I’m so tired I went for an Italian meal with some friends last night and s combination of rich food and a late night I didn’t sleep very well and dd is very excited about advent calendars and Christmas today plus DH is working then only home an hour before going out so it’s going to be a long day

Yeah 28 weeks today and in the 3rd trimester

I'm struggling a bit today. Went for a walk with my Mum and the dogs yesterday. Probably overdid it a bit climbing over stiles and walls and spent all night in pain and this morning sitting down is not comfortable. Feels like someone's whacked me in the groin with a hockey stick. 😣 Think I'll give a physio a call tomorrow! Finding it so incredibly frustrating that I can't do the things I love to do very easily anymore.

Hi all, nice to find some people at the same stage as me. Things have been generally going well so far, but I have been struggling with heartburn quite a bit recently - feel like I’m glugging gaviscon a lot! Sometimes I get a pain in my back like there’s something stuck in my throat too. Anyone else get this?

@Jellybean023 welcome! Yes I get that sometimes too as part of the heartburn, find a combination of rennie before food and gaviscon double action after tends to keep it in check as much as possible!

@Jellybean023 @Murphyrocks ah I've been getting that 'stuck in the throat' feeling too! Asked OH if it was heartburn (he suffers quite badly) and he was like "no no, heartburn feels like fire" But I suppose there must be different types! I hope that means baby will have a lot of hair

@Jellybean023 Yes, have been having quite bad acid reflux for a while as well. So much so that I've been on omeprazole prescription for a couple of months now, which does help a lot. Also trying the spoonful of vinegar in a glass of warm water first thing in the morning trick.

@toastfiend Sorry you're in such pain. Still can't keep my mumsnet/real life names straight, but if you're on the facebook group someone posted links to some good physio exercises for pelvic pain which have helped me a lot. May be worth a go?

@Jellybean023 I have also been on omeprazole for a month or so now, it really helped with my reflux and nausea. Unfortunately, I ran out yesterday so today I'm going free and I'm feeling pretty grim. Note to self: be more organised with prescriptions!

@toastfiend I've overdone it this weekend too. We went away for the weekend and we walked around 9km on Saturday. Stupidly I wore boots with a bit of a heel as they're the only ones I have. My legs and hips are very sore today. We also put up the Christmas tree this afternoon and I've been stretching to decorate it and think I've pulled a muscle.
I too must remember I can't do things as easily as I used to!
My emotions are also out of whack. I'm massively cranky (maybe because I'm knackered and in a bit of discomfort). I also cried because the Christmas lights didn't work. 😂

@AssumeItWasSomethingClever oh my goodness I've been so grumpy lately This morning I decided I was going to make a nice breakfast to surprise my OH, but then I got hungry waiting for him to wake up... so I stormed upstairs and shook him awake and snapped "do you want eggs??" - he was like 'whu, ugh, um, yes?' and I said "right" and stomped away again to make them!! Poor guy

Hi guys, been MIA again as we bounced back to hospital with DS pretty swiftly as his breathing deteriorated. Ended up in there from Wednesday lunchtime to Saturday evening! He had RSV which had turned into a bacterial infection in his lungs. NHS staff were amazing as ever. I do wonder whether perhaps we shouldn't have been sent home on Tuesday morning, but I understand they were swamped and at the time he seemed to be a bit better! He is doing a lot better now though and is very glad to be home. It is quite hard to entertain a 2-year-old in a hospital bed who is tethered to various machines!

Anyway, in pregnancy news, I've started getting leg cramps in my sleep. I had it a bit with DS but I have had two in the last three nights so I really hope it's not going to be a regular occurrence until the birth! Last night's was a bad one; I haven't been able to walk quite properly on my leg today! Anyone else getting cramps? Xx

Sorry your DS was rushed back to hospital again @badbadbeans. Hope he keeps improving.

No cramps but aching and shattered all the time. Definitely mentioning it to the midwife next week as I didn't have this issue last time. Infact around this point last time I ran a Christmas fair and would have walked around 20,000 steps.

@BadBadBeans I'm so glad he's back home safe, fingers crossed this is the beginning of the end of it and the healing process can begin. I've been getting leg cramps too - and toe cramps! So weird that one. I'm another grumpy monkey too, apparently I've been biting hubby's head off all week. Oops.

Baby is really low down today and keeps kicking me on my cervix. (Atleast that's what it feels like!) Has anyone else had this? It's not the most pleasant feeling in the world!

@badbadbeans, so glad DS is a bit better now! It must have been a frightening experience. Hope he continues to improve now.

I get stiffness and occasional cramps as well trying to take extra magnesium which I think helps with it? But it seems a bit worse when I'm going through these random dehydration/thirsty spells as well, so I do think I need to keep my fluids up.

Yes AssumeItWasSomethingClever I've had that when baby is in certain positions.

Hulk seems to have upped his game and has been kicking all day long! I'm not complaining by any means, just rather surprised! Hoping this means he sleeps tonight.

Who else feels like they have increased in size ten fold the last few weeks?! I feel massive today and know there's still a loooooong way to go yet!

@ballanj yes I feel huge and still a way to go. This stage in my last pregnancy I was still in my own skinny jeans no chance I would get them on right now.

I have my 28 week midwife appointment it seems ages since I saw anyone.

@ballanj Yes!! I'm feeling pretty big now. None of my tops fit me now (except from my baggy jumpers). My bump had definitely got a lot bigger over the last 2 weeks and I'm starting to feel a little bit self conscious about my lack of waist.
How much weight has everyone put on so far? if you don't mind me asking.
