SeamonstEr · 20/06/2007 21:52

didn't you like my idea then?

FilBrit · 20/06/2007 21:53

Hellooooo!

Glad DH is home and that you at least now have a date for surgery, abeit in 6 weeks time

would your friends ever find out if the doggie lived outside until they got back?!

xx

Hopeitwontbebig · 20/06/2007 21:53

What was your idea...?

OP posts:
FilBrit · 20/06/2007 21:55

i think it's got potential !

Hopeitwontbebig · 20/06/2007 21:56

Thanks FilBrit

Funny, the vets said that he was absolutely fine in the cage overnight. It's tempting isn't it!! Vet bill was £58, and on the receipt it shows that he was given 1L of charcoal!!! That'll 'learn' him.

OMG he's just stretched and farted again

OP posts:
SeamonstEr · 20/06/2007 21:56

its on the other thread

Hopeitwontbebig · 20/06/2007 21:59

oops, sorry Seamonster it took me so long to write my message I didn't see those last few!

OP posts:
SeamonstEr · 20/06/2007 22:00

has it left huge 'presents' for you

SeamonstEr · 20/06/2007 22:00

so what did you think

hahahahahah

kinki · 20/06/2007 22:01

Hi hopey. Relax, put those feet up. I hope dh has a very speedy recovery. What bad timing for the next op. Time to rein in all favours to help you out I think.

About the dog. I think it might be a fair swap if perhaps the owners of the dog looked after you dc for a week. Don't read that as a 'fair' swap, obviously it would be a lot nicer having your dc compared to this boxer, and I'm sure your dc would have better table manners. What I mean is, it would be nice for you to have a week off in the summer holidays maybe. Oh, you know what I'm trying to say!

Hopeitwontbebig · 20/06/2007 22:03

TOP idea Kinki!!!!

I think I need danger money for breathing in all these methane fumes!!

OP posts:
SeamonstEr · 20/06/2007 22:04

[looking for attention]
so did you like it

kinki · 20/06/2007 22:13

I liked it, but would change one word. Not 'Fat, bored, moaning or depressed?' But 'Fat, bored, moaning and depressed? That's me anyway!

Hopeitwontbebig · 20/06/2007 22:15

I think I might be dying now....... he just won't stop the farting

I haven't made my toast yet, I'm scared to now, because the toaster might ignite all these fumes!

Seamonster, I'm cool with your suggestion . I think I'm going to have to go and sleep in the garden. I'll be back on tomorrow

OP posts:
kinki · 20/06/2007 22:19

try that for size.

PurpleLostPrincess · 20/06/2007 22:52

Hello ladies!

How about "We WILL make it through the summer to September!"...? I'm sooo fed up of people making comments about carrying through the summer - I did it with DD and to be honest, I haven't really got any other option have I!? [rolling eyes icon]

Anyway, hope you're all well? Thinking of you and DH HIWBB, you'll get through it and we're here to support you!

My kids have been off school with a sickness bug since last week and I'm slowly losing the plot as I've been trying to work from home and look after them while keeping my distance as I really don't want to catch it!

Work have been a nightmare for me too kinki so I really empathise! I was off for 3 weeks in February and when I went back, my role was pretty much taken from under me and I was told I could only do overtime with approval. Every time I asked to do some overtime (when something needed to be done and I didn't have enough time in the day), I was knocked back. Therefore, the 90% bit of my SMP is seriously lower than it should be - to the tune of about £370 per month! I wanted to have a chat with my Directors about it this week but I've been at home with the kids. I've done my homework and it could be classed as discrimination but I'm hoping it won't go that far. I've worked there for 6 years and given my heart and soul to them and for what - to be cast to one side just because I'm pg - I don't think so! I'm sure it'll be fine when I do speak with them and I'm going to suggest they meet me half way being as they have been very flexible with my working hours. I've just got myself worked up into a stupor about it all. There's more to it of course but thats the gist of it.

Sorry, didn't intend to vent to that extent!

Baby has been moving around loads and despite all the crap that's been going on with work, I keep in mind that I've only got next week then I'm off on mat leave and I truly can't wait!! I just want to get ready properly and get this house cleaned from top to bottom whilst resting inbetween (we'll see if that actually happens in reality!).

