I’m going to have the NIPT but it won’t be until my 12 week scan.

I’m still worrying that my symptoms have completely stopped. I feel fine now, although very lazy but I think that is just me rather than a symptom! Although occasionally I keep convincing myself I can feel movement, even though I know that is not the case and it is much too early!

Filouise · 09/10/2018 16:55

@sprinkleofsunshine my tiredness is really intense especially at work but something as little as a twenty min snooze on the sofa helps though that's probably becauseI haven't been sleeping well at night at all.. I do have very little energy though even the school run is knackering me out 🙄
@surfingowl..I keep thinking I can feel movements too even though I know it's too early

earlybirdhasanap · 09/10/2018 16:58

My tiredness is off the chart but I've also got insomnia, a toddler that still wakes up and then I randomly woke from a deep sleep to be sick for 2 hours last night.
I've managed a nap when my dd napped today though and my lovely mum has now taken her for the night so I can sleep before work tomorrow.

Firstbornunicorn · 09/10/2018 17:54

Tiredness off the charts here too... Really struggle to do things like get a shower etc. But then I've had pretty much every symptom 😂

sprinkleofsunshine · 09/10/2018 18:09

I was just a bit not worried but Hmm that I wouldn't call mine 'tiredness' as such but just very low energy and everything seems to be hard work! Grin

frankiefumbles · 09/10/2018 19:41

@zoClueless technically you can assume all is okay. That's what everyone told me (I've had two early MCs) But I was having none of it!! I didn't tell DH and went for a scan the day before I left for a fortnight of travel (including a long haul flight the day after). I couldn't have handled being away without having seen that scan. It was hugely reassuring for me. As I said l, feel confident that all is okay!

But if you can't, get the scan done. In the scheme of things the £100 isn't a massive amount (two dinners out, or maybe don't buy the clothes you might have done whilst away, or money saved on alcohol!?). I NEEDED to know if I was going to miscarry on that flight. The scan can't predict the future so it'll never be able to tell you what will happen in 5/4/3/2 days times etc but you can have a good level of security that nothing will go wrong during the flight.

In the end DH was over the moon to see the tiny blob on the scan x

Popsalot15 · 09/10/2018 20:08

@sprinkleofsunshine this sounds like me before pregnancy lol

Not too much difference here- if anything, I feel like a teenager with all my spots and ability to cry on demand! If there are any adverts on tv tonight with animals on, I am a goner lol

SurfingOwl · 10/10/2018 12:30

@zoClueless is have another scan for peace of mind.

ZoeOutdoors · 10/10/2018 14:21

The tiredness is unreal! I fall asleep at 8 and still wake up in the morning feeling like I've not been to bed. I try and do jobs round the house and I keep having to sit down!

I had been alright keeping the worrying at bay since my scan date came through but now my doctors have called, they want to repeat my blood test from my booking in appt as it showed a bacterial infection. I hope the fact that they took 2 weeks to tell me means it's nothing to worry about but it's set my brain in overdrive again.

zoClueless · 10/10/2018 16:36

@frankiefumbles and @SurfingOwl thanks. I have booked one for tomorrow evening. DH thinks it's unnecessary still but said if I think it'll help me enjoy the holiday then to just book it. It's made me feel lighter all day to know I'll have an update by the end of tomorrow.

@ZoeOutdoors - as you say, if they've waited 2weeks to call you back then there's no way it can be serious. Good luck with the next lot!

frankiefumbles · 10/10/2018 17:37

@zoClueless good to hear he's chosen to support you. Much easier that way! Let us know how it goes. I'm sure it's all fine but it's lovely to be reassured

sprinkleofsunshine · 10/10/2018 17:57

Hi all.

I had my early scan today, thought I was 7+6 based on lmp although I know we dtd and I ovulated 1-2 weeks later.

Anyway, hosp said they could see sac and I was measuring 4.5mm around 6 weeks, no hb but wouldn't expect to see one yet. They've told me to go back next week for another and it's 50/50 as to whether or not it will continue. Sonagrapher told me to prepare myself for the worst Sad

Trying to be positive but so disappointed. I'm not giving up until I know for sure but so anxious and I'm still getting all my symptoms so confused.

Shazafied · 10/10/2018 18:06

@sprinkleofsunshine hopefully you are just a week or so behind what you thought and you'll see the HB next time. Fingers crossed for you xxx

SurfingOwl · 10/10/2018 19:17

Oh @sprinkleofsunshine what a worrying time for you.

Hope it all goes well tomorrow @zoClueless.

sprinkleofsunshine · 10/10/2018 20:23

Thank you, going by my dates of ovulation and dtd I would only be 6 weeks so I'm hoping so much it's just that.

The uncertainty is horrible though I'm an anxious person anyway.

SurfingOwl · 10/10/2018 20:48

Lots of places say they will only scan when you are seven weeks plus @sprinkleofsunshine because it is quite normal not to see a heartbeat in the 6th week. It sounds like your dates match up with what you saw today and it’s always better to go with those than LMP. I’ve got everything crossed for you.

sprinkleofsunshine · 10/10/2018 20:57

Thank you @SurfingOwl hopefully that's it.

I think what's making me more anxious is that the sonographer was so 'it could be either way but err on the side of not good' whereas the lady afterwards who went through it was much more it's 50/50 it could be for x,y,z reasons. However the sonographer didn't have my dates only going by lmp which of course I'm nearly two weeks out from so ok hoping that's the reason for his reluctantness.

Appreciate the lovely words all Smile

SurfingOwl · 10/10/2018 21:12

Going by your LMP then I can see why your sonographer wouldn’t be holding out much hope but by your dates, everything can still be absolutely fine.

L0kiWh0 · 10/10/2018 21:15

@sprinkleofsunshine when was your lmp and when did you get your positive pregnancy test? You’ll be able to work out from that if they’ve made a mistake with your dates.

They always add on 2 weeks because for the first two weeks of your pregnancy your not actually pregnant Iyswim, for example, I’m 8+1 today, my lmp was the 14/08 and I got my positive on the 07/09 at 10dpo, so I know that my dates are correct because I wouldnt have got a positive test that early otherwise.

sprinkleofsunshine · 10/10/2018 21:30

Hi @L0kiWh0 first day of lmp was 16th August, 3 day period then got positive test on 6th sept.

L0kiWh0 · 10/10/2018 22:13

So you would have ovulated around the 26/27th August at the latest to get a positive hpt on the 6th?

So you are 6+2 from conception and 7+6 from Lmp.

sprinkleofsunshine · 11/10/2018 08:22

@LokiWho that sounds about right because I felt what I thought was ovulation on the 27th. My app says 28tj and it's usually only out by a day or two.

In that case the hospital dating me at around 6 weeks ish is correct? In my head it's logical and I shouldn't worry just yet but so hard to feel anxious. As I said I think the main concern from them was them I was not the 7+6 they estimated from my lmp but I knew that.

L0kiWh0 · 11/10/2018 08:32

It depends on when they measure if they add on the 2 weeks at the beginning or not, Iyswim.

sprinkleofsunshine · 11/10/2018 09:49

@L0kiWh0 I'm not sure I understand sorry. I think that's what confused me yesterday as he seemed certain something may not be right as my measurements don't match the dates going by my lmp but from conception (which he wasn't aware of the dates) they appear to be correct- I thought the scan would be the correct method and the going by lmp is used as a guide until they date you?

SassehMonsta · 11/10/2018 12:38

My LMP was 28th August, ovulated and dtd 5th Sept, got bfp on 17th. my LMP I'm around 6 weeks, but by ovulation date Im 7+1.

Scan in a couple of weeks to see which is closest!
