@angelmiracle perfect, thanks! I’ve just ordered it. OH was shocked at the size of it! Hoping it doesn’t take up the whole bed!! Fingers crossed it helps with this back pain. Will keep you posted!

Welcome @SharonO225 you'll have no worries of this thread going quiet!

@cardboard33 I was very sceptical getting this! But so glad I did it has massively helped with my hip and tailbone pain. I was lying with a pillow in front one at my back and a cushion between my knees that all got lost when I moved. This pillow supports all 3 areas.

@TheWanderlust 🤣 the men think they're so hard done by! I told DH he's one of the lucky ones getting it once a week Grin

@firsttimemumjess1 I was worried but we've a superking bed. Im actually surprised how little room it takes up - it's the width of a standard pillow. Hope you get relief with it!

Priscilla83 · 14/11/2018 22:45

@HidCat thanks for your response. Got a letter today the appointment with consultant has been put back to after Christmas. I've booked to attend Hyponobirthing classes in December so hopefully I'll feel more prepared for the appointment in Jan.

The points about the pillows is interesting. I've been sleeping on my left side & have a v shaped pillow. Over the last 3-4 weeks my hips have been painful, I had put it down to "just another one of those pregnancy things" but I wonder if the pillow isn't effective enough. Anyone else having hip pain?

Wineandchoccy · 15/11/2018 03:31

I’m up needing my 3rd wee of the night Shock and now can’t get back to sleep I’m going to listen to my hypnobirthing audio I have downloaded mindful hypnobirthing by Sophie Fletcher on iTunes so far it seems ok.

Wineandchoccy · 15/11/2018 03:33

@SharonO225 welcome to the group Smile

melissa112 · 15/11/2018 05:33

Thoroughly fed up with getting up in the night for a wee. I feel your pain @Wineandchoccy. I'm so exhausted from getting up so much that I'm in bed by 9 (managed to increase from 8pm..) so from then until now when I'm getting up for work I've been 5 times. I feel run down, head is banging and just exhausted as this is the same every night.

Does the night time wee situation get better or will it only get worse from here on in!?

BadBadBeans · 15/11/2018 06:34

I've been getting up for a wee once a night for weeks and weeks, but the last couple of nights I have slept through till my son woke up at 5.30 / 6. Conversely, I've needed a wee about once every six bloody seconds in the day. I nearly cried the other day as I was out in public and needed a wee but it took me ages to convince my two year old to go to the toilet with me! (I couldn't carry him the distance needed to get to the toilet.) I think it must be the way the baby is sitting at the moment as when I do get to the toilet there is never an awful lot there.

@melissa112 I'm really sorry but I can't remember for definite what the wee situation was like later on! I remember being up a couple of times in the night I think towards the end, but not 5 times- I would remember that as in our old house the bedroom and bathroom were on different floors! Maybe your babe is lying awkwardly right now and will move? I hope so!!

Wineandchoccy · 15/11/2018 08:00

@melissa112 I can’t remember being up as many times last time unless I blocked that memory out so hopefully baby will move soon

Wineandchoccy · 15/11/2018 08:01

@BadBadBeans yes it’s such a lot of effort for a trickle Angry

orangekitkat13 · 15/11/2018 08:15

@Priscilla83 I usually wake up in the night with hip pain on the side I've been laying on, usually my left side. So I swap over and that helps.

SharonO225 · 15/11/2018 08:16

@Wineandchoccy Smile

Gronk27 · 15/11/2018 08:37

Wish me luck off for my flu and whooping cough jabs!

Priscilla83 · 15/11/2018 08:44

@Gronk27 good luck! I had it in left arm and struggled to sleep on that side for a few days. You'll be fine Smile

Priscilla83 · 15/11/2018 08:49

@orangekitkat13 I've been trying to sleep on my left side but wake fairly often to change sides. I've seen that there are belt support things online, has anyone tried them? I've started reflexology so hoping that starts to help.

I was thinking about a dreamgenii pillow as it has a bit for behind your back...at the moment I've the v shaped pillow and try putting a normal pillow behind my back to try stop me rolling onto my back (it doesn't seem to work very well as wake up lying on my back anyway).

Gronk27 · 15/11/2018 09:00

@priscilla83 thanks. There was a big long thread about those of us who hate needles bot sure if you saw but actually it was fine!! I’ve heard whooping cough can ache so I’ll look forward to that!

I’ve got a dream genie and that back support is good but I’ve ended up using it upside down and squishing it all so i’m hugging it and it’s between my legs. As i’ve posted I’m getting terrible leg and hip pains but find having the pillow is a help. I sleep on my back normally so I think that’s the main problem! I think most have said they prefer the big v shaped pillows but the dream genie can stop you wanting to roll back.

orangekitkat13 · 15/11/2018 09:02

@Priscilla83 I have a dremgenii but didn't get on with it. Now have a massive u shaped pillow and it's great.

Priscilla83 · 15/11/2018 09:04

@Gronk27 sorry I didn't see the thread. I struggle to keep up with the conversations on the app.x

cardboard33 · 15/11/2018 09:09

@villagefete you've got the same pushchair as me! But we didn't get the car seat etc bits as we don't need it. We ended up with a mint green carry cot with pandas on it though as it was cheaper than the classic black one at the time, but everything else is black. It was the one where we'd been looking at it in the shop for £749 and then went home and saw the identical package on their own website for £370. Very odd.

For others: Someone else has said it but def check that it isn't cheaper to buy individual items.

@sharonO225 welcome! You're a veteran if this is baby 4 for you! Hope you've got some words of wisdom for the first timers like me. There is a Facebook group here which some people are in. I'm not as I want separation in different areas of my life and find this group lively enough.

@priscilla83 I've got a dreamgenii and it's ok, but wouldn't say it's life changing although I also don't have anything to compare it too. I've found the bit behind your back very hit and miss, mainly because I'm relatively slender build so have to fold the middle several times to make it less than half of the original width so that I don't just fall between the two pillows. That has helped since I started doing that, whereas originally I didn't feel a benefit. I'm hoping that it might come into it's own over the next weeks now I'm getting a bigger bump, as I'm still not able to perch my bump on it like the lady in the photos!

Gronk27 · 15/11/2018 09:13

@priscilla83 it is difficult it to keep up, I just wanted to fill you in on me being a total wimp x

Priscilla83 · 15/11/2018 09:14

I've not been very well so far so have compiled a list of things to buy (not been able to get to any of the baby shows to see things). We were thinking that we might save a few £ with the January sales...or do you think that's a bit risky?

BadBadBeans · 15/11/2018 09:21

@Priscilla83 no I actually think it would be really good timing to get things in the January sales. That is what I will be doing to top up the few bits I need that I haven't begged or borrowed from friends by then. Pram might be one sales purchase for us as we borrowed ours for DS and it has gone back now!

I know this is terrible but I am kind of looking forward to having got through using all the tiny baby things again so that I don't have to store so much any more!!!! The space that I will free up when we are done with Moses basket, baby baths, baby backpacks etc!!! Toddler stuff doesn't seem to take up as much room. Although I imagine teenager stuff is another story...
