22+5 and baby girl is so so active today. It's the first proper day she's ever been this active
Don't get me wrong she moved abit before this but today I've noticed the movements really start to pick up :)

Alicejj8x · 22/10/2018 18:36

They say the tightness on the bump is Braxton Hicks. I had this a lot last week

AliceRR · 22/10/2018 18:44

I’ve been feeling weak and achey since last week. Felt better yesterday but think I overexerted myself doing housework all day and today felt weak and achey again si stayed home. It’s hard to know when you’re coming down with something and when it’s just pregnancy weirdness

Baby160P · 22/10/2018 19:08

Just had a lovely bath and OH is cooking dinner. Maybe I should be in pain more often 🤔

Yakadee · 22/10/2018 19:38

@Baby160P - that sounds lovely. My DH is out tonight so tea for one and putting my son to bed! X

moonlight1705 · 22/10/2018 19:47

I'm knackered already, I'm in The Mikado (amdram) and its dress rehearsal now so am dancing around.

Costume is doing a good job of hiding the bump but keeping up energy with fruit pastilles. Blush

bubblybrit · 22/10/2018 20:46

@Surprisedmom. I use a hot water bottle at home which does help. Wish I had thought to bring it for this overnight event lol Smile!!

LookingAtTheStars89 · 22/10/2018 22:19

I just had my first "real" braxton hicks! I was laying on the sofa and my bump went really tight, it's not painful but I find I actually have to breathe through them.

AliceRR · 23/10/2018 09:19

Im so clumsy atm! After slipping down the stairs a couple of weeks ago, I walked into a glass door this morning! I was in a revolving door and misjudged when I’d reached the opening and have a small cut on my nose! Can’t really do much (can’t put a plaster on that would look worse) so look like an idiot! 😩

Baby160P · 23/10/2018 11:10

I have a second 20 week scan today in hope for a cooperating baby.

A little worried as haven't had a kick in a while after aches and pains yesterday.

@AliceRR that made me laugh 🙈

AliceRR · 23/10/2018 12:27

@Baby160P I’m an idiot but rather I’d hit myself in the face than my bump!

I think you’ll be fine. I had the same worry the other day but at least you should get some reassurance from your scan today.

Lulabell1 · 23/10/2018 12:37

24weeks today its going to fast!! Iv been signed off work for 2 weeks 2 times iv Fainted at work now feeling very strange doctor said it can be a mixture of stress and tiredness so putting my feet up and started watching all of the desperate housewives boxset again!

Lookingforadvice123 · 23/10/2018 13:00

Any other anterior placenta mamas still not feeling much movement through the day? I'm 22+6 and when I lie down in bed and through the night I feel loads, mostly low down and on the sides like I know is typical of anterior placentas, but quite often really strong ones that I can see and feel from the outside.

In the day however I'm still going what feels like hours with only the odd flicker. I'm not worried at all, as movements are increasing, not reducing, but this is so different from my experience with DS.

Since2016 · 23/10/2018 13:33

@lookingforadvice123 I’m still getting days where she’s v quiet - she’s obviously moved position as almost nothing ‘outwardly’ visible but I can feel them. She has been day time active over the last few days but quieter today. Agree SO different to last pregnancy although I don’t think DD moved much during the day either. So hard trying to work out when to worry!!

@Lookingforadvice123 Im anterior placenta and 23 wks 2day, for the past 2 days ive been feeling way more movement and can see it from the outside now, although everytime I call my dd or dp to feel he stops.. ud think he knew what he was doing lol

Notquiteagandt · 23/10/2018 14:05

@Lookingforadvice123 I have an anterior placenta too. Her routine seems to be up until the afternoon using my cervix as a bouncey castle. Yay! Shes really low down.

Shes certainly more active from about 3pm on wards.

I have started monitoring movement the last week or so. Its reassured me. Its obvious she just doesnt like mornings. Probally the same for your little one Flowers so long as you are feeling movement. Wouldnt worry about long gaps.

Lulabell1 · 23/10/2018 14:22

This baby does not stop moving! He moves a lot after drinking cold fizzy water and thats my craving all the time so that probably solves it

Since2016 · 23/10/2018 14:22

Another one with a V low baby. I’m struggling to cross my legs! And having to raise my chair to fit bump over the desk!

To be honest as weird as it sounds, I find it less worrying, knowing that there's something in the way stopping me feeling all the movements. With DS (I was very anxious anyway) but I felt everything little movement, from early on, so I would panic if I hadn't felt movement for 20 mins, which quite frankly was exhausting!

Knowing that this baby is moving but has the placenta in the way kind of frees me from that worry. As I know he must be moving in the day, I'm just not feeling much of it - the odd flicker.

I'm just wondering if it'll change as I get further along, I imagine it will as the baby gets bigger and stronger, a placenta in the way won't stop me feeling everything.

Lookingforadvice123 · 23/10/2018 15:00

Notquiteagandt it's position for me which changes what I feel, on the weekends if I have a lie in, I feel him move the whole time I'm still in bed, whereas obviously in the week I'm up and out of bed earlier! It's lovely in the night as if I wake up I've got a little companion. I wonder why I can only really feel loads when lying down though. I know this is normal for anterior placenta, but I'd be interested to know the science behind it!

fizzledays · 23/10/2018 15:02

I'm so achey round bottom of bump today... not helped by the fact i slipped in the garden yesterday and bashed my knee! Can feel her moving about and kicking still, so not worried, wasn't a bad fall, but wow it's knocked me a bit! At work today and can't seem to get comfy. gah!!!!

Baby160P · 23/10/2018 16:58

Round 2- 5 attempts at the 20 week scan. Dancing around like a crazy person in between to make him move, sugary sweet and drinks and he was still being awkward but we got there in the end!!!

Anterior placenta wise I was worried I couldn't feel him today but scan shows he is head down and facing my spine so movement wouldn't be felt at the front.

Baby's length was 40th percentile 2 weeks ago and now 90th percentile 😳

Explains the growth pain for me I guess!!!

twiglet · 23/10/2018 17:19

Not a great day for me came close to fainting at work blood pressure had dropped.

Feel exhausted but pgp is bad today so can't nap haven't felt this terrible in a few weeks.

AliceRR · 23/10/2018 17:29

I’m feeling faint often but haven’t fainted yet except when I slipped on the stairs, I’m not convinced I didn’t have a blip there as I didn’t feel myself falling or misstep

I’m posterior placenta and mostly feel movement lying down too

Having said that I do feel it when standing and sitting but just not as much. Thought it was normal for baby to move more when we are still though

Surprisedmom · 23/10/2018 17:35

To those of you feeling faint because of low blood pressure I was told to make sure I drink enough and get plenty of salt. I have found that making myself drink water whenever I wake up in the night (I take a pint glass to bed) then finishing off anything that is left before getting up, has helped somewhat. If all else fails though Coke is a godsend for immediately feeling better, so perhaps take some fizzy pop with you for emergency purposes.
