Wonder how many threads we'll have completed before the end of the first trimester!

I'm so sorry @Buggles1 , I think we were all convinced you were going to be ok. Wishing you and your OH all the best for the future. Sounds futile, but I hope you have a happy Christmas and the new year brings you happy news.

Xxx

Belmo · 17/12/2018 13:20

Aw Buggles1 I’m so so sorry.

StargazyDrifter · 17/12/2018 13:34

Buggles1 so very sorry to hear it. This happened to me last Christmas, and here I am again. It will seem unfathomable today, and there's need to think that far ahead today of all days, but it does all eventually, slowly, move into another chapter. Huge hugs and take all the time, take care.xxxxx

StargazyDrifter · 17/12/2018 13:43

Btw, anyone seen itsallgreek lately? It feels like ages.

wombatron · 17/12/2018 13:50

Stargazer there's a few I haven't seen for a while. Our little spreadsheet had a long list, some I don't think are on here any more which makes me so sad. I was wondering if we should do a headcount of sorts but not really sure if that's the done thing.

Capybaras · 17/12/2018 13:54

So so sorry to hear this @Buggles1
Really hope you and your OH have the support you need to help you through this awful time.

Capybaras · 17/12/2018 13:57

Been feeling a bit rubbish today with a head cold (I love Sudafed for a cold, gutted I can't take it) so sat in work feeling crap and eating crap.

We have an early reassurance scan booked for later this week - excited but also apprehensive. I'm 10+4 today but think may actually be less than that as I have irregular long cycles!

Stomach is getting quite firm now and my pot belly is sticking out a bit more so may he beginnings of a bump. Still managing to hide it (I think) with loose clothing! Hard to hide my boobs though which have gone from an E to a G!

StargazyDrifter · 17/12/2018 14:07

I know what you mean wombatron, I don't know either. Perhaps some are just busy/lost track of the threads too.

Capybaras I'm 10+5, almost twins! I hope all goes well.

My boobs aren't sore any more and I've woke up with mild cramps that, for a change, weren't linked to wind 🙈. No blood anywhere. Having had a MMC I'm wondering about a reassurance scan later in the week. No reason to bother EPU but somehow mentally Christmas would be easier if we knew upfront. Maybe I'm over-thinking.

Capybaras · 17/12/2018 14:21

I haven't been a massive contributor to these threads as I feel I don't have a lot to say/knowledge being my first pregnancy but been following so maybe a lot of people are the same?

@StargazyDrifter hope everything is ok for you. I definitely think it would be worth having a scan just for reassurance, much better to have peace of mind than be worrying about things. I know all I can think about is being pregnant and hoping the baby is ok, so it's hard to get away from.
Keeping my fingers crossed for you 🤞🏼

ReginaPhalange89 · 17/12/2018 14:24

I'm so sorry @Buggles1. How awful. And also scary that it's happened a bit later on ! Gives me the fear , you feel reassured after an early scan but just shows it doesn't always mean everything's going to be fine at the 12 week one !

I'm feeling pretty rough today. Just a constant nausea. Everything I eat feels like it's just sitting waiting to come back up .ugh. also fell earlier and managed to hurt my knee 🙄

RooKangaroo · 17/12/2018 14:42

Oh fuck, @Buggles1. I'd didn't see that coming at all; I was convinced you'd be fine.

I'm so so sorry. I can't imagine what you're going through. Sending love x

ememem84 · 17/12/2018 14:47

Oh buggles I’m so sorry to hear that.

Kentishgal · 17/12/2018 14:53

Buggles1 i'm so sorry - I just thought it was what I am having. Look after yourself.

Does make me wonder if everything is alright - I've just been ignoring the brown discharge. Maybe I need a private reassurance scan before Christmas.

Well baby now has a heartbeat! Measuring exactly 7 weeks, so behind everyone in this thread I think, as it’s pushed my due date into the beginning of August! So relieved, even though it’s still very early for me she said the risks go down dramatically after seeing a heartbeat so, for now I’m happy. Smile

Chinks123 · 17/12/2018 17:17

Thankyou @StargazyDrifter I hope everything’s okay for you too. I’m also a panicker if my boobs aren’t sore, but some days I seem to feel more symptoms than others.

So sorry @Buggles1 not a nice time of year for bad news but I really hope you can have a nice Christmas, and that the new year is a happy one.

TheScaredyKat · 17/12/2018 17:19

@Buggles1 I'm so sorry to read this horrible news. I hope you have some time now with your loved ones. I'm sure you'll get your rainbow just around the corner x x

Laburna · 17/12/2018 17:21

Brilliant news Chinks I doubt you'll be the only one with a baby born in August when we get there!

Oh buggles I'm so sorry. I hope you are being kind to yourself and getting lots of support from DP. I know it seems impossible and far fetched right now, with the big 4-0 looming, but my friend had several MCs, then had her first at 40 and second at 43, so never say never xxx

TheScaredyKat · 17/12/2018 17:24

My scan today went well had to keep bouncing around to get the little one in the right position. Been skipped forwards a few days so due date now 27th June!!

Kentishgal · 17/12/2018 17:27

Good news scardykat and chinks!

This afternoon my symptoms (which were quite bad) have totally disappeared - I've been feeling sick for weeks then suddenly - nothing. I've convinced myself it's bad news.

Thanks everyone. Can’t get in for surgery till Thursday but at least we can start a fresh in the new year. If only I could stop crying now...

Squ1ggle · 17/12/2018 17:44

@Buggles1 I'm so so sorry, please try to rest up over Christmas xx

Squ1ggle · 17/12/2018 17:49

I'm still lurking, 11 weeks today and finally had my booking in appointment and I feel much more positive after it. I have my 12 week scan on Christmas eve at exactly 12 weeks which I really was not expecting.
The hospital also didn't have a record of my bleed after ds which suggests that it probably wasn't enough to be classed as a pph which means I could potentially still have the water birth I had my heart set on. I was induced with ds, was hooked up to all sorts of monitors and I really wanted a calmer experience this time.

TheScaredyKat · 17/12/2018 17:53

How many weeks are you now? @Kentishgal

allthegoodnamesalreadytaken · 17/12/2018 17:56

I'm sorry to hear your news @Buggles1 good luck for the future wishing you lots of luck

I had my 12 week scan today all looking baby was jumping around got moved forward by 1 day. Nuchal measurement only 1.5 so hoping all the screening results come back as quite low

Sorry I haven't been a massive contributor on here as finding it really tough to cope with a toddler "morning sickness" and whole household have had the lurgy for a good few weeks now. Hopefully second trimester will bring me a burst of energy and less sickness so I can keep up! Good luck to everyone else having scans this week

Kentishgal · 17/12/2018 18:11

LMP puts me at 10+1 but I think I am 9+1 (based on ovulation and the scan I had 2 and a half weeks ago. I am stressing myself out completely. But nothing tangible to warrant speaking to midwife. I have my booking in appt on Thursday so I'll mention it then...and just panic in the meantime.😏
