@AIDE2424 I was convinced my first was a boy but I was wrong ! was so surprised when she was born and they said girl, I was like are you sure ?! Haha

I've got two girls, I don't really have any feeling this time! Although I was really sick with both girls and haven't been this time around so it is making me think it could possibly be a boy this time ! I really would like to find out but OH doesn't so not sure if we will !

Just catching up, lovely to read about all the positive scans and the pics are so clear! I have my 12 week scan today at 3pm, been awake since 5am with nerves/excitment! Best wishes to the others having theirs today too xx

@wombatron my 12 week is 16th jan too, I think me you and @ReginaPhalange89 are all due same time!

Your all gonna think I’m mad, but here’s my reason for having a girl 😂
I can’t think of a boys name for the life of me but have settled on a girls name.
I saw two tarot readers separately this year before I was pregnant. ( I’m not a massive believer) but both said I was going to be pregnant this year and it’s a girl. My niece said it was a girl. Chinese predictor calaneder says girl. My mum has 4 of us. 2 boys 2 girls. She wasn’t sick at all with my brothers but was sick with me and my sister and I have sickness. So yeah I think it’s a girl I’ll be shocked if they tell me it’s a boy 😂😂

I have a doctors appointment this afternoon. I've been sick again this morning, after drinking water add eating an orange. The bad news is that my sick contained tiny red specks of blood. I'm sure it's nothing to worry about, and it's just from the continuous nausea and vomiting, but I'd rather get checked out.

According to the Chinese chart I'm also having a girl @aide!
I knew 100% after my 12 week scan with last baby that she was a girl, the nub was so clear . Hoping it'll be obvious this time as well so I'll at least have a feeling if we don't find out !
I want to find out more for other people's sake, itll be my parents 6th grandchild and all girls so far ! So I know they'll be hoping for a boy

Ha AIDE I know there's a few of us around that time as I was whinging about everyone else getting their scans before me 😂don't feel so alone now haha.

I am hoping for a girl. Mainly because I don't think I could live a life of my MIL telling me all about how boys are. I'm being a cow but she will compare everything to her 2 other sons and DH. But DH is 1 of 4 (on his dads side he has 3 half siblings) and there's 3 boys and 1 girl there. Given it's the sperm that decides this I'm not certain I'll get my wish....
But deep down; happy for a healthy baby

Hi there, thanks everyone.
These twins are my first pregnancy that has ever got this far so I get v superstitious. It’s only been in the last week or so that I’ve actually said out loud that I’m pregnant with twins. I’m going to be an old first time mum, eg the midwife laughed but didn’t correct me when I said that I think she meant Jurassic rather than geriatric 😂
And more importantly it’s just me 😱 I have fab supportive friends who will be there for me but ultimately it’s just me. So if I think too much about what I need to do before they arrive, how many nappies I’m going to need, how much bodily fluids one produces let alone two etc etc I start to spiral into a panic. In last 5 weeks I’ve had to learn to slow down, I can no longer walk a mile uphill with 2 bags of shopping plus handbag without stopping to catch my breath or desperately needing a pee. I’m having to take everything one step at a time & I consider everyday that the 3 of us survive to be a win.
And no I don’t have a bump, I look like I eat 2 Xmas dinners plus cake on a daily basis; my breasts now come out from beneath my charm pits & I’m convinced my nipples are now big enough to choke a grown man so really don’t know how I will be able to feed them without suffocating them. But on the plus side my dreams are fabulously mental & I often wake up laughing at myself.

Congrats to all the mumma's that have had their 12 week scans! Mine is 14th January when by lmp I'll be 12+1 but I think I'll be 11+4 by my dates. Can't bloody wait. My eldest DD remarked today 'mummy, your baby bump is really sticking out today' 😬 I think it's just bloat (and fat) but it really is sticking out. A lot.

Oh Toria73 your post made me laugh out loud. You sound lovely, lucky twins! 😊 Don't forget, you also have some strangers on the Internet behind a blue screen who can be occasionally helpful. 🤗

DH is convinced we're having a boy, because various men in his family have had sons at the same age as he is now. I didn't expect that from him tbh but it's kind of cute. I was once told by a fortune teller a good 20 years ago I'd have boys. Chinese calendar thing says girl though. Whatever it is, we'd love to have them.

So lovely to hear about all the scans! We're back next Weds for our official dating scan and can't wait.

I reckon we're having a boy - not based on any symptoms or logic, but the fact that EVERYONE we know has had boys so why would we be the ones to buck the trend lol.

Chinese prediction says I’m having a boy, but it was wrong for dd so I’m not holding much by it. Last time I apparently carried like a boy, had no sickness at all, and all predictions said boy. When I was told she was a girl I didn’t believe them.

Has anyone heard of the bicarbonate of soda test? My friend swears by it and says it got all her 3 kids right? I have no preference either way I just can’t wait for my 12 week scan- not until 15th jan! Congratulations to everyone, lovely photos.

Oh and the ring test says I’m having a girl too 😂 I always said I wanted a boy first but not I’m not fussed either way at all!

I might do the bicarb test just for a bit of fun!

We should all do the bicarb test and add to the spreadsheet - then update once our babies are here with what happened

Ive just done it, mine fizzed up a lot ! Think that's supposed to mean boy?

Suppose so Regina - though I think what you've eaten the day before will also influence it! Chinese chart says girl for me! But I will try and remember the bicarb tomorrow morning!

@TwinkleDay you add urine to it and it’s supposed to tell the sex based on whether it fizzes or not! My friends were all correct.
I never have any bicarb in the house to test it.

Just googled it. Get some bicarbonate of soda in a cup and wee on it. If it fizzes it's a boy and if it does nothing it's a girl. The idea is your wee is acidic for a boy and a girl is alkaline.

Ah ha! I’m at work so I have just taken the kitchen bicarb and pot to the loo and it fizzed up like a pint lol a lovely head... I also did Chinese prediction saying boy and if you look at my scan there might be something there ... what do you recon.. I also have been fortunate enough to no suffer from morning sickness yet 14 + 1... lol

@TwinkleDay I can see something on the scan, I can’t see the other leg though.. it might be that, otherwise it looks to be a boy I’ve escaped morning sickness in both pregnancies (so far) too, but last one was a girl. Can’t wait till we all find out!

I’ve just done the bicarb test and it didn’t fizz apparently that means girl so we shall see!

@twinkleday I don't think it'd be developed enough for that to be boy parts would it ? Maybe the cord ?
