DS has just pulled all the pillows and the duvet off our bed while I was typing that last post ...Anyone want a 2.5yr old...blue eyes blond hair....free to a good home! Must take best friend too,7 yr old white, black and tan Jack russell....anyone????

HIWBB....how about you....I know how you love dogs!!

PS soz about the over use of smileys on my last post

emj23 · 18/07/2007 13:47

HIWBB, I'm so sorry to hear what you and your husband have been going through and I hope you and he will soon be feeling tons better. You're quite right to be angry and want to rant and this is a great place to do it. Best wishes to you.

Chattyhan · 18/07/2007 13:52

MooMar - ha ha but i've already got a 2.5 yr old with blond hair and blue eyes and he's currently fighting with a 2.5yr old girl so maybe we should swap!

Got pair of them today and tomorrow and normally if they're fighting on the first day it doesn't improve so as for putting my feet up!

Well my pelvic floor muscles are working very hard to hold this baby in at the moment and it's driving me up the wall. I feel like i need to support my undercarriage! Not sure how long these muscles are going to hold out! I remember the pressure from last time but didn't feel this weak until approx 2 weeks before birth! I'm concerned it means i may go into premature labour but the consultant said theres no way of knowing for sure - does anyone else get sick of the ambiguous answers

emj23 · 18/07/2007 14:01

Chattyhan, I'm sorry your muscles feel dodgy but I have to say it's a relief to know that it's not just me feeling this way. I'm convinced that even though this baby is apparently still 'free' ie not ready to be born at all, she's head butting me right in the crotch and feels like she's going to bungy-jump out!

Chattyhan · 18/07/2007 14:51

emj23 - thanks for the sympathy xx it's such a horrible feeling although my baby is 2/5 engaged so i'm going to try the yoga braking position to see if i can persuade little one to move up again!

MrsFish · 18/07/2007 15:11

My lo is head right down too already and I'm only 29+3. I feel like I need the loo all the time too, even though when I get there, there is nothing or only a trickle (tmi?)

MrsMooMar you can have my blonde haired blued eyed 2+1 yr old if you like,he has been doing my nut in since the weekend, perhaps they cn occupy each other

Well its sunny here atm but we have had two horrendous downpours and thunder so far already and I am knackered, could do with a nap but ds doesn't seem inclined to one today

MMooMar · 18/07/2007 15:55

Are you sure I cant persuade any of you to take in two little lodgers.......mean lot!

Chatty ,Mrsfish...what are we doing having another, does the word mental spring to mind?

Mrsfish, just finally got mine to go down for a nap, thought he wasnt going to go either but he went without a fight in the end.No nap for me either going to go and get some more of those clothes sorted and in the wash, got a bit of painting to do(cant see that getting done today),ironing to put away, the vac has got to be put round at some point today and in between ive got to clean the bathroom and its nearly 4 oclock and DS will only kip for about an hour.....so I dont really know what I am doing on here!

byeeeeeeeee!

Pennypops · 18/07/2007 16:32

Ok all you crazy second timers - what does an engaged head feel like???? I need to wee constantly (way tmi sorry) but not a right lot comes out. Is this actually likely to get worse? If so, I shall simply sleep in the bathroom. I know mine is head down but I don't know how far down????

Pennypops · 18/07/2007 16:34

By the way, all your kids sound angelic with their blond hair and blue eyes!

MrsFish · 18/07/2007 16:50

Pennypops - thats what I am like, I can't go half an hour without feeling like I need to go, and it gets very uncomfortable, like when you are normally bursting for the loo. Its very frustrating when hardly anything comes out. Not looking forward to our drive down to Cornwall at the end of the month

Pennypops · 18/07/2007 16:52

Oh god MrsFish that will be hard work!!! I go from not needing to go to needing to go NOW in the space of about 4 seconds.

And you have done this twice??? The mind is clearly a powerful thing!

MrsFish · 18/07/2007 16:54

And I ain't doing it again, twice is more than enough only approx 10 weeks to go and then I can go about getting my body back to normal

Pennypops · 18/07/2007 16:57

You never know MrsF - that urge for a third may sneak up on you!!

MrsFish · 18/07/2007 17:03

Nope, I always thought I wanted three, but I hate this pregnancy lark, so I'm done

Pennypops · 18/07/2007 17:16

Fair play - I am already wondering how I would manage this again with a toddler to look after. Must be very hard work.

