'Crack den' - brilliant. I'm sure people would never eat if you listened to every bit of information out there x

stepmummamumma · 01/10/2018 17:33

Thank you!!! You guys have made me feel so much better!!

Celebelly · 01/10/2018 17:33

Although I now want frozen yoghurt and I'm not sure sticking a Fruit Corner in the freezer will be quite the same :(

Yakadee · 01/10/2018 17:35

I've never actually had it - I take it it's just a bit like ice cream? X

Celebelly · 01/10/2018 17:38

Yeah, it's like healthier ice cream as it tends to be less sugary and fatty. And it tastes more yoghurt-y!

Yakadee · 01/10/2018 17:38

Not worth it then? Lol x

stepmummamumma · 01/10/2018 18:45

Just had a small tub with nut sprinkles and it was delicious!! Thank goodness for this group!! 😁

twiglet · 01/10/2018 18:47

Your friend would love me then! I ate wild mushrooms last fully cooked and identified by a professional! A woman on the course with me was horrified!

twiglet · 01/10/2018 18:48

Oops last week!

Baby160P · 01/10/2018 19:05

@BFB6AT I feel your pain we had a private scan at 16 weeks but because I said to OH we will wait for the 20 weeks scan which feel on his birthday we had to shut our eyes so we didn't see anything we shouldn't which was soooooo hard!!!

BFB6AT · 01/10/2018 19:14

@baby160p ah really! Ah I don’t know how I’m going to look away uggghhhh 🙈

Alicejj8x · 01/10/2018 19:30

Does any one have sore ribs

It tends to be if I'm
Sitting funny but my ribs can feel really sore st times

twiglet · 01/10/2018 19:47

@alicejj8x yes I discussed with my physio apparently its very common as your ribcage moves up and out to make space for the baby.

She showed me an exercise where you stand up straight with a breath in stretch down your side bringing the opposite arm in an arch and breath out.
Repeat each side apparently it just helps with the muscles

Alicejj8x · 01/10/2018 19:51

@twiglet
Oh I am
So glad it's ok and common. I was worrying something was seriously wrong

Ahh thank you so so much I shall defo be trying this xx

MrsY87 · 01/10/2018 20:05

@Alicejj8x I've had sore ribs in both my previous pregnancies always on the right hand side and I can already feel it starting again. Annoyingly there is nothing you can do about it other than try and stretch, sit up straight (I found sitting on a ball most comfortable by the end last time!)

bubblybrit · 01/10/2018 20:45

Sorry if this question has already been asked but do you still need to drink a pint of water before your 20 week scan? My letter confirming my appointment doesn’t mention this whereas the 12 week scan confirmation specifically advised me to drink water. Presume it’s not necessary but don’t want to attend and then they can’t get all the proper measurements etc.....thanks all xx

Celebelly · 01/10/2018 20:48

I didn't. At 20 weeks there's enough fluid in and around for them to get a good view. I had a pretty much empty bladder when I went and no issues whatsoever. If the letter doesn't say, then I wouldn't worry.

BFB6AT · 01/10/2018 20:56

@bubblybrit my letter says to drink a pint and a half before the scan! At my first scan the sonographer told me I need to drink more the next time I see him so going to try and do 2 pints an hour before... he said room temperature not cold gets to the bladder quicker lol random!

bubblybrit · 01/10/2018 20:57

Thanks @Celebelly. I was hoping that I didn’t need to attend with a full bladder given that I’ll be driving to the appointment straight from work. I hate driving when needing to nip to the loo!

BFB6AT · 01/10/2018 20:58

Here’s a snip of it

Due Feb 2019 - we’re halfway!
bubblybrit · 01/10/2018 21:00

@BFB6AT. It is so confusing as some people have been advised and others haven’t. Mmm maybe depends on which NHS region you are under!

Thesnobbymiddleclassone · 01/10/2018 21:01

We find out what we're having on Monday. So excited!!

Our baby is loving quality streets tonight!

Lulabell1 · 01/10/2018 21:18

Keep getting random really infected spots that make the area swell iv had 2 on my face and 2 on my leg. They are almost flat but have a hole and i can see so much green stuff inside but unsqueezable so painful and frustrating im never a spotty person but they are defo more than just spotsSad

Celebelly · 01/10/2018 21:21

It can depend on equipment I think. Newer equipment doesn't have the same requirements. For my 12-week scan, I was told to drink no more than half a pint an hour before and the sonographer said that was plenty. Your trust probably just has newer/upgraded machines.

BFB6AT · 01/10/2018 21:25

I was sent back out and had another litre of water and had to go back in as baby was playing up and not staying still and I didn’t have a full enough bladder lol doh! Maybe older machines at my hospital!!
