June 2019 - The Early Birds

SassehMonsta · 19/09/2018 16:22

Hello there,

A new thread for those who are due in June 2019. The Early bird catches the worm! Or, in my case, the sickness.

Feel free to introduce yourselves and make yourself at home.

I'm Sarah, 28, and currently super-early into my pregnancy at 3+1. This will be my second child, and I have in the past, and currently still do, suffer from HG (severe morning sickness).

So come one, come all, let us start our journey with sticky thoughts! Welcome, to the June 19 bus!

Congratulations newbies!

@summer28 I'm 31 and first baby too - have you been trying for long? We've been seeing a fertility clinic for the past year and we're about to start ivf so are absolutely thrilled!

@Grainedesesame to be honest I haven't found a way to contain my excitement, other than telling my best friend the news and constantly harassing her and DH with all the info I've found online 😂 I keep buying maternity clothes, looking at nursery ideas etc then trying to reign it in!!

*were about to start ivf. Obviously we're not still planning on it!!

@Torsz I am thrilled for you and very happy to hear that you are 'struggling' with this excitement feeling too. It is really hard to keep it all in and not worry too much.

What maternity clothes did you get? I've been looking at nursery stuff extensively and find youtube vlog super helpful for 'what to get'

@Grainedesesame aw thank you!! I've got some tights and leggings from new look as my bloat was making me uncomfortable, then I went and got some trousers, tops and shorts (they were in the sale!) at H&M - their range is surprisingly nice! Although someone at work just complimented my trousers and now wants to get some, which is awkward as I couldn't tell her they're maternity 😂😂😂

Just back from my scan, everything looks completely fine. Saw the heartbeat, and measuring exactly 6+4 😊 feel much more relaxed now!

@Torsz lol no need for ivf anymore, that would quite literally be throwing money away! Aaaaah I'm really happy for you and what a wonderful stroke of luck to conceive naturally now! We had only been trying for a couple of months - so I realise how lucky I am to get pregnant so quickly, I know that's not always the case! I'm so excited now though xxx

@fee1234 that's fantastic news, I'm so happy for you!

All you seriously sick ladies, I'm right there with you. Mines now gone to a whole new level - I actually woke up in the middle of the night to be violently sick. Never happened with DS 😒

Hi all, I’ve literally got a bfp this afternoon so apparently this makes for an edd of 25th June! I am over the moon! It’s a first baby, I literally cannot believe it

Huge congratulations to all the newbies.

I’m a bit concerned about some discharge. I’ve been poorly today with sickness and diarrhoea and have been laid in bed for the last couple of hours. I was feeling much better so I sat up and felt something very warm and slippery down below. There’s no blood in it, it’s fairly see through but there’s a decent amount of it, I’m worried that it’s my ‘plug’ or something daft.

Also having lower backache (but that could be due to dehydration)

I'm super early but I'm going to say hello, I had a nap thus afternoon and woke up knowing I needed to test.

Not due in til weds so super early but I could be due 25th June.

Baby will be #2 with DS turning 3 in Dec.

Hi all, can I join please? I'm 5+1 and due the 16th of June by LMP. Still getting my head around it.

I have a 9 month old son and suffered with terrible cholestasis of pregnancy with him, so my doctor advised against hormonal contraceptives. My husband and I were using condoms but 3 weeks ago one split, so I went the next day to take the morning after pill. It failed.

I am happy but still in shock. Wishing you all healthy, sticky pregnancies.

Welcome newbies!

@Iswallowtoothpaste I'm sure I read that the discharge is normal and fine as long as not bloody? It's because of the spike in oestrogen I think. If you're worried call the midwife in the morning though, I'm sure they can reassure you! Hope you feel better.

Morning Everyone,

I'm 5 weeks and getting pains in my left side (groin area and just above) and a dull crampy feeling in my leg I'm obviously very worried about this:( I haven't had many symptoms either apart from sore boobs (but not that sore) and I can see veins which were never there before (sorry TMI) has anyone else had this? :(

Report
toasterstrudle · 16/10/2018 07:55

Morning @Curlywurly3 I had the same yesterday, in my right side though. Also had it in my last pregnancy, they got quite sore and I went to epu to check it wasn't ectopic. It wasn't.. If mine continue today I'm going to get it checked again. I'd recommend giving your early pregnancy unit a call just incase, sometimes they want to check but also it can just be the implantation twinges.

Report
toasterstrudle · 16/10/2018 07:56

I mean I went to epu in my last pregnancy to check. If pains are still there today or get worse I'll go get checked.

Report
stayhomeclub · 16/10/2018 08:05

@Curlywurly3 I’m having these too just as you describe, I’m going to give it a day to see if it calms down then if not see about getting checked.

I've just called the EPU and they said go to A&E or see my GP.. I've just booked an appointment with GP for this morning

Report
fee1234 · 16/10/2018 08:38

@Curlywurly3 I had something similar a couple of weeks ago, pain would start in my groin and radiate down into the top of my legs. Turns out it was a UTI. Maybe take a urine sample with you to GP and ask them to dip test?

Report
rollerskaterdata · 16/10/2018 08:55

@Curlywurly3 I've had that on and off, turns out it was a UTI and the beginnings of sciatica (joy!). Your GP will give you pregnancy safe antibiotics to take if it is, hope it gets resolved quickly.

On another note, we're going to need a new thread once we reach 1000 posts. Shall we start a new one or has everyone moved to Facebook? I don't have Facebook so happy to start a new one and chat to anyone still remaining here!
