Think I'm 8 weeks, have irregular periods so I'm not sure! Due may 16th but will know more at my early scan next Monday :) xx

Popsalot15 · 03/10/2018 18:59

@breen86 we are due date buddies! Have you all just searched where does early scans? I’m scared I’ll go and they’ll just find a tonne load of Pringles there 😂

Breen86 · 03/10/2018 19:04

@popsalot15 oh how lovely :) mine is at the early pregnancy unit as I had a molar pregnancy in the past and miscarriages. Have one super healthy 18 month old now so fingers crossed all is good for this little one too. I know in Edinburgh there are five private clinics which offer them as reassurance scans. Should be some in your area too, they usually have reviews too xx

SurfingOwl · 03/10/2018 19:38

You'd have to eat a kilogram of milk chocolate before you reached the limit

Even I reckon I am within that limit! Grin

Patapouf · 03/10/2018 20:24

@Dimblebimble I'm with you on the attachment thing, I'm looking at apps religiously and very much agree about the prawn likeness! I think my unwillingness to get my hopes up and not too attached is actually manifesting itself in me not talking about it much with DH, and no one else knows. I think I'm trying to protect DH more than myself if it isn't plain sailing because I think he would handle it worse than me (if that's even possible)

Lillan00 · 03/10/2018 20:45

Hi!

I thought I'd join in. 7+5 today with my first so trying to figure out what on earth is going on.

I have to say, I'm definitely in the club of trying not to get my hopes up but it's hard. I also still don't feel pregnant at all, so may need to do an early scan just to check there is actually something there!

I think even harder is trying to manage DH who seems to get upset because I am a realist and trying take it very easy for the time being and almost expect the worst rather than have high so I suppose I don't seem excited enough. You can't win either way.

I know 9 months or even a year feel very short when someone else at work has been pregnant or on mat leave but right now it's feeling ridiculously long. and it's barely been 2 months!

MissSmith80 · 03/10/2018 21:11

@Lillan00
It's exactly the same for me - I covered maternity leave and her pregnancy and mat Leave flew by, every day is dragging for me though. Both OH and I are realists so we are talking about how I'm feeling (he's being lovely) but not yet talking about the pregnancy in more detail. We both need the 12 week scan to happen now - just 4 more weeks to go!

Firstbornunicorn · 03/10/2018 21:41

Agree with pps about every day dragging - sick line ends tomorrow, have spent maybe 3 hours total today awake and it feels like this crippling fatigue will never end! I'm tired of having to bum shuffle down the stairs in the morning and the floors haven't been cleaned in weeks!!
How is everyone else managing having literally no energy?

zoClueless · 03/10/2018 22:07

Days are dragging like they've never done before! So annoying.

I've been fairly lucky really on sickness. Hasn't always felt like it at the time but compared to some people on here I guess it's not been too bad. Weeks 6-9 I was feeling sick quite a lot of the time but it's significantly reduced this week and I haven't actually been sick yet. I've definitely been there on the tiredness though. Mainly been pushing myself through the working week and then majorly crash on a Saturday.

I'm 10 weeks today and was wondering whether anyone else at a similar stage is still getting the odd spell of period like cramps? I've been getting them every now and then and it always makes me so concerned! Is it just things expanding? Should it still feel like cramping rather than, I don't know, growing in some way?!

Dimblebimble · 04/10/2018 10:01

Is it bad if I eat my lunch now, at 10am? 🙈

Dimblebimble · 04/10/2018 10:06

@sprinkleofsunshine @Patapouf I'm glad it's not just me. It's hard because I don't want to be Debbie downer and take the joy out of pregnancy for both of us but I also don't want to get carried away this early on. Last night we talked a bit about the baby's gender based on the symptoms I've had so far (low morning sickness points to a boy) and it was so nice to talk about it but I also felt maybe I was jinxing it!

SassehMonsta · 04/10/2018 10:17

@Dimble - go for it. Im contemplating the same.

Time is draggggingggg

earlybirdhasanap · 04/10/2018 10:46

@Dimblebimble we've just had lunch here. It goes not hungry. Not hungry. Not hungry. RAVENOUS IF I DON'T EAT IN 30 SECONDS SOMETHING REALLY BAD WILL HAPPEN, not hungry. Not hungry. And repeat. Forever.

Dimblebimble · 04/10/2018 10:54

@earlybirdhasanap @SassehMonsta I caved and ate it at 10.30, now contemplating what to have for my second lunch 🙈 I'm ravenous today! I can't concentrate when hungry and have so much to do at work today, so just gave in.

SassehMonsta · 04/10/2018 11:00

@dimblebimble - I have had half of my soup, cold, at my desk and several plain biscuits. I just can't concentrate today.

UntilTheVeryEnd · 04/10/2018 13:00

Ladies... become a Hobbit... they have the right idea! Breakfast, second breakfast, elevenses, lunch, afternoon tea, dinner, supper Grin I’m living my life as a hobbit and I don’t care. Oh don’t forget snacks!

SurfingOwl · 04/10/2018 13:15

I’m thinking being a hedgehog might work just as well. It means I can hibernate all winter!

Pebblespony · 04/10/2018 19:42

I'm off sick again. Third time on antibiotics in the last 4 weeks. Feel pretty crappy.

Firstbornunicorn · 04/10/2018 23:02

@pebblespony I'm sorry you feel crap! :(

FWIW I still do too... Doesn't feel like it will ever pass!

Patapouf · 05/10/2018 05:52

So much for the nausea not leading to any vomiting. I projectile vomited in a very public place yesterday and did not make it to the bathroom for the first bit. Hideous Envy

rosettesforjill · 05/10/2018 06:11

Oh no @Patapouf! Sad

I'm up hideously early for a work CPD conference - hoping I can survive the hour and a half until they serve us breakfast! Really suffering the lack of caffeine this morning...

OP posts:
Patapouf · 05/10/2018 07:53

It was an airport so I can console myself with the fact that I'm unlikely to encounter any of those people ever again, even if I was caught on cctv 😱

A few weeks ago it was easier to keep the nausea at bay with constant snacking but now I feel extra queasy after I'm eating and I'm worried about a repeat performance. I am constantly ravenous though so I don't know how I'm going to reconcile those feelings!

Firstbornunicorn · 05/10/2018 08:34

@Patapouf oh no!!! If it makes you feel better, I seem to vomit exclusively in public these days. At least it pretty much guarantees you a bit of space to yourself!

I definitely thought the sickness would be gone at almost 10 weeks, but it seems like it's just gearing up!

sprinkleofsunshine · 05/10/2018 10:15

I've just gone to the toilet and wiped and had the faintest amount of blood, honestly like a dot but a few times on the tissue. What's concerning me is it was red not bright but a light sort of red orange. I'm 7+1 has anyone had this?

I'm absolutely freaking out, I've had two previous losses but very early before. I'm not having any pain, back has been aching for the last day but that's top of my bum around the coccyx area very low and it's more like it needs to click as opposed to pain iyswim. I hope it doesn't progress into anything, it's just knocked me as I've not blood this pregnancy and was hoping that was a good sign.

SassehMonsta · 05/10/2018 10:23

No panicking - a small amount of bleeding is usual. Promise! Keep an eye on it, put a thin pad in too if worried - not a problem unless bleeding through a pad within an hr or 2.
