Congrats @Niftyknitter! Makes me very excited for the scan!

Okay, is anyone else having barely any symptoms?! Aside from extreme fatigue and bad constipation I have nothing! Slightly sore boobs that have grown a little but absolutely no morning sickness whatsoever.

I heard it's a bad sign not to have any nausea, but I've seen the baby's heart beat and it was measuring on track last weekend.

While I'm glad I feel okay I also kind of wish I didn't so that I felt more pregnant!

Popsalot15 · 15/10/2018 13:35

@Firstbornunicorn this made me laugh. Perhaps she also carries ginger biscuits in her purse?

Re signs, mine have stopped bar one thing. My boobs and nipples are huuuuuge (sorry tmi)

lifechanginglemoncake · 15/10/2018 13:43

I'm the same as you @Dimblebimble - symptoms seem to be diminishing and I'm trying not to worry.

I was getting nausea and off certain foods but this week I've been eating more normally and feeling fine. I'm still incredibly tired though so I'm taking that to mean all is still as it should be.

I feel very lucky I haven't been sick or nauseous most of the time but it's hard to ignore the niggling anxiety that something is amiss.

Got my booking in appointment on 29th and no scan date yet so it's a long time until I'll get any evidence of how things are going. Holiday next week though so I'm hoping that will take my mind off things and relaxing will do me good.

Firstbornunicorn · 15/10/2018 14:35

@Popsalot15 she probably has a team of people to dish out the ginger biscuits!

My symptoms aren't as bad as they were. Haven't vomited in nearly a week. Fatigue is still an absolute killer and I think it's getting worse. I wouldn't wish the horrible all-day sickness on anybody - be glad if you don't have it!

Amolly · 15/10/2018 15:08

Same boat as you all with the dwindling symptoms. I still can't eat loads but my nausea has almost disappeared. Every now and again I get slight pain in my boobs. The only constant is being tired and tummy cramps. Not had a scan yet so I'm so worried that by the time I do .... I just hope baby is growing ok x

lifechanginglemoncake · 15/10/2018 15:28

I've told my DH to reassure me when I get stressed by pointing out:

  1. We have no evidence everything is not fine
  2. Very good chance everything is fine
  3. We can't know until we know and there's nothing we can do to change it now.

Sometimes I find it very helpful and other times the anxiety persists anyway but I am trying to embrace the not knowing and just go with it.

FrazzyAndFrumpled · 15/10/2018 16:03

Hellooo please can I join? I’m 11+2 with DC2, due 4 May. I’ve got my scan next Thursday... can’t wait!

I’ve been suffering with a cold for nearly 3 weeks, which turned into an ear infection and hospitalised me last week. Still feeling pretty rubbish, but just trying to get on with life!

CatflapFlapjack · 15/10/2018 17:15

Hello, can I join too please? I’ve been reading through the threads for the past few weeks and finally caught up.

I’m 32, 10+4 and due 9th May. This will be DC2 for me - already have a DS who’s just turned 2.

Glad to hear you’re all feeling the same as me, I have been really nauseous 24/7 without actually being sick (same as last time) although my symptoms have eased off the last few days, despite my Pregnancy+ app saying Week 10 tends to be bad for morning sickness. Hoping it’s not a bad sign!

Dimblebimble · 15/10/2018 17:32

Glad it's just me that doesn't have major symptoms! That's good advice @lifechanginglemoncake Smile

I wish I could ask my sister what her symptoms were like but dh doesn't want me to tell her in case she tells her partner and he blabs (he probably would!)

Hello, congrats and welcome to the newcomers Grin

Beckyv88 · 15/10/2018 18:39

Can’t believe Meghan is stealing our thunder Halo

MissSmith80 · 15/10/2018 20:14

@CatflapFlapjack we are due date buddies (although not having my scan for a couple of weeks at which stage it wouldn't surprise me if the dates change). Welcome 😀

CatflapFlapjack · 15/10/2018 20:32

Hi @misssmith80 due date buddies for now anyway. They put my due date forward by over a week last time following my scan, but DS was then 9 days ‘late’ Hmm - I think my dates were more accurate!

Queeniepoos · 16/10/2018 00:32

Hiya ladies. I'm 38, 9+1 with my 2nd & really not liking the severe 24/7 nausea. I had none at all with DS1 but that was 11years ago. Maybe I'm just older & wimpier? Lol.

bumblebee39 · 16/10/2018 02:34

7+2 roughly I think. Trying to get excited. I swear I can feel little butterfly movements already.

dreaminofholidays · 16/10/2018 06:17

Welcome to all the new joiners.

Does the EDD you are given at the 12 week scan replace any other dates?
Can it change again after that?

xxx

rosettesforjill · 16/10/2018 06:47

Welcome new people - congratulations!

@dreaminofholidays the date at your scan is the one you would have for the rest of your pregnancy, as far as I'm aware.

frankiefumbles · 16/10/2018 07:23

@lifechanginglemoncake I was going to ask you what a mon cake is. I'm clearly really too tired to be on the forum.

I assume Meghan must have hit the magic 12 weeks if she's announced? Did they plan her wedding around her ovulation so their honeymoon shag was the one that did the business. Harry must have some good swimmers lols (puke)

Filouise · 16/10/2018 07:40

Morning All!
Welcome to all the newcomers and congratulations!
I had my midwife appointment on Friday and she changed my edd to the 17th although im guessing that'll change with the scan again... I'm really struggling to sleep at the minute and when I am asleep I'm having the most strangest dreams is anyone else the same? I actually don't know how I'm functioning and have got a full day of lectures now as well 😒..
Hope you all have a happy Tuesday! X

FrazzyAndFrumpled · 16/10/2018 08:15

dreaminofholidays, yes the EDD given on your 12 week scan is the one they will use going forward in your pregnancy.

Filouise I also have very odd dreams. If they’re not overtly sexual (porn!) they’re about me on some kind of espionage mission to “find out the truth!” Grin

Firstbornunicorn · 16/10/2018 08:54

@frankiefumbles or was she up the duff already on her wedding day???

Just jealous of how good she looks. I was all proud of myself last night for having a bath through the fatigue. Clearly she's either not suffering that way or has a team to help her overcome it!

fadgadget · 16/10/2018 08:59

Very odd dreams here too. I briefly thought my nausea was subsiding but the last few days I've felt pretty grim again, though I still haven't been physically sick. I hope I'm not one of those people who's just mildly sick for the whole pregnancy.

MynameisJune · 16/10/2018 09:29

If Meghan was pregnant at her wedding she’d by due Jan/Feb. I’m sure I read she was 12 weeks, so I think mid April she will be due.

Beckyv88 · 16/10/2018 10:46

Weird dreams here too! Last night I had a dream my dad killed a giant crab and was really upset about it. Sure...

Firstbornunicorn · 16/10/2018 11:39

@MynameisJune I'm bad at maths 😂
