All good here! What a relief! it was panicking even more as my symptoms have all but disappeared and I didn’t want to mention that on the thread incase it was bad news and it made anyone else worry! Here’s a photo! Measuring 9+2 ❤️

I know they grow so fast, on Xmas day I did actually start to feel flutters and like I’m being tickled lightly from the inside. 🥰 so lovely timing little one x

StargazyDrifter · 27/12/2018 20:38

Oh wow that's SO adorable, TwinkleDay and AIDE! Exciting news and they are properly lovely shots. 😊 AIDE's one seems to be looking right at the camera! 😍

Trying2bemum hang in there. I was just tidying up my maternity record pack, have umpteen billion appointment letters in there, just trying to make some sense of them all. One of the bits of paper I have in my pack is about antenatal talk therapies, which it says can include couples therapy. If you're in London I can post a pic of that leaflet, if helpful? You basically ring the service for your local council and they tell you how they can help. No idea if any good.

AnnaBegins · 27/12/2018 20:48

Had my booking in appt today but unlikely to see that midwife again, it's a bit hit and miss here. Last time we didn't find out the sex at 20 weeks (it's sex not gender technically!) But DH is undecided this time. I'd still rather wait but he wants to know!

Belmo · 27/12/2018 21:01

Congratulations AIDE2424 that’s fab!
TwinkleDay what an amazingly clear picture!!

Had my 12 week scan this morning. All looking good, measuring 12+2 with a due date of 9th of July, which is bang on what I thought. It was lovely!
Told the kids and they are so excited. All feels real now!

TheScaredyKat · 27/12/2018 22:19

Congratulations on the scans ladies!! Fab news and lovely pics x x x

BirthdayKake · 27/12/2018 22:26

Congratulations girls! Amazing pictures.

Yeah technically it's sex not gender, but the private scan is usually called a gender scan!

wombatron · 27/12/2018 22:45

Congratulations @AIDE2424 - that's what mine would look like as I am 9+2/3 also. Hurrah!!!

wombatron · 27/12/2018 22:46

@StargazyDrifter I am in London - could you post your leaflet when you get a second?

StargazyDrifter · 27/12/2018 23:00

Ta da! It's a two sided doc, so two photos.

Well booking into my choice of hospital has been a complete pain in the area. Make a GP appointment the week after I found out I was pregnant as didn't want to go to our local hospital so couldn't go direct to the midwife. Saw GP at six weeks. Doctors secretary phoned me a week later so say he hadn't managed to do the referral booked me in to see the local midwife who would refer me on.
Local midwife was lovely but need to have another booking appointment at the hospital I want to go too 11 weeks now and still no scsn date.
Have my booking appointments at the hospital tomorrow afternoon so hopefully they will actually book my scan before I miss my NT scan.
Wish I had booked a private scan just want to know everything is ok.
Today the family in boxing day 5 year old us very excited. My dad still hasn't said anything about it. My mum died nearly three years ago and I am sad she isn't around.
Feeling less sick and tired.
Exciting for all those having scans

Toria73 · 28/12/2018 00:32

@Aide2424 I’m so pleased for you as I’ve been following all the chat & was concerned for you.
I had my 12 wk scan today which went well. Think I cried with relief as I’d dreamed last night that all the scan showed was a lizard & a bunch of keys... wtf?!?
The wee one was totally chilled, basically looked as if he/she couldn’t give a fuck & the bigger one was totally hyper & bouncing about. They’ve both got Buddha bellies though 😂

wombatron · 28/12/2018 07:06

Thanks @StargazyDrifter I def don't have that and I've booked in!!

TwinkleDay · 28/12/2018 07:26

@Toria73 ahh this is so funny a lizard with a bunch of keys pahahaha... I think your the only one on here so far expecting twins...

I don’t know if I would be mentally prepared for that... are these your first?

Massive congrats though on the healthy Buddhas x

Twistering · 28/12/2018 07:46

@AIDE, TwinkleDay thrilled for you!

And @Toria so glad the twins are both making it through, I wondered the other day. Hope at least one of them remains chilled!

@ohmybaby and @Stargazydrifyer mine is 9am today, good luck both, not that it’s needed.

Totally get the ‘wtf am I doing’ feeling. Despite 4 years of heartache I still sometime think what if it doesn’t change everything for the better. Doesn’t help being older I think, kinda like my life generally! And yet still shitting it about this morning. Just general head fuck all round!

BirthdayKake · 28/12/2018 08:47

A lizard and a bunch of keys 😂

Twistering best of luck for today. Not long now! I can relate of relate to how you feel. Despite having four DC (!), life was pretty settled and I was content and got to have a glass (or three) of wine at night when I wanted to and never got disturbed in the night. So sometimes I'm a bit "oh god, why are we giving that up?!" BUT it's only temporary and we will love our babies :)

BirthdayKake · 28/12/2018 08:50

Yeh ignore gross typos!

ReginaPhalange89 · 28/12/2018 10:34

Just had my 12 week scan appt through the post ! Friday 18th Jan 🙈 that feels so far away ! I'll be 12+4 ! Probably one of the last in the group to have mine ! Ugh

StargazyDrifter · 28/12/2018 10:52

Aww Toria that's so sweet! Been quietly wondering how the twins are getting on. Are you starting to show yet? At 12 weeks (with one) I am showing only a little, but could at this stage pass for Christmas bloat. 🙈

wombatron glad it was helpful! I'm tempted to put one in too- anxiety related, especially the crazy dreams and waking up heart beating so fast like it might explode. I can just about shrug off the thoughts (sometimes) but not the more physical stuff. Let me know how you get on!

Twistering and ohmybaby thinking of you both today. Mine's at 2.30, feeling all kinds of anxious.

Also totally echo the wider 'wtf have we done'. It'll be all good in the end!

AIDE2424 · 28/12/2018 10:55

Thankyou everyone i am extremely happy!

Does anyone have any inkling into what gender the baby is?

I’m thinking girl for many reason! It’s my first baby so could be wrong but I’m just convinced I’m having a girl ❤️
I would be happy either way, think DP wants a girl as already has a son from a previous relationship x

FuzzyPixel · 28/12/2018 11:00

Loving hearing all of the lovely scan news! It's making me very hopeful. All the best to everyone else who is having a scan later today.

I have about two weeks until mine, I'll be 12+5 when I have it.

wombatron · 28/12/2018 11:03

@ReginaPhalange89 I'm the 16th Jan as I think we're due date buddies, or close to.

BirthdayKake · 28/12/2018 11:21

Yes AIDE, I think I'm having a little girl too! My sickness is too bad for it to be a boy 😂
