Yay! So pleased for you @Blondcat.

JBCG · 06/12/2018 13:59

Congratulations @Blondcat !!

curlypasta · 06/12/2018 14:25

12 week scan today, definitely a baby in there with a little heartbeat which is such a relief after brown blood episode! But I have a retroverted uterus so the couldn’t get any measurements Sad but I get to come back again for another scan in a week. Currently sat waiting for my consultant to review all my other shit but I’m feeling optimistic now!
Blood pressure is well medicated and staying where it should and I even had a little swim today Grin so might not have to spend the next 6 months ‘resting’

curlypasta · 06/12/2018 14:27

Baby :)

Fabuluce · 06/12/2018 14:30

Congrats on the successful scans ladies!! ❤️

That's weird about the retroverted uterus @curlypasta - I have one too but have never had any problem with measurements. I wonder why that is?

JBCG · 06/12/2018 14:40

Congratulations @curlypasta great news about blood pressure!

I also have one - I've only had internal scans so far but my one tomorrow morning is an external one so I'll be intrigued to see if they can see anything!

curlypasta · 06/12/2018 14:44

I’m massively fat too so that probably doesn’t help Wink but the baby was also way way down in the bottom and curled up. They got the crown to rump but nothing else

Blondcat · 06/12/2018 14:49

@curlypasta great news on your bp and baby ok even if not playing ball for the measurements.

hexagon01 · 06/12/2018 15:11

Lovely scans today! Feeling very nervous/excited about mine tomorrow, thankfully it’s at 9am.

Fabuluce · 06/12/2018 15:11

Ah that curled down the bottom thing probably had something to do with it then! Pesky babies and pesky uteri! 😂

Reastie · 06/12/2018 15:18

The accruing holiday pay whilst on maternity leave I never quite got a grasp of (teacher). I had a year off last time and just came back and worked as normal, I never got and additional holiday pay/time off on holidays.

R4ch4el · 06/12/2018 15:49

Congratulations on the lovely scans ladies! Mine is in two hours, so nerve-wracking waiting for it. I’ve had 4 scans already and feel relaxed for about 2 hours after each one then start worrying about the next one. So ridiculous!

In work in HR so happy to answer any questions that I can about maternity entitlements if anyone needs help. You are definitely entitled to accrue holiday whilst on maternity leave and should be carrying over any unused holiday from before you go off.

toasterstrudle · 06/12/2018 16:06

Congratulations Blond and curly! Had my scan and put forward again today so new due date 13th June! Baby was looking healthy, so lovely to see after the awful mmc scan earlier this year. NT 1.9 and now just waiting for blood tests back. Phew!

Good news about successful scans - and try not to worry too much @R4ch4el (though it’s totally understandable).

Did everyone else get print-outs of photos? Our (big, London) hospital no longer do if apparently so we were invited to take a photo of the screen...lucky we also paid for private scans so at least we get those. But do other hospitals do the same now?

We have to pay £5 for 2 photos.

SilverSister · 06/12/2018 17:12

We had to pay £5 per photo. Up to £20 for 4. And you have to prepay before you go in so no idea what you're going to get. My baby wouldn't turn up the right way however much I jiggled my hips so the pics are pretty rubbish (Imagine a baby faceplant)

£6.50 for one but got two as one was a bit blurry so be to me anyway

mindthechaos · 06/12/2018 17:18

Lovely scan toaster

It's £3.50 a photo here, so not too bad. I'm just happy they can accept card now as when I went two years ago it was cash only and they didn't have enough change so we could only get 1 photo as they were rationing their change.

Matmum12 · 06/12/2018 17:24

Due in June 2nd baby. Been a rollercoaster since I found out. Bad blocked nose nothing is working most of the day to exhausted and tired ( happy my son is in school and after school club), had UTI had to be on antibiotics for 14 days hoping the next results will come back ok. I am miserable all day cause I can't breath most of the time. Had 2 early scans due to pain and spotting. Got my 12 weeks scan next weeks.

@toomanyflatwhites I’m at a London hospital too. Do you mind me asking which one you’re at? Worried we won’t get one now! It’s the same hospital I had DD at but that was almost 6 years ago now so things may have changed.

Congratulations to everyone on the lovely scans! And I hope your scans gone well today @R4ch4el Smile

toasterstrudle · 06/12/2018 18:51

I didn't have to pay, no donation box either but the hospital is under a fair bit of construction so perhaps not all set up yet. With DS I was given photos for free but there was a donation box (different hospital).