Chattyhan · 18/07/2007 17:34

my bump is so low that i have to lift it to close my legs the baby's head is putting pressure on my cervix and i agree with the needing to wee all the time even if nothing comes out. definately hope i haven't got 8 wks of this but also hope things don't happen too early! i've been told engagement doesn't normally happen with subsequent pregnancies until labour! Any of you 3rd/4th timers do you have knowledge of this?

MrsFish · 18/07/2007 17:41

Well I am on my second and this lo's head has been pointing down since the 20 week scan. I wish he was higher up as my bump looks an odd shape and it is uncomfortable sitting up straight unless my legs are spread wide apart, even then whatever I am wearing seems to dig in and make things uncomfortable. 10 more weeks at least to go

emj23 · 18/07/2007 18:06

Think I'm due about the same time as you MrsFish, are you getting sick of waiting and wanting the time to go a lot quicker too?
Should I be worried that the baby's head isn't engaged at all yet? I've been told she's facing the wrong way as well and to spend ten minutes a day crawling around on my hands and knees to help her shift a bit... Walking properly is getting bad enough, let alone crawling. Eeeek.

EmLouT · 18/07/2007 18:07

Hi all - hope you are all enjoying the sun. I feel like a real party pooper because I am too hot and would like it to cool down a little.

Amyclaramum - thanks for the advice re the insurance company - I will let them know that I am pregnant.

I know what you all mean about needing the loo all the time. In the last week or so I feel like there is no let up but when I do go there is hardly anything there - roll on September!

Mrs Fish - I share your concerns about the drive down to Cornwall. Am going to Truro a week on Friday and I am dreading the journey (especially since we are going to have to go in a hire car as ours has been written off). Oh well - hopefully I can have a nice rest when I get there.

Hope you all have a nice evening.

MrsFish · 18/07/2007 18:24

emj23 - I'm due on the 30th.

Emlou - we go a week on saturday, near Porth wherever that is - have a nice time

emj23 · 18/07/2007 18:33

Yep, MrsFish, same as me. I can't help hoping she arrives early though. Not so early that it's dangerous or anything, just...a little bit less than 10.5 weeks away. Good luck with the journey, try not to think about liquid too much. I find that if I try not to shift about I need the loo less often. I know that's not easy when you have a big uncomfortable bump though.

dal21 · 18/07/2007 19:19

Hi EmJ - are you already being told to start trying to get baby in right position? I had a scan at appt last week (just after 28 weeks) and the baby was in breech position. was told that position of baby still wasnt a concern as there was still plenty of time for baby to turn...and it most likely would, quite a few times. What do others think? Am seeing midwife next week so will ask her opinion too.

Had a v. productive day - i finished painting the kitchen (looks lush) whilst mum cooked food that can be frozen for a good few months. Gotta love mums!

also bought the baby whisperer today, so will start reading that after recommendations of others.

Hope everyone else is feeling ok. Looks like tons more rain this weekend. Ho hum.

emj23 · 18/07/2007 20:15

Hi Dal21, I'm not really sure about breech babies, but if you've been told they turn over several times before getting comfy, I'm sure you will be fine. It's always best to ask though. My baby is head down, but should be facing the other way as she is currently in 'back to back' position. Apparently it makes labour go on longer and is more painful so if I can get her to turn it's probably a good thing. It's just really uncomfortable to crawl around when the baby is currently so high I feel like my lungs are being crushed. When are they supposed to move further down into the pelvis? If she's going to stay this high up until she arrives I don't think I can stand it.

dal21 · 18/07/2007 20:42

So EMJ - the position is causing you discomfort now? Bar not being able to eat much and peeing lots more, I am feeling ok (touchwood it continues). Cannot wait to eat a huge meal once LO arrives! have dinner envy as my DH tucks into lovely dinner i have done him having eaten my marmite and toast earlier (all i can stomach at night!). I will double check with the midwife though - think my EDD is two days before yours.

Re. the bab dropping, think for first timers it can happen from 36 weeks onwards, although dont quote me on that!

I may be joining you in the crawling after my chat with the midwife!

emj23 · 18/07/2007 20:52

I hope it all continues to go well for you, Dal21, This crushed lungs feeling is just nasty, and I haven't even got away with not needing the loo as much as you ladies whose babies are further down, I'm still getting up at least three or four times a night. Good luck to you if you are told to do the crawling thing, the most I've managed was three minutes, not ten. It was just way too bloody uncomfortable and I felt like DP was going to use me as a footstool any minute lol

I just can't get comfortable ever it seems, I get out of breath and get pains in my stomach if I walk too far. I feel guilty about all the complaining I'm doing too. Everyone is going to be sick to death of me soon. Sorry for the whinge there.
