Hope everything turns out ok @Mcdonald234

MynameisJune · 30/09/2018 18:32

@mcdonald234 hope all is well, at 6+6 it’s likely they’ll be able to see a heartbeat.

frankiefumbles · 30/09/2018 18:55

@Mcdonald234 hoping all the best for you.

I'm officially feeling "not pregnant". Really surreal. I'm sleeping better through the nights so less emotional, and whilst I'm nauseous it's almost like that's the new normal. It's doing my "diet" the world of good as I can't eat before about 4pm. I can smell the food in the oven as I type and I'm practically gagging.

Pretty stoked here though because I did a big swim today and it's the first one I've done since my BFP. I did IM Wales and got a DNF because I couldn't hack the bike part of the triathlon, and got the BFP the day after! No wonder I was feeling rubbish. So I put it down that bean is okay with swimming but not so hot on cycling! Knocked out 4km in the stunning Wimbleball Lake on Exmoor and thankfully survived! Hopefully so did bean. I really thought my body would give in (or I would puke) but somehow it all pulled itself together. Yippee! This feels like my first good day for a fortnight.

Good luck @Mcdonald234, hope all's ok xx

Mcdonald234 · 30/09/2018 19:42

Thank you so much everyone. Couldn't get the scan tonight so need to wait until tomorrow. The good things is the bleeding has pretty much stopped in the past hour and I don't have any cramps or anything. No clots either. I was examined by a doctor and she thought everything looked positive so just need to rest until tomorrow. They tested urine and still pregnant there and she checked my bloods from my booking in appointment on Thurs and everything was good in that.

frankiefumbles · 30/09/2018 20:16

@Mcdonald234 that sounds really positive and that it was a bit of random stuff coming out. In these early days in think its natural to have a bit of funny discharge and some blood do hopefully you'll get more reassurance fairly soon Smile

rose7120 · 30/09/2018 20:16

Hello, I'm new and would like to join pleaseSmile I'm 8+1 and had a scan on Friday where I saw a happy bean, still very anxious though. I was anxious in my first pregnancy throughout and don't think I believed it until he arrived! I've since had an early miscarriage. I have one lovely 16 month DS.

Look forward to getting to 'know' you all in this crazy world!

rose7120 · 30/09/2018 20:18

@Mcdonald234 good luck tomorrow. The blood tests sound positive!

MissSmith80 · 30/09/2018 20:29

@Mcdonald234 Keeping my fingers crossed for you x

I have been a runner for years and never really had a problem with injury, in the last 3 weeks I've developed a pain in my foot, a sore elbow and my back, hips and shoulders ache all of the time. I was wondering if I had a cold hanging around but now wonder if it's pregnancy related - I don't know I'll be able to handle the latter stages 😩

Pebblespony · 30/09/2018 20:38

The extra stretchiness of ligaments etc is a pain. So easy to injure yourself. My back is completely shot. If the scan on Tuesday says I'm still pregnant, I'm being referred to the physio dept. Didn't have to go till about 30 weeks last time.

Amolly · 30/09/2018 22:46

@Mcdonald234 good luck for tomorrow. Hope all goes well.
My mum had 3 periods whilst she was pregnant with me. She told me to reassure me when I was worried about spotting

UntilTheVeryEnd · 01/10/2018 07:39

welcome @Rose7120 congratulations on your wriggly little bean Smile hopefully you can relax a bit more now you have had a wee scan x

Popsalot15 · 01/10/2018 08:30

Is anyone else getting really sensitive teeth? I feel like I’ve been punched one side of my mouth and it’s uncomfortable to eat x

rose7120 · 01/10/2018 09:54

@Popsalot15 I don't have sensitive teeth, but having a nightmare trying to brush my teeth as it makes me feel sick!

@UntilTheVeryEnd thank you!

rosettesforjill · 01/10/2018 10:07

Morning all!

I think cravings are starting - since yesterday I have been desperate for a McChicken Sandwich. I haven't set foot in a McDonalds for years Confused

Think I'll make myself an approximation of one myself for dinner as I know the idea is more appealing than the reality!

OP posts:
UntilTheVeryEnd · 01/10/2018 10:19

@rosettesforjill succumb to temptation! An approximation won’t do it - have one with a milkshake 😋 ooooooh now I soooo want a MacDonald’s

rosettesforjill · 01/10/2018 10:20

The issue is- I only want it if it's really hot fresh out of the fryer. So it's a lottery whether it will actually be what I am looking for when I get it in my greasy hands Grin

Lorrie3 · 01/10/2018 10:53

@rosettesforjill I had the very same craving last Week!!!! I didnt know what was going on but.... I gave in and got one and it was epic! Hot crunchy and fresh salad. I did feel exceptional guilty for having such a crap diet tho but im juat eating what i can when i can at the minute to get food in. I'll try sort it post 12 weeks hopefully

sprinkleofsunshine · 01/10/2018 11:02

@Lorrie3 I'm working on the same basis as you just eating what I fancy when I can because otherwise I won't be getting anything. When do cravings tend to start?

I've been fancying things for over a week, pickles etc and I'm 6_+4 today, some of them have been quite random but not sure if ta just I'm fancying certain things as opposed to actual cravings! Did have a McDonald's last week and it was fantastic!

Firstbornunicorn · 01/10/2018 11:38

Weirdly, I seem to be able to eat few things without getting sick, but one of the things I can eat is pizza! I suppose that's a day's calories in one go.

I was dying for a Subway yesterday, DH got me one and I had zero regrets :)

Pebblespony · 01/10/2018 12:04

Pretty much fantasizing about pizza here.

zoClueless · 01/10/2018 12:10

I also had a McDonalds (nugget meal) for lunch one day last week. I left the office to get food and just didn't fancy anything. Once the idea for nuggets popped into my head I just couldn't get past it and just HAD to have it for lunch.
My diet is definitely variable at the moment but hopefully as others said it'll even out a bit post 12 weeks. I did make myself eat a small bowl of broccoli as a snack on Saturday because I knew I'd be eating crap for the rest of the day. Worst snack ever!

UntilTheVeryEnd · 01/10/2018 12:33

Weirdly I’ve been wanting pot noodles and chocolate milk 🤷‍♀️ Baby wants what it wants I suppose - I tend to give in if I fancy it, not much else for it at the moment x