Well done on sticking up for yourself on the train - I can't believe nobody else said anything! Also, I'm sure she would be legally obliged to give her name in a situation like that!?

Love to you all xxx

sophus · 20/06/2007 23:00

had my anti-d today - ouch.

PurpleLostPrincess · 20/06/2007 23:17

sophus, it really hurts doesn't it!!! I'm usually fine with all that sort of thing but I was really shocked when I had one a few weeks ago in the day assessment unit at the top of my leg. The lady said to wiggle my toes but when she put it in, I wanted to kick her!! I've got my 28 week one next Friday and I'm dreading it!

holsnovell · 20/06/2007 23:24

I finally can load on my phone! The other thread was so big i could never get on!

EdieMcredie · 21/06/2007 08:28

Hi everyone, can't believe we are on another thread already! What is it going to be like when we are on mat leave with more time on our hands?!

HIWBB Sorry about the boxer and hope DH is doing ok.

I had my GTT yesterday and it wasn't so bad at all. My mum came with me so wasn't too bored and the phlebs were really good and so arms haven't been bruised to buggery like they usually are.

POP Im with you on the whole ''top 10 annoying comments from people'' thing. Im bloody sick of people saying ''when are you due?'' ''September'' ''Ooh aren't you big?!''

Im actually not big at all, bump measures spot on but im starting to get really pissed with people saying this to me!

I walked into town yesterday and today I bloody ache all over!

Hope everyone is well xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx

SeamonstEr · 21/06/2007 09:35

mine measures small (when lying down) and people look at me like I'm a freak.

name ideas;
'Yes, its due in September, so what?'
'Get you f'ing hands off my f'ing bump you rzls'
'come and 'ave a go if you think you're 'ard enough'

SeamonstEr · 21/06/2007 09:36

or the second idea could end with 'f'ers'

you get the idea though...

FilBrit · 21/06/2007 09:56

Hi

Love all the suggestions, but particularly keen on Purple's We WILL make it through the summer to September!"...? as I'm also geting lots of comments about how will I cope in the heat over summer etc - not really helpful is it - like it's optional may take to telling people that I'll be drinking lots of cold beer and see their reactions

Morning ladies,

Sorry for not responding to msgs on the other thread, I can't remember all I've read (goldfish memory, I hate being a pregnancy cliche)...except kinki's predicament! I would definitely put up a thread on mumsnet as there are a lot of members who might have the expertise to give you free advice. I can't believe they won't look at your case individually considering how long you've worked for them!

HWBB, hope dh is on the mend and starts to get some mobility in his arm soon. I would be at the length of time too. I would also banish the dog to the garden...nobody must come between a pregnant woman and her chocolate, esp if its nice stuff! I am a bit of a chocoholic and have eaten at least 2 bars a day plus a bowl of icecream with choc sauce most evenings...I look like an egg on legs

Purplelostprincess, sorry you're having trouble with work, it does seem a little like discrimination to me.

Edie, I am getting paranoid about the size of my bump as it is so high already also I haven't had a midwife appt to measure it yet so have no clue whether it is normal. I mentioned this to my mum the other day and she gave me lots of reassurance and then ended it with 'well you know another explanation could be that it is just a really big baby' Gee thanks for that mum, makes me feel a whole lot better

I also feel really self conscious when I'm out and about now as people look at your bump then your face...I now understand when my largerbreasted friends used to moan that people only looked at their chest.

I went to the drycleaners yesterday and a group of lads on bikes were hanging around the carpark where I parked my car. When I returned one of them wolf whistled me and then proceeded to do no handed wheelies round my car blowing kisses at me ....All I could think was I AM PREGNANT! They were only about 17 years old and I just thought how inappropriate, can't they tell??

Hope everyone is feeling good this morning!

xx

PurpleLostPrincess · 21/06/2007 10:50

laksa, what little gits on their bikes! The positive thing is that you are obviously looking good for them to whistle you lol! It's amazing how some people have no respect nowadays. When I had DS, people saw me coming and cleared a path. Now however, it's just not like that. I plough through regardless - 'PREGNANT WOMAN, COMING THROUGH!!!' as I'm determined to make the most of it lol!

Glad your GTT went well edie, it can be sooo boring sometimes and good that you haven't come out all bruised!
