@SurfingOwl yes please! I'll PM you in a sec

frankiefumbles · 18/09/2018 18:58

@SurfingOwl also congrats! Scan envy

MrsReader · 18/09/2018 19:06

Aww lovely scan pics ladies 💖

Teladi · 18/09/2018 19:08

Lovely scans! Really happy for you ladies!

I've PMed you SurfingOwl Smile

MynameisJune · 18/09/2018 19:14

Congrats on good scans @surfingowl and @boomkapow

You’ve all made me want an early scan so I’m booking one for the beginning of October so I’ll be around 8 weeks.

Mcdonald234 · 18/09/2018 19:17

Nausea has lifted for me but I'm not too worried as my progression on clearblue is good and still no period. I have no big symptoms apart from weird mood swings, crying for tiny reasons then over the top excited and full of energy. It's making me exhausted!

Does anyone exercise regularly? How are you changing your work out routine? I've been really nervous in the gym!

Mcdonald234 · 18/09/2018 19:21

Congrats @boomkapow and @SurfingOwl that's so exciting!

MissSmith80 · 18/09/2018 19:23

Lots of lovely updates today and welcome to new ladies. Thanks for the new thread too x

Lorrie3 · 18/09/2018 19:27

Hi ladies just found this can i join here. 8 weeks but only found out on Sunday!! Due April 30th

Popsalot15 · 18/09/2018 19:29

@zoClueless I feel the same in a similar predicament. A colleague left today and I even got the, you must never leave statement thrown at me! I will leave it a few days after that comment but again I don’t want to use it as an excuse for my general tiredness and absence to the loos. I just want to add a bit of background and hopefully my LM will stay zipped until 12 weeks.

MauisLeftNipple · 18/09/2018 19:40

Mcdonald234 I no longer go to the gym, but did in my previous pregnancies. I just stuck to my normal routines. Sickness, pelvic girdle pain and exhaustion naturally caused me to do less on (many an) occasion. My PGP was particularly bad in my 3rd pregnancy so I rarely went to the gym. Currently I walk the school run as quick as I can for my cardio, and do hand weights a couple of times a week if I have time.

CoffeeWithMyOxygen · 18/09/2018 19:43

I’m still waiting on my GP registration, it’s been over a week now since I submitted the registration form! Might need to give them a ring anyway as the website really isn’t clear if I can book straight on with the midwife who’s based there or if I have to via a GP.

I keep wavering about an early scan. I can’t shake the fear that it’ll show nothing there.

MynameisJune · 18/09/2018 19:52

@coffeewithmyoxygen I’ve got the same fear, haven’t felt sick at all the last two days. No symptoms other than crying at stupid things (nothing new) and tiredness. Work let me leave early today and I came home and slept on the sofa again. Not inspiring confidence even though I got no symptoms with DD until 6 weeks.

Firstbornunicorn · 18/09/2018 20:17

Congrats to all who had scans today!!! You must all be delighted :)

Falalafel · 18/09/2018 20:22

Congratulations everyone! 6+5 with first baby (can’t believe it still). One week since our BFP ... feeling very tired and nauseous! I’m so bloated I look pregnant already!!! Anyone else feeling and seeing their body changing this early?? Smile

frankiefumbles · 18/09/2018 20:27

@Mcdonald234 I made it around a 2.4 mile swim and 70 mile bike ride a fortnight ago on the day my period was due. Couldn't finish the end of the bike ride or the run 😂 too knackered. I haven't done much since in the last 4/5 days but I've got another 2.4 mile swim next weekend and a marathon booked beginning Nov so only time will tell how things go. From what I understand, as long as you are exercising within your normal boundaries, you respect your body - if it feels too much then stop and you don't do high impact stuff then you should be okay. Everyone tells me not to be active but I actually went to see the consultant last time and he said no problem with the triathlons if they fit in to your normal active range. No idea re weights as that's not my thing. I'm going to have a test swim tomorrow to see how it goes.

Last time I noticed a distinct (and catastrophic!) drop in my aerobic capacity and power. I could barely ride my bike five miles and walking upstairs was too much for me. So I didn't ride more than 5 miles and I took the lift. I feel this one isn't quite as debilitating though.

kiltedsheep · 18/09/2018 20:46

@SurfingOwl and @BoomKapow Congrats!!! What a relief. Although I also admit to having scan envy now 😄

@frankiefumbles Bloody hell! Respect ✊! And I can barely push the buggy up a hill while DS is sitting in it. I really do want to carry on doing the (short) runs I did pre-pregnancy, but I'm just so exhausted by work and looking after DS that I can barely keep my eyes open

Lorrie3 · 18/09/2018 20:47

@falalafel first baby here too and still totally shocked!! Wasn’t really planned just yet but while we’re getting our heads round it we’re happy! I’m the same as you thought it was all in my head but I’m definitely noticing my tummy change I really can see it looks very bloated and developing a shape. I would have been slim enough but not skinny by any means and I do a lot of exercise sessions so maybe that’s why I can see it

goldopals · 18/09/2018 20:56

@Mcdonald234

I'm not going to the gym at the moment (very rarely if ever go), but I do work out at home. I do boxing workouts from Popsugar. I have had to cut down to half an hour work outs as I'm too tired and think I'll have to cut down even further when I'm bigger

Falalafel · 18/09/2018 21:04

@Lorrie3 so pleased it’s not just me! Ours is a little surprise too, although should of anticipated it really looking back Blush lol That could be it...I’m a bit pudgy though and there’s a difference in my body for sure. It’s exciting! Flowers

seeingdots · 18/09/2018 21:05

Congrats to you guys who had scans today! Looking forward to seeing more of these little beans as the weeks plod on!

SassehMonsta · 18/09/2018 21:14

Exciting! Re: body changes, I was in stretchy maternity jeans at 6 weeks with my first pregnancy. Everything felt too tight!!

frankiefumbles · 18/09/2018 21:21

@kiltedsheep note the difference between intended exercise and actual. I've done nothing but have stuff planned 😂

Ladies. Talk me through the Flo app. It has two settings.

Completed
Vs
Current

Which should I be using? I should remember this but I don't and I've totally confused myself...

Mcdonald234 · 18/09/2018 21:22

@MauisLeftNipple I'm hoping I can stick it for a while but I mainly lift weights so there are a lot of things I can't do that my trainer has taken off my plan.

@frankiefumbles Wow a marathon, well done you! I think you just have to listen to your body and not exert yourself too much! A 5k is as much as I can manage and I've dropped my weights so they are no more than 20kgs. Can't do any swinging motions at the minute! I suppose as long as we are active that is all that matters!

Lorrie3 · 18/09/2018 21:38

@MauisLeftNipple how far along are you. I’m 8weeks +4 and I do semi personal training I’m back training after a week away in the morning and haven’t told my trainer as we haven’t told anybody yet. We do weights could be 40-80kg depending on movement and kettlebell swings and a hold host of other things and cardio. I didn’t want the girls in my group to know but I’m guessing I should prob tell my trainer and hopefully the will respect my wishes not to blab!!
