June 2019 - The Early Birds

SassehMonsta · 19/09/2018 16:22

Hello there,

A new thread for those who are due in June 2019. The Early bird catches the worm! Or, in my case, the sickness.

Feel free to introduce yourselves and make yourself at home.

I'm Sarah, 28, and currently super-early into my pregnancy at 3+1. This will be my second child, and I have in the past, and currently still do, suffer from HG (severe morning sickness).

So come one, come all, let us start our journey with sticky thoughts! Welcome, to the June 19 bus!

I have a girl too but hoping for another girl.. because, well.. sisters! Smile

pemb · 28/09/2018 15:16

@spottypyjamas
How strange! Are you hoping for a boy this time? X

spottypyjamas · 28/09/2018 15:29

@Penn you know what I can honestly say I don't mind at all. I think dh would say a boy if forced to pick but i know he equally would be chuffed with a 3rd little lady! X

Azure83 · 28/09/2018 22:21

Hi everyone! Got my bfp today after promising myself to wait until af is due (Sun). I have ZERO willpower. This is peanut #2, ds is 21mo. He's a Dec baby and I'm so happy to be having a summer baby this time! God luck to everyone! X

Stormwhale · 28/09/2018 22:23

Hiya, can I join? I got my bfp a few days ago and due date is 4th June. I haven't wanted to join as I had a fear that my bfp was going to be a chemical as my lines were quite faint. However I have tonight got a lovely dark bfp on a first response rapid results test so I'm feeling a bit more positive!

I have been feeling rough since before the bfp and am slightly concerned how I will manage to parent our 4 year old dd when the true sickness hits!

SockQueen · 28/09/2018 22:37

Hi ladies!

I think that I should be in here and not the May group - I have very irregular cycles due to PCOS so this BFP is a very welcome little surprise! By LMP I should be almost 6 weeks with an EDD of 25th May, but based on when I think I ovulated (and only getting BFP yesterday) I think it's more likely I'm about 4 weeks, which would put my EDD at 8th June. Need to talk to the doctors/midwives about how it might be possible to clarify that.

I have a DS who has just turned 2, we used Clomid to conceive him and I'd kind of assumed that we'd go through the same rigmarole again but this one has taken me by surprise!

pemb · 29/09/2018 01:53

@SockQueen congratulations!! X

Kescilly · 29/09/2018 04:17

Welcome @Azure83, @Stormwhale, and @SockQueen!

Does anyone else feel like it’s slightly surreal? I’m having a hard time believing that I’m actually pregnant. I keep wondering if I’ve imagined the whole thing!

RC000 · 29/09/2018 06:58

Definitely feels a dream!

I have a big party later so not sure how to hide that I'm nit drinking...

Also cbd are not cool! I know we conceived in 10th Sept. On tues this week it went up to 2-3 weeks. Obviously relieved. Took one yesterday that went back down to 1-2! Anxiety after googling! Did one 2 hours later that was back up to 2-3 and just done one this morning that is 3+ I need to stop!

mamansnet · 29/09/2018 07:15

RC000 I was at a wedding the day after my BFP. I told the barmaid that any time I ordered a "vodka and coke", she was to make it look EXACTLY like a vodka and coke but minus the vodka!

Best part was everyone thought I was as hammered as them. Next day when I told them all, my mum shrieked 'but you were on VODKA last night!'

In retrospect, coke isn't great for the baby either, but it was better than boozing! Oh and I had to keep buying all the rounds in case I did actually end up with a real V&C, that wedding cost me a fortune Grin

RanchoRelaxo · 29/09/2018 07:45

😂😂 @mamansnet that's great! What a good plan haha I am having friends round in a few weeks and to be honest I'm known for drinking so any excuse I make they will be suspicious, I think I'll get some non alcoholic wine in and then just put it in an empty 'real' wine bottle! Genius! 😂

I booked it at the doctors yesterday and she said I will get a letter through in a few weeks to see the midwife :)
My boobs are hurting and I has waves of sick last night which im actually really happy about, in my head the symptoms mean that it's all going on well in there Grin

@RC000 I would be massively panicking at those tests if that happened, glad you got the 3+ though :)

Hi and congratulations to everyone else who's just joined the thread, hoping for a lovely smooth 9 months for us all

Stormwhale · 29/09/2018 07:56

@kescilly - yes definitely surreal. I am finding hard to believe as I have two different conditions that should mean I struggle to have children. I know I already have a dd, but I had geared myself up for a long journey to conceive again, but we have only been trying since July. I can't get my head around the fact we have been this lucky.

