Wow thanks for so many replies! I'm
glad it's not just me!
I did wonder about you, powkin, as I remember you saying about hypermobility. I've heard of squeezy but not tried it, I'll have a look.
I've tried to sniff it maxiflump but it's pretty odourless - I drink lots so my pee is dilute though.
It feels like it's coming from higher up rather than vaginally so I think it's ok - just annoying. If it doesn't settle over the weekend I might give maternity triage a call just to see what they say, though I feel silly as I'm 90% sure it's all fine. The 10% is exceptionally naggy though!!

Alicejj8x · 02/11/2018 21:05

@FrowningFlamingo
I literally have to cough at the mo and abit of wee comes out loooool!

FrowningFlamingo · 02/11/2018 21:45

I seem to only need to stand up from sitting Blush
But interestingly that's listed as a 'stress' action on the NCT website!

AliceRR · 02/11/2018 21:46

@Surprisedmom I have wondered that. I’m sure someone on here was saying weeks ago they can distinguish between kicks and punches etc but I can’t. Some movements are clearly stronger than others and some have felt like somersaults but don’t know really.

powkin · 03/11/2018 08:16

@FrowningFlamingo my physio basically says if I’m doing anything at all (getting up, sitting down, stairs, rolling over) then I should be engaging my pelvic floor/abdominals. She said to try and make the effort to activate them before doing a movement and it’ll eventually become a bit more automatic. I’m telling you this but I forget almost every time, so it’s a lot easier said than done.

FrowningFlamingo · 03/11/2018 08:52

@powkin Thank you! I think I will try and remember. I already brace before coughing Blush
I think I should arrange to see a physio, I haven't done it yet but it's fairly inevitable I will need to I think. My hyper mobility has been loads better in the past couple of years but I was aware it would get worse again in pregnancy and I did warn DH I'd probably end up peeing everywhere!! From what you've said previously I think yours is a lot worse than mine - I had to have hip surgeries as a child but have had only relatively minor issues since really, aches and fatigue but nothing that stops me doing anything much. Def feeling it now though!!

emalady · 03/11/2018 08:53

@powkin was that physio for back or did you see someone about pelvic floor? I'm still doing pilates and trying to use my pelvic floor but I'm also getting a bit of leaking, at times it's much worse which I assume depends on baby's position. Was thinking about seeing a women's health physio definitely after the birth and possibly before, think French style perineal re-education sounds like a very good idea.

So... snoring 🙈

I had prewarned my partner that I snore quite badly in the later parts of pregnancy, I don’t think he quite believed me as much as he should have 😂

He spent most of last night on the sofa.. any tips to combat this? I kind of view it as my sleep is already disrupted enough with kicks, heartburn, restless legs, etc. so he should just suck it up.. but, if there’s any easy things I can try then I’ll give it a go I suppose.

He reckons I’ll be the one moving out of the bed if it continues.... 😂😂😂

Yakadee · 03/11/2018 12:14

@NotAsGreenAsCabbageLooking - I haven't yet in my current pregnancy but did from pretty early on in my first. I tried all sorts really, not convinced anything really worked but the nose strips that help you breathe seemed to work best. DH ended up moving into the spare room for the last stretch x

Wames90 · 03/11/2018 14:14

@notasgreen
Apparently my snoring has been horrendous for a while so I’m hoping you get some good tips to stop it! I’ve tried nasal spray, the nose strips and sleeping more upright but it doesn’t help. I don’t even ask if I snored the previous night anymore because I know the answer 😂. My husband also thinks I’ll be moving into the spare room 😂🤷🏼‍♀️

NotAsGreenAsCabbageLooking · 03/11/2018 15:35

Fools they are!!! 😂😂

My top suggestion so far is ear plugs for him! Will try the nasal strips though 👌🏼

emalady · 03/11/2018 16:06

Interesting. We have some ear plugs from travelling, if DH complains about my snoring again I may just find them for him. 😂

fizzledays · 03/11/2018 17:15

So exciting, we ordered the buggy today!! Went with the uppababy vista and so excited 🤗 got the sleep next to you cot as well and some other bits. So nice to be buying things now!

AliceRR · 03/11/2018 17:34

@fizzledays We ordered our pram today too. Just got back and I feel really excited as well! It’s actually been a bit stressful as we’ve had conflicting info about whether the cybex car seats we also got today will be compatible with it but it fits and we got the silver cross pioneer expedition and it’s beautiful 😊

AliceRR · 03/11/2018 17:48

On another note I’m getting / have got ANOTHER cold! I am very runny nosed and have been sneezing a lot and think I’m getting a fever so hope it’s not flu 🤧🙄😫 xx

Alicejj8x · 03/11/2018 18:21

Who here takes a vitamin still like pregnacare or something like that?

I have always taken a pregnancy vitamin but I know a lot of ppl who always stop them at 12 weeks?

Thesnobbymiddleclassone · 03/11/2018 18:25

I e stopped the vitamins as they were making me more sick!

AliceRR · 03/11/2018 18:25

I take pregnacare

Thesnobbymiddleclassone · 03/11/2018 18:27

Those of you on number 2+ has everything happened quicker?

I'm bigger than before but also finding that my boobs are starting to get leaky already!! Not badly, just a little but I'm sure that happens later last time.

AutumnLee12 · 03/11/2018 18:59

With vitamins I stopped taking pregnacare around 14 weeks cos they made me feel ill but my midwife said it was fine and to just take vitamin D daily

FrowningFlamingo · 03/11/2018 19:00

I'm still taking pregnacare. The plus or max, I can't remember. I stocked up at the baby show as it was quite a bit cheaper.
I find taking them in the evening doesn't make me feel sick. If I forget and try them in the mornings they still make me gag.

Ordering the pram is so exciting, it all def feels more real to me now that's here!

Since2016 · 03/11/2018 19:22

Taking pregnacare still.

Not sure re earlier on #2 I’m a lot bigger this time already, but don’t have carpal tunnel, bad swelling or 2nd tri nausea yet... boobs got bigger later too. I’m leaking slightly but not a lot - only noticeable once dried. I’m waiting to see what the 3rd trimester holds... that’s when it got v hard physically with DD. Only 2 weeks to go till I’m officially in the 3rd trimester - it’s FLOWN!

I'm still taking vitamins have forgotten a few days but the combined ones I get from the midwife are small (Scotland every mum to be gets them).

Apparently I've started snoring (with a whistle Blush......) but my husband is a snorer so he just says its my turn lol

AliceRR · 03/11/2018 19:27

DH hasn’t said I snore but there was one night recently where I think I woke myself up twice snoring 🙄

Lulabell1 · 03/11/2018 19:31

Everything is so much quicker this time for me, bigger, leaking boobs, pains and pressure!
