@ballanj & @iassumeitwassomethingclever what you've said is similar to what I have as it's just on one side (my right looking down, probs about 5cm from my belly button now and at a diagonal angle to the belly button) and generally in the same place. So it's either something completely new that I've never felt before that has nothing to do with pregnancy or the baby doesn't move much/I can only feel it when it's there. Only time will tell I guess!! We had to put our scan back due to work commitments for both husband and I (which have now both ironically been cancelled) so it isn't for another fortnight.

cardboard33 · 23/10/2018 18:23

Also meant to say, there's a photo of Megan on the front of the ES with her bump... She's blatantly more than 12/13 weeks. She looks bigger than me!! And I'd say I've only had a bump at all for the last 2 weeks as we were on holiday less than a month ago and I look so skinny in comparison to now.

My completely uneducated guess is that she's 16+ weeks on the basis of the photos I've seen thus far, although I suppose everyone is different.

ballanj · 23/10/2018 18:50

@cardboard33 I'd have a stab at guessing she's around 14/15 weeks. Mind you with the bloating I had early on I reckon I still looked bigger than her at that stage! Talk about a person to be compared to, I feel positively inferior! Would love her maternity wardrobe πŸ˜‚

AssumeItWasSomethingClever · 23/10/2018 19:57

I completely agree that she looks a lot bigger than 12/13 weeks! But I suppose they couldn't admit how far along she is if that means admitting she was pregnant at the wedding!

Is anyone else still getting cramps? I've got period like pain today and what feels like pressure on my cervix. Just wondering if it's normal

Angelmiracle · 23/10/2018 22:01

@cardboard33 @cardboard33 @Assumeitwassomethingclever definitely a March baby I should add her to the list 🀣

@Assumeitwassomethingclever are you rushing around a lot with your impending nuptials? DS and I were putting Halloween decorations up today. I was climbing stools and chairs hanging things. By time I was finished I was in agony like having pressure down below and sore ligament type pain I had to sit down before making dinner!

I started feeling twitching between 16-17 weeks and have only started feeling proper kicks and rolls over the last 2 weeks - I’m 22 weeks on Friday. My DH felt her for the first time last weekend. Everyone is different so I wouldn’t worry.

PurpleFlower1983 · 24/10/2018 07:09

Royals always announce pregnancy later, I think she’ll be due in March.

cardboard33 · 24/10/2018 08:28

@angelmiracle yes add her to the list!! We can create a due date for her. Maybe that's why they're being vague with "spring 2019" and hoping that she will be a week or so late to keep everyone off the scent.

I know she could be bloated but I also think she's got access to enough medical care and stylists to ensure that she's not overly bloated and she's wearing the most ideal outfits for her shape in a way that we don't so they must have felt they couldn't hold it any longer given the press attention with the tour. She's a very similar figure/shape to me non pregnant so I just think there's no way she's as early as they're making out.

ballanj · 24/10/2018 08:29

@AssumeItWasSomethingClever @Angelmiracle I've been feeling lots of twinges this week, especially yesterday. I think movement is imminent plus I've really popped out this week. Mind you mentioning hanging things and doing stuff in the house, I'm moving in with the OH on Friday so I've been doing lots of packing recently and just moving around more generally indoors this last week or so. Having to remind myself not to lift any heavy boxes!

BadBadBeans · 24/10/2018 08:36

@cardboard33 I agree, I have bump pictures of me wearing a skinny top at 16 weeks with my first and you can't tell I'm pregnant. It could just be the way she is standing, but in those pics of her in the blue dress in Fiji she looks almost as big as I do now at 19 weeks. I reckon she could easily be 20 weeks with a first pregnancy. I estimate a due date of 14th March!

TheWanderlust · 24/10/2018 08:45

@ballanj Your guess matches the Lorraine reporter this morning - they've just said she's 14 weeks

SquirtlesMumAgain · 24/10/2018 09:50

14 weeks still puts her in April (I'm 19 and due on the 20th March and counting on puts her due date around 24th April working on 14 weeks today), and the other thing we really don't know is whether it is actually a first pregnancy (we know there is no child, but that doesn't mean she hadnt miscarried or anything previously), as obviously that affects how big you are looking too.

ladycarlotta · 24/10/2018 10:02

she won't have been pregnant at the wedding either way, that would make her further along than any of us. If she got upduffed the following month (like we all did) she'd only be around 20 weeks. I'm assuming less though, reckon 14-16 weeks is about right.

ladycarlotta · 24/10/2018 10:11

(although I guess they could have waited til 20 week point to officially announce, she is tiny and toned so it's possible she's not showing much. Kate didn't for ages.)