My goodness I feel rough in the mornings. So dizzy and sick. And I'm so off coffee, anyone else?

Ksjourney · 29/09/2018 08:14

(Waves to newer newbies than me in welcome)

So I decided to tell DH before his weekend away. I asked him what is this card which came in the post, he obviously had no clue. He opened it and said 'oh shit are you pregnant' I gave him the present bag with the rest and he said 'I told you they still worked'. Funny. Grin

Littlemissamy · 29/09/2018 08:16

My sickness seems to have all but gone. I’m worried, it’s not a great sign :( it’s too early to see anything on a scan though so I guess I’ve just got to sit tight.
How is everyone today? I’ve already had a shit morning, my car won’t start Angry

Stormwhale · 29/09/2018 08:23

@Littlemissamy - sorry to hear you are having a hard day already. I hope it gets better for you.

SassehMonsta · 29/09/2018 08:32

@littlemissamy I'm on day 3 of seriously reduced symptoms. My nausea has backed off, everything else is a bit meh. My hormones yesterday were horrendous.

RanchoRelaxo · 29/09/2018 08:44

@Stormwhale not off anything yet thankfully! I really look forward to my morning coffee (don't have another one after that) although I'm finding it hard to eat lots, I go through the day just picking at my meals untill I get home from work then it's bam hungry! But still I fill up very quickly

@Littlemissamy and @SassehMonsta I hope your symptoms are just fluctuating, I think that's normal in the early weeks (I'm going off NHS websites and stuff that I've read) x

SockQueen · 29/09/2018 09:13

@Stormwhale this is a surreal surprise for me too! No major symptoms yet, though tea definitely tastes funny, and I get occasional queasy moments. My sickness started about 6-7 weeks last time, I'm so not looking forward to that!

Beautifulblue · 29/09/2018 10:32

Ladies I don't have one single symptom, if it wasn't for the test I wouldn't know. But I'm not particularly worried because I had the same thing with DD & had a healthy pregnancy with her. Obviously it's early days so it's always a bit nerve wracking but I really would try not to worry about lack of symptoms it's not an indication of anything being wrong! I rang my GP yesterday to book in & was told I have to register my pregnancy online now @ mypregnancymatters. I didn't have to do this with my DD 2 years ago so it's a new thing! I went to fill it out but it says not to until you're 6 weeks. I believe that's because the chance of miscarriage significantly drops after that point. I'm 5 weeks today so 1 week to go, hopefully all will be well for us all!

mussie · 29/09/2018 11:11

Can I join?! Can't quite believe it. Got my BFP this morning. Nice to see some names here I recognise! This will be baby #1, and I think I'm about 4+0 by ovulation, 4+6 by LMP. Going to go by LMP until the 12 week scan tells me otherwise I think. So that makes my EDD June 3rd I think!

I have zero symptoms. Not going to call the midwives until at least 6 weeks. Hoping to have the booking appointment at 11 weeks or so - really don't want to risk miscarrying after booking in. Going to get a private viability scan booked for about 8-9 weeks as well 😁 convinced my DH that £50 was worth it for peace of mind and early announcing!

It also feels very unreal for me to! Symptoms are sore boobs, bother me at night, haven’t slept great since I found out and keep dreaming on tiny babies!! Grin I’m 4+5 today. Feeling more tired than usual and think I have constipation! Booked in my first appointment with midwife which is in 4 weeks! Going to be a long wait! So great to hear about how everyone else is doing going through same thing!

fee1234 · 29/09/2018 14:26

I'm 4+5 today too. Had to go and buy a comfortable bra because my boobs have been hurting the past few days! Also did a sneaky FRER to use them up and the test line is now darker than the control line.

pemb · 29/09/2018 15:57

I'm 5 weeks tomorrow, I tested again today hoping to see 3+ but still 2-3. I cannot help myself , I feel I won't relax till 3+ comes to as with my 4 loses in a row it went 2-3 back to 1-2 x

Kescilly · 29/09/2018 16:57

I was looking for the test with the weeks indicator but couldn’t find one. I don’t know if it would reassure me anyway though.

mamansnet · 29/09/2018 17:10

Beautifulblue I'm the same as you - 5 weeks today and not a single symptom. Think I'm going to have to start believing it though, judging by these Grin
