Ahh thanks @clairelee17 that's good to know! It makes sense I guess!

JenMumma · 17/12/2018 09:01

Hi ladies, school run done and I'm off back to bed with a crate of ginger beer and some black currant liquorice sweets x x hi and congratulations to everyone I haven't said hi to and rest assured my electric blanket is off so no dry poaching x x

Whoopsies · 17/12/2018 10:31

@KMic Its very sad and sounds cruel, but a lot of pregnancies don't make it past the first few weeks so I think booking in isn't usually until at least 8 weeks to save having too many appointments which then aren't needed. Mine isn't until 9+5.

Whoopsies That’s why I wanted to wait until I’m past the 7 week mark, but then it’s going to Christmas so I’ll probably be around 8 weeks once I go to the drs/midwife. Not even sure what I have to do here in my area. I guess I’ll call the dr and ask. I need to pop in anyway and change my name. I’ve not even told the nhs of my name change yet since my wedding last year! 😱

Triskaidekaphilia · 17/12/2018 11:03

I still need to call my midwife, GP gave me the number 2 weeks ago Blush

ScotsBaby2 · 17/12/2018 11:46

Just had a call from the midwife. I'm having booking in at 9+4 days as that's the earliest they could do. She said there will be plenty of time to get a scan booked in after that. It's also during mock exams here so I won't be teaching that afternoon :-)

dragonmummy17 · 17/12/2018 12:29

My booking appointment is around 9 weeks too on 31st December
Nausea has kicked up a step today and I'm so emotional... I cried yesterday at cbeebies bedtime story and today over the shopping list!

Runruth400 · 17/12/2018 12:54

@7yearslater I also am having some cramping/sharp pains in my lower abdomen. Was a drs last week with it going again this afternoon because it's not settled and I'm getting a bit worried (probably more paranoid as MMC in sept) but I'll feel more settled just getting checked out. Not had any spotting so fingers crossed it's nothing to worry about x

Fae1989 · 17/12/2018 13:14

Afternoon all, yay I found the new thread!

How’s everyone today? Congratulations to those just finding out and new joiners :)

Saw my GP today and been referred to midwife. Feel as sick as a dog though, it’s definirely getting worse!! One more week at work seems like a lifetime...

Hope everyone’s ok!

canonlyhopexo · 17/12/2018 13:31

Hi everyone

I'm 5+6 today and been in bed since Thursday with horrendous nausea, feeling faint and fatigued. Had a big cry to DP last night feeling really over emotional and then today low and behold the vomiting has begun. Right in the middle of the day! I strangely feel much better and just relieved for being sick and now fancy some toast!? Hope everyone is having a good day and isn't feeling too horrible with various symptoms x

Fae1989 · 17/12/2018 14:01

@canonlyhopexo - hope you feel better soon!

Hula hoops are a godsend with my nausea today, worth a try!

Jelliestogether · 17/12/2018 15:04

Hi, can I jump on board!! I need others to tell!! This is baby number 1 for us. A bit of a surprise as we were waiting to ttc in Jan but here we are now! We are both so excited, although my OH feels like just 2 positive tests isn't enough proof and wants a professional to tell him 😂

Due date looking at 31st July according to my flo app. Which makes me 7+5 already! Spoke to the doctors, no midwife appointments until I will be 11 weeks! This feels ages away, does anyone if this is too late or will it be ok?

Now to hide it from my friends overtly the festive period...already trying to work out how to get of drinking at a girls dinner this week! Ps congrats to everyone else here!! Sorry mines long...mega excited!

avacadooo · 17/12/2018 15:22

@canonlyhopexo i feel the same, actually just feel so miserable cause I feel like my life has ended since I just lie in bed, wish I could vomit for some relief.
Hope you feel better soon!!💕

@Jelliestogether order lemonade and say it has gin in it and if they offer to buy you a drink say a coke or something cause you've got a dry mouth..

canonlyhopexo · 17/12/2018 15:26

@avacadooo oh my lil poached pal it's horrible isn't it. I've been in bed since Thursday and just had to up to my ears now I feel like a shell of myself. Are you off work? Hopefully you're sick soon and it will relief it a bit. If if makes you feel better I only had relief for about an hour and I'm back to just feeling nauseous. Thanks hun 💖

avacadooo · 17/12/2018 15:30

@canonlyhopexo I feel ya! Thanks I've never wished myself to be sick before 😂
Yeah off work, boss is potentially covering my shifts until next week luckily, what about you?
Did you get your toast?
It's so shit being stuck in bed isn't it?
Poached pal 😂
Hope you feel better soon too 💕

canonlyhopexo · 17/12/2018 15:33

@avacadooo I was the exact same I was just thinking come on be sick and you'll feel better! That's good you're able to be at home resting. Have you got any dates about checking your BP again? Being in bed is so boring especially this time of year 😭

Thought I would join after a MMC earlier this year. Cautiously optimistic for this one :) Good luck to all of you

clairelee17 · 17/12/2018 15:53

Hi @ScarletGlow my EDD is 7th August

Noopey · 17/12/2018 16:10

Oh gosh. 7 weeks today and nausea is beginning to kick in. Managed to calm it down but thought I was going to have a disaster on the morning school run. One way to let the other two know they are going to be older siblings!!

avacadooo · 17/12/2018 16:16

@canonlyhopexo going back on Wednesday, kind of hoping they'll pull my mw appointment forward because of it and that I'm suffering 😂x

ScotsBaby2 · 17/12/2018 16:20

@ScarletGlow you absolute gem! Thank you. I just came on to do it. Although this does mean I need to go back to marking.

canonlyhopexo · 17/12/2018 16:34

@avacadooo fingers crossed they do! I was surprised how quickly I was seen to be fair x

Whoopsies · 17/12/2018 17:09

My edd is 9th August for now!!
