Maxi and Indix - thanks - I guess I’m looking okay but reckon my butt and other parts will swell as time marches on. To be be honest I’m okay with that, I never got past 29 weeks last time and I worried my diet was in some way to blame so I’m packing on the calories more this time 🙏🏻
Regarding sex Indix, it’s an interesting query, I was told sex with a low placenta was okay and I carried on doing the deed, but they say any pain or blood then absolutely not .. I would hate to think that I’d caused the early delivery by having sex but it’s still something I’m haunted by, I think you have to do what you are comfortable with. I’m having sex about once a week right now and that feels risky (but it’s some of the best I’ve ever had in 21 years with my partner!!!) 😯👍🏻😊 xxx

Alicejj8x · 01/10/2018 13:27

@powkin
I've been told that due date won't change now unless anything is massively out but yeah usually by now due date won't change.

Xx

Alicejj8x · 01/10/2018 13:28

@BFB6AT
@BFB6AT
How exciting 😬😬 mine is 4.15. Nerves kicking in lol
Ahh yeah that's like me I can feel it here and there lol it's nice
Oh lovely baby loves hot chocolate then lol 😍😍

Alicejj8x · 01/10/2018 13:29

@BFB6AT
Sorry pressed sent too early

So they won't usually change dates unless baby is out by weeks they told me ❤️❤️

Notquiteagandt · 01/10/2018 13:42

So I am having a little girl 💖 feels so real now.

All looking good. Shes still very petite (5th percentile) and needs a few extra scans on her kidneys. But nothing to worry about.

Shes going to be a little doll 😍

BFB6AT · 01/10/2018 13:42

@ALICEJJ8X

Ahh that's good news - I've got used to the due date now and trying to arrange my mat leave haha. How are you feeling about the scan? x

Since2016 · 01/10/2018 13:45

Congratulations @notquiteagandt girls are lovely 😊 don’t worry re size, This one is measuring on the 50th and DD’s weight was predicted to be 8-8.5 pounds... she was 9 11 at birth! It’s all guesswork but glad all ok!

Notquiteagandt · 01/10/2018 13:52

@Since2016 oh deffiantly guess work. I am very petite myself so it makes sense. My family have huge babies though so not quite used to a little one. But nothing wrong with being a bit smaller so long as she is healthy all I ask for.

Alicejj8x · 01/10/2018 14:27

@BFB6AT
Ahaha yes it's hard when it's all up in the air with dates otherwise isn't it

I feel ok I just get nervous before any scan and know the 20w one is a big one
Xx

powkin · 01/10/2018 14:30

@BFB6AT I was doing OK but time is dragging so much at the moment! I was lucky/unlucky to have had potential issues that mean I’ve had 2 extra scans so it means I’ve seen the baby “looks” ok from what they have seen but I think this scan will be my all clear that there isn’t anything physically going wrong with the baby. Bit scary.

On a less serious note we are worried we are having a boy because we can’t think of any boys names we both like! One of my best friends is having a girl too and I’d like them to be BFFs! I guess they can always get married!

powkin · 01/10/2018 14:38

@KeepingTheFaith9 - thank you! I got it on eBay for £4.50 Grin. Got a big bundle of basics too so only need a few vests and tights now I think.

BFB6AT · 01/10/2018 14:45

@powkin omg we are the opposite, we cannot agree a girls name or think of any nice ones! OH likes classic and I like different (not whacky though, just a bit more unique).... It's a struggle. We have until Feb to decide as we aren't finding out! I love quite a few boys names though!! x

BFB6AT · 01/10/2018 14:49

@alicejj8x it is a big one, I'm finding the whole pregnancy quite stressful which has shocked me. I like to know everything and make sure I'm informed of anything important and if I don't know, I'll make it my job to learn, so I think I've stressed myself out a bit uneccessarily but I'm feeling good about the scan now :) more excited than anything as bub was bouncing around doing somersaults in there at my last scan, having a right party - I was 13+4 and had to go back in a second time to see if it had calmed down while he scanned another lady lol!

stepmummamumma · 01/10/2018 14:56

So I had some frozen yogurt yesterday a friend messaged me to warn me off and say that she was so worried about me. I didn't think it was the end of the world, I just had a craving and the yogurt place I went to is very modern and clean. What do you guys think? Avoid completely in the future?

Celebelly · 01/10/2018 14:59

Got my whooping cough jab and the lovely nurse gave me my flu jab one too even though I hadn't booked for it!

Celebelly · 01/10/2018 15:01

No reason to avoid frozen yoghurt! The milk will be pasteurised and food premises have high hygiene standards.

Alicejj8x · 01/10/2018 15:30

Flu jab has made me feel like complete 💩💩 all of a sudden. I am hoping this passes

Alicejj8x · 01/10/2018 15:31

@BFB6AT
Oh I know what you mean. I'm like that I love to know what's going on and what's going to happen ahead of the scans and then google is my friend when I don't know something lol
It is very stressful I agree.
Ahh really lol that's nice you got to have another scan thou :)

We had our last one at 17 weeks a private one to get the gender for our gender reveal and that was all ok so hoping Friday is the same xx

powkin · 01/10/2018 16:09

@stepmummamumma - what?! What on earth would be wrong with frozen yoghurt? Your friend sounds a bit intense... “so worried about you”?!

stepmummamumma · 01/10/2018 16:53

Thank you guys...you are making me feel like less of a bad Mum!! It is from the machine rather than scoop if that makes a difference? I am really craving some right now actually but not sure I should have it? Ahhh, why did my friend have to comment!! It makes me second guess everything I do...

Celebelly · 01/10/2018 17:14

The only concerns with it are the same hygiene concerns that come with any kind of food preparation, be it frozen yoghurt places, supermarkets, restaurants, cafes, and your own home. The last few lots of listeria have been frozen veg! It's very rare for listeria to come from food outlets like this as they are all inspected and have to have rigorous hygiene procedures. It's the same argument when people say McFlurries aren't safe - McDonalds' hygiene checklist is incredibly meticulous and you probably have less chance to get ill from eating food prepared there than you do in your own home!

Basically, use common sense, don't buy food from a crack den, just follow the NHS guidelines and nothing else, just smile and nod when people tell you bogus info.

IndiX · 01/10/2018 17:28

@Celebelly 'don't buy food from a crack den' 😂😂😂😂 exactly how I think of all these food do's and dont's!
