Firstborn, I found weeks 9-11 the worst. Sorry! Gets better again soon, hopefully.

I have eaten my lunch at work at 9.30am.

SurfingOwl · 05/10/2018 11:25

@sprinkleofsunshine can you contact your local EPU and see you if can have an early scan for reassurance?

How is everyone? I have no energy to do anything. I’m so tired!

Firstbornunicorn · 05/10/2018 11:35

@sprinkleofsunshine oh I do hope everything is ok! I've had tiny amounts too and all fine as far as I know. Keep us posted!

Firstbornunicorn · 05/10/2018 11:36

First day back at work today. Lasted an hour as apparently being sick at your desk makes you a health hazard. Rude!

sprinkleofsunshine · 05/10/2018 11:56

Thanks all! Trying not to worry as so little amounts and coming and going. I'm in work but been spending most of the day in the toilet plus someone just walked in on me being sick and was calling out asking if I was ok Blush bless.

I was thinking of ringing gp/Epau but I wondered if it was a bit premature and they would turn me away? I would say it has been (sorry tmi) less than 10 times of wiping and it's small odd dots. None of have been bright red they are like a light orange red but not brown which is what made me panic.

SassehMonsta · 05/10/2018 12:07

If you are panicking, give them a call. They should be able to reassure you or ask you to come in as they feel necessary.

Dimblebimble · 05/10/2018 12:07

@sprinkleofsunshine I had this the weekend before last when I was 5 1/2 weeks. Red dots on the tissue, however it only happened to me once on a day when I'd overexerted myself physically. I had an early scan at 6 weeks (- previously arranged scan for pcos, not related to the pregnancy) and the baby was there with heartbeat. As far as I know everything is still okay at 7+2

If you are worried you can ask for an emergency doctors appointment and they will refer you to the epu if you say it's making you really anxious

MynameisJune · 05/10/2018 12:26

@sprinkleofsunshine ring your EPU, being over 6 weeks they’ll scan you just to check everything is okay. Try not to worry it could be absolutely anything. Have you DTD recently? As that can cause a bit of bleeding from cervical irritation.

sprinkleofsunshine · 05/10/2018 12:50

Thanks everyone I have called the dr as my local hospital does not have an epau so not sure where I would need to go.

I'm first on an emergency list to call back. I thought I was being a bit over cautious but she said with one cp and another early loss they would definitely want to know about it.

I've gone since and nothing on the tissue, I just felt a bit silly as it was so minimal but still it made me worried and I just hope all is ok with the little berry.

Dimblebimble · 05/10/2018 13:59

@sprinkleofsunshine it's always better to check. If it's nothing you don't lose anything and you get to see the baby and check everything's okay. No one will judge you for checking, or feel that you are wasting their time. My notes from the midwife say to ring immediately if you experience any bleeding.

sprinkleofsunshine · 05/10/2018 14:39

That's true!

It seems to have stopped now fx but the dr didn't speak to me on the phone as they wanted me to go in so I'm just waiting at the surgery now.

sprinkleofsunshine · 05/10/2018 15:08

Dr couldn't really say much as expected, has booked me in for a scan with epau next Wednesday though when I should hopefully be 7+7.

Still appears to have stopped so hoping it was just one of those things and it stays away and I get to see a healthy little one next week on the screen and hear the heartbeat. I wasn't going to have an early scan either.

Shazafied · 05/10/2018 18:52

@sprinkleofsunshine fingers crossed everything goes well at your scan.

Jesus Christ everyone I am SHATTERED. Tbf I've been awake since 5 with DD but I did sneak a nap in today.... is anyone else going to bed at like 8pm every night?!

Dimblebimble · 05/10/2018 19:03

@Shazafied every night by 8pm I wish I was in bed but I try to hold off until half 9/10 at the earliest. I normally go to bed at 11/12 so I must be tired!

Shazafied · 05/10/2018 19:08

I've just got DD to sleep and am mustering up the energy to clear away all her toys , then it's shower and bed for me ! Perhaps archers omnibus from Sunday Grin

Amolly · 05/10/2018 20:30

@sprinkleofsunshine hope all goes well at the scan.

I'm still starving but everything is making me ill. OH keeps eating awful smelly foods to where even after I have left the room and gone to bed I can still smell them aha. I just want to stuff my face .

Finally got my first appointment booked next week. Did any of you take your partners? X

sprinkleofsunshine · 05/10/2018 20:32

Thanks all :-) @Amolly I haven't had mine yet, Dh will come to scan next week but wasn't planning for him to be at the booking in appointment x

Dimblebimble · 05/10/2018 20:49

I'm going to bring my husband because I assumed they might book the 12 week scan in then and he works random hours so there's no point me trying to book it without him there. Is that the case? Do you book the scan in the appointment?

SJR86 · 05/10/2018 20:58

Mine came to my booking appointment this week. They didn't book the 12w scan at the appointment...that comes in the post from the hospital. Needless to say I am stalking the postman!

Popsalot15 · 05/10/2018 20:59

@Dimblebimble there isn’t much for your partner to do at the first appointment. I went in and had all my bloody tests then they send you a letter by post for the scan x

fadgadget · 05/10/2018 21:03

Mine wasn’t - i got a scan appt in the post before I’d even heard from the midwife. Didn’t get any say in the date or time but it seems to suggest you can rearrange if you can’t make it. When the midwife called she apologised she had been off for a few weeks and no one covering had bothered to pick up the new patients paperwork, so she had filed for my scan once she was back and called me up to make the booking appointments a few days after. I had the first half of the booking this week at 9.5 weeks. Scan is at about 12.5 weeks.

She mentioned that hormones peak around weeks 9-10 so it’s not unusual to feel worse around that time before it starts to clear up.

Dimblebimble · 05/10/2018 21:27

Ohhh in that case I might tell him not to bother coming with me. He works with his dad (they run a business together) who doesn't know I'm pregnant and he booked it off as a 'dentists appointment'. Might be handy to save that excuse for the scan, maybe the dentists appointment can be mysteriously postponed a few weeks 😜

seeingdots · 06/10/2018 16:58

@Dimblebimble I think it depends where you are. Here they book the scan there and then at your booking appointment.

seeingdots · 06/10/2018 17:23

Why do I get so freaked out about telling people I'm pregnant? Telling very close family and my best friend, totally fine. Anyone beyond that and it makes me feel really tense. Is it just me?

Popsalot15 · 06/10/2018 17:48

@seeingdots I feel that, it’s weirdbsaying it out loud. I guess we are still coming to terms with it. I had a fitness instructor telling me off at walking out of the class early and when I said I was Ill due to morning sickness she then started saying I should have told her that too. I can barely tell my parents let alone a complete stranger! Lol x
