@inkworks273 ha, no, i was only on for a few stops and was getting off at the next when she offered. Bodes well for later on when I'll need it more I guess!

earlybirdhasanap · 17/09/2018 21:16

Hi, I'm 29 sand 5+6 with no 2.
Feeling very nauseous and stroppy. A lot of eye rolling went on today at work when people were pissing me off Blush.

dreaminofholidays · 17/09/2018 21:35

@pebblespony the clear blue digital tests give you a pregnant and an estimated number of weeks from conception, either 1-2 weeks, 2-3 weeks or 3+ weeks.

Hope that helps and please feel free to correct me if that's wrong xxx

SurfingOwl · 17/09/2018 22:08

@Dimblebimble definitely go but I’d try to get the earliest one possible. I saw the play last year and would go again. It was great.

Hope everyone is doing ok. I’ve got my scan tomorrow. Eek!

fadgadget · 17/09/2018 22:17

Just found the new thread and came on over.

At 7+2 and I am now feeling really rough and it’s all day long, sleeping badly and feel sick all through the night when I wake. Dog tired. Managing not to throw up so far but the nausea is so debilitating. I’m getting nothing done at work and just keeping my head down hoping no one notices how crap I look.

Also feeling really grumpy as it’s been 3 weeks since I left details for midwife at GP and still no one has contacted me even to make a booking appointment. It would be nice for someone to at least acknowledge it (I think I’m having hormone grumps in case you can’t guess). I did call the community liaison number I found online and they said sometimes the midwives wait until around 8 weeks to make contact. It’s my first so this is all news to me...

MrsReader · 17/09/2018 22:23

Hi again all. I'm 6+5, first baby. Suffering awful nausea all day and night 😭

DH is actually being so lovely despite me laying around whining constantly!

UntilTheVeryEnd · 17/09/2018 22:44

@Popsalot15 my DH doesn’t understand why I’m sick throughout the day - it’s called morning sickness after all Confused I obviously didn’t get the memo.
You would think with this being our third time on this train that he would “get it” by now!

He also pointed out that I was getting a bit spotty today - have I not been washing my face? Hmm could have slapped his oh so cute face at that wee nugget!

UntilTheVeryEnd · 17/09/2018 22:45

@SurfingOwl scan buddies Grin

MrsReader · 17/09/2018 22:48

@UntilTheVeryEnd 😂 not very tactful then haha. My DH is normally insensitive so I'm shocked! Probably won't last tho 😆

frankiefumbles · 18/09/2018 02:01

I've just had the elusive 3+! I'm over the moon. I've been more than 5 weeks pregnant before...but never managed to see this. Feels like the first good news I've had and whilst I know one can't rely on the clearblues too much, wonderful to see! Now I'm feeling more thankful the dog woke me up at 2am for her morning pee!

dreaminofholidays · 18/09/2018 03:43

@frankiefumbles that's brilliant news. I just woke up (I can no longer sleep through without insomnia or needing to pee) and also got my 3+ so fingers crossed things are progressing. Will stop testing now, all being well I will have an early scan

xxx

SassehMonsta · 18/09/2018 06:00

Tentatively joining as got a very faint line this morning, which would put me at around 3 weeks and due first week of June. Super early, period not due for a week, but can't shift my "bug". Suffered from HG previously and it's feeling very similar already! Stemtil at the ready.

Hi!

SassehMonsta · 18/09/2018 06:03

Oh yes, I'm 28, and this would be dc2. I have an almost 4 yr old DD. The next few weeks at work will be manic as it's year end and we are down from 5 to 3 staff. Funfun

SurfingOwl · 18/09/2018 07:10

Hope your scan goes well @UntilTheVeryEnd.

Great news @frankiefumbles

Congratulations and welcome @SassehMonsta

Teladi · 18/09/2018 07:44

Hi all, just placemarking in this new thread. I'm 33 and 4+6 (ish) with DC2.

Congrats to the newbies!

Mejse · 18/09/2018 07:52

Hi everyone! I have been a bit quiet recently but I'm still keeping up.

I'm 27 and 8 weeks with my second. Ds will be 2 in January and I have a Dss who is 10.

I'm a bit of a grump at the moment, sleeping terribly, lots of nausea and sickness. Ds has a cold and has been up loads the past few nights then up for good at 5. I have now managed to catch his cold and I have no idea what I can take for this awful sore throat.
We live in Copenhagen and I have family visiting this week too so I don't even have time to rest up.

My apps are saying that the placenta taking over more this week should make the mood swings calm down a bit, I really hope that's true!

rosettesforjill · 18/09/2018 08:06

Congratulations @SassehMonsta! Sounds like we'll have a similar age gap - DS will be 4 on 11th October Smile

Has anyone confided in anyone at work yet? I am not sure whether it may add a bit of clarity to my nausea and added irritation at inefficient work colleagues?

goldopals · 18/09/2018 08:51

I told my line manager, but no one else. I felt if something happened, she'd be a good person to tell as she could help me get time off, etc

seeingdots · 18/09/2018 08:52

Place marking! I'm 34, 8+5 with my second. DD is 2.

So spotty right now!

Teladi · 18/09/2018 09:31

I meant to ask @pebblespony how telling your manager went as you'd mentioned it.

I work part time and am only in with my colleagues twice a week so I'm hoping I might be able to get away with more for longer this time. I'll be amazed if I make it to 12wk with no one guessing, I was huge at the end last time so I imagine I'll be showing early this time.

frankiefumbles · 18/09/2018 09:38

@dreaminofholidays I'm so pleased for you! I hope you're as pleased as I am :)

@Mejse I've found that even just lying down for five minutes can make a difference when you are feeling stressed. It's so tough when you've got family but you could nip upstairs to "look for something" (ie your sanity...haha...sorry!) and actually have a moments lie down. Better than nothing!

Amazed we've got people at 8+ weeks here already! I feel so far behind ;) congrats on your line @SassehMonsta

LittleTipple · 18/09/2018 10:41

Question on dates....Going by first day of miscarriage bleeding I'm 6+1, but I know I ovulated a week late around CD20, so going by this I'm only 5+4. I don't know whether to see midwife based on earlier or later dates? I don't want to go for scans and be told I'm a week behind etc, when I know I ovulated late....

The hangover feeling has hit me today. Why is it we forget how awful the feeling is and then bam it's back. Have eaten so much this morning to make me feel better!

Turtle05 · 18/09/2018 10:54

The Nausea hit me so hard a few days ago, I've even had to stay off work but that's not a long term solution!
Any advice? I'm not being sick much, just feeling it. I've found that eating dry crackers helps but that's all at the moment. Any wonder cures anyone's found?!

earlybirdhasanap · 18/09/2018 11:09

Pretty much everyone at my work knows nowI think, certainly all the senior staff and a few of the junior staff too. I still haven't told my mum so I'm feeling really bad about it. Needs must for work though as every single shift I've had since finding out I'm pregnant I've had to do something I can't when I'm pregnant.
I'm not telling anyone outside of work until 12 weeks though. My Mum was so worried last time as I've had 3 mc before dd she just couldn't relax so I'm hoping to not let on earlier if possible.