Other news: I had the follow-up scan yesterday after baby failed to cooperate last week and they couldn't get all the images/measurements they needed. It was a nice little bonus and my mum got to come too which was very special. I asked the sonographer (different from last time) to double-check the sex - would hate to get wrongly invested either way - and yep, she's still a girl. Interestingly, sonographer mentioned that my placenta is anterior - I thought it could be, since I have a really strong pulse in my belly all the time, but I guess I've been fortunate in the amount of movement I've felt from early on. This baby loves to boogie.

ballanj · 24/10/2018 10:21

I'm sure there will be even more speculation about Megan the further along she gets! I think though that picture of her in the blue dress might also just be where she's now able to relax a bit now it's been announced. I also think you can look more or less pregnant in the earlier weeks depending on any number of factors. Even now some days I look more bumpy than others at nearly 20 weeks. And as someone else mentioned, she's also got a huge team behind her that means she'll be looking her absolute best and probably had some great maternity undies beneath that dress for sure!

Hermagsjesty · 24/10/2018 10:40

Can I join you, please?! I’m 21 weeks with number 3 - due March 2nd. It’s number 3 - my others will be 7 &5 when the little one arrives. I was aboard very early on - but had really bad morning sickness and scrolling my phone made me worse. Feeling much better now! Excited to have reached the half way point. I am ENORMOUS now - I think because it’s my third.

Priscilla83 · 24/10/2018 11:45

Hi all,

I'm due 1st March with our first baby. It's been a rollercoaster so far. οΏΌ

Angelmiracle · 24/10/2018 12:46

@Hermagsjesty @Priscilla83 welcome to the March thread ladies! I will update the due date list when I get organised this evening. @Hermagsjesty I am a lot bigger with no.2 now!
@Priscilla83 I hope things have settled down for you now and you can relax more.

Welcome @Hermagsjesty @Priscilla83! Great to have you on board the March bus.

Boogie baby @ladycarlotta! So cute. :) Glad all is well with her.

Priscilla83 · 24/10/2018 14:49

Thanks οΏΌ

I was wondering if anyone is planning on (or already started) hypnobirthing classes? Any pros/cons/alternatives?

Murphyrocks · 24/10/2018 14:49

Welcome back @Hermagsjesty and welcome @Priscilla83 - sounds like you've both a rough time but hope you're both doing OK now.

@ladycarlotta yes I'm the same, anterior placenta but still feeling loads of movement, baby was doing somersaults last night I think felt so weird!

AssumeItWasSomethingClever · 24/10/2018 15:08

@Priscilla83 I'm definitely going to do hypnobirthing, probably the positive birth company's online course. I've heard brilliant things about it and it can't hurt to give it a go 😊 which ones have you looked into if any? X

wordsmithereens · 24/10/2018 15:09

@Priscilla83 We're booked to do hypnobirthing in late November (was meant to be this October weekend but rescheduled for some reasons). I felt it was worthwhile because a) local hypnobirthing person is also a community leader/mum hub locally and b) I've had great benefits from mindfulness, so a similar concept to counter my natural 'wants to control/fear-based responses' about labour seems sensible to make the journey smoother. I think risks I see as with any ideology/way of thinking, if you're getting to rigidly attached to it it could be upsetting if your labour doesn't turn out as natural as it could be. But if you approach it as a flexible option that might not come to pass, I don't see how it could do any harm.

Priscilla83 · 24/10/2018 15:14

I'm really interested in it, I did yoga before becoming pregnant. I've found out that the local midwifery team offer a class and I have found another online. There is a price difference of around Β£100. I also thought about nct but paying approx Β£300 for nct & similar for the hyponobirthing. We have a antenatal session booked with the midwife so I thought the hyponobirthing would be a great top up.

orangekitkat13 · 24/10/2018 16:18

@AssumeItWasSomethingClever thanks for mentioning the positive birth company, I knew I'd seen an online course somewhere but couldn't find it! I definitely want to try hypnobirthing but can't afford the classes as we're already booked on NCT which is really expensive!
