Big hugs sheep, sorry to hear that. Look after yourselves, both you and your partner xx

@pebblespony, I got liquid folic acid prescribed, which is 0.8mls a day - easily doable. :) all mutlivirs made me feel worse and it's the folic acid that's the important one.

Dimblebimble · 30/09/2018 10:19

Think I'm starting to feel nauseous today (6+4) but hard to tell whether it's just part of my cold. Really fancying orange tic tacs and those citrus polos they used to sell years ago 😂

inkworks273 · 30/09/2018 10:40

Well I made it on holiday. Woke up yesterday feeling sorry for myself and had a good cry. DH was so worried he said we should cancel but I managed to pull myself together.

Not sure how these two weeks are going to go as I'm feeling constantly sick and I'm worried DH is going to have to do a lot of things by himself but I'll just need to take it a day at a time.

I haven't made it out of bed yet!

Pebblespony · 30/09/2018 10:50

I woke up this morning feeling great! Then immediately worried where my morning sickness was gone.Had a cup of coffee and started to feel sick. Never been so glad to feel crappy in my life. Waiting for my scan after last week's inconclusive one has been the longest week of my life.
Inkworks I hope you get to enjoy your holiday.

sprinkleofsunshine · 30/09/2018 11:03

Hope you enjoy your holiday @inkworks273

I know the feeling of grateful to feel crappy. I panic as soon as it goes then it starts up again and I feel meh but so thankful!

inkworks273 · 30/09/2018 11:11

Thanks guys. I'm currently in bed eating dry toast and apple juice while DH is away for his fry up. Hopefully I'll perk up once I've been showered.

I'm such a wuss when it comes to feeling sick. I know I don't have it half as bad as some of you guys do.

Out of curiosity what is everyone's morning sickness like?

With mine I pretty much just feel constantly sick all day but haven't been sick yet. The only time I don't feel sick is when I'm eating but I can only face things like dry toast, hula hoops and chips with salt.

rosettesforjill · 30/09/2018 11:31

I am one of the lucky ones who isn't sick - which is slightly worrying, but it was the same when I was pregnant with DS so I'm hoping that's just how pregnancy is for me!

We had a big family celebration yesterday but I don't think anyone really noticed I wasn't drinking, although DH nearly told someone accidentally 🙄

I had a lie in until 9:30 this morning, which was totally blissful. My in laws got DS back into bed at 1am and then took him in with them at 6:30am without me even realising he had woken up - they are saints!

Oh and the midwife finally rang yesterday to tell me she was sending me my booking in appointment - I'm bloody 9+4!!! Pretty shockingly disorganised

Mine is pretty much the same as yours. I've been sick twice but just dry retching in the morning. And when I brush my teeth. Teeth are a nightmare.

Popsalot15 · 30/09/2018 11:51

@inkworks273 mine is just light headedness and similar to motion sickness. I’ve been sick twice and I hate being sick. Now I’m just eating whatever I fancy. I find if I don’t eat in the morning it flares up more. The thought of coffee also makes me heave and I am an addict.

earlybirdhasanap · 30/09/2018 11:52

Urgh mine is relentless nausea and constant vomiting. The only time I'm not feeling awful is when I'm sleeping. I'm trying not to let it get me down but I'm feeling so fed up by it all.

sprinkleofsunshine · 30/09/2018 11:55

Mine is just generally feeling sick/ off food, hungry but not fancying anything. Most mornings I run to the toilet and dry retch but am not sick. I'm 6+3 now, it started at exactly 5 weeks and I would say atleast half of those days if not more I have actually been sick but like once or twice.

Is anyone really achy? I don't mean like aching back or cramping but actual like they need to have their back cracked or something, feels way to early for anything to do with the pregnancy but I feel like an old woman!

UntilTheVeryEnd · 30/09/2018 12:05

Morning sickness is just an absolute killer - I’ve had pretty much constant nausea, only helped by eating. I’m also sick roughly 2-3 times a day which varies from acidic bile to full on torrential vomit!
The most embarrassing thing for me is my poor pelvic floor - I pee myself whenever I retch. So it’s big pads for me!
@sprinkleofsunshine I’ve been feeling achy as well - like my legs and arms are just heavy. Thought it was maybe the start of a cold or something?
Happy Sunday everyone! X

fadgadget · 30/09/2018 12:36

I feel sick every morning to varying degrees of severity. I eat a small bowl of cereal almost every day around 5:30am and head back to bed for an hour or two. Usually when I wake up again it’s better than it was. It started at week 6 for me and I’m now week 9. Some days I feel sick on and off all day which is really miserable, I wretch a bit but I haven’t thrown up. I’m a bit of a sicky person anyway and would say I throw up more than the average, but I’m not sure if my sickness is just milder than others or I’m quite used to having to deal with nausea. It’s certainly a really debilitating kind of sickness and I really feel for everyone suffering ☹️

One of the worst bits for me is the tiredness, most days I have to have a lie down, but then I think I sleep even worse, bit of a vicious circle but I can’t make it to bed time otherwise.

I have the first half of my booking appt this week (they split it in two since it’s so long and information overload which I think is nice), and then scan in late October when I’ll be about 12.5 weeks. Although I had an early scan at

MynameisJune · 30/09/2018 13:38

My nausea started at 6 weeks as it did with DD. It’s just a general sense of feeling sick, food aversions etc. Last time eating helped but it doesn’t seem to make much difference this time.

First vomit was this morning, my actual sickness is usually just random. Like this morning, wasn’t feeling too bad so had breakfast and then promptly emptied my stomach. Haven’t eaten anything since, the thought makes me feel ill. Definitely different to my pregnancy with DD, I ate my way through the first trimester that time.

Mcdonald234 · 30/09/2018 15:24

I've just had a nap and got up to go to the toilet and it felt as though I'd wet myself. It was like pale pink watery blood so not looking good. Have to wear a pad for a few hours then go to EPU if I'm still bleeding.

So worried.

MimiSunshine · 30/09/2018 16:02

10wks today (well hopefully all being well 🤞🏼).
I’ve just had an on off queasy feeling for a few weeks, I was sick once when attempting to empty the kitchen bin, the smell was horrible and I lost my lunch into the sink (even thinking of it makes me feel ill).

In my first pregnancy I had a constant nausea for about two weeks (8-10) then it just cleared up and I felt fine. It’s weird how you miss it when it’s gone.

This time I’ve been taking the Boots version of pregnacare vits which have ginger in, I think that’s supposed to help with nausea.

I’m just really tired a lot, I HATE sleeping in the day but I’ve had so many naps recently.
Really hoping that we get our scan appointment through by the end of next week so I can book time off work in plenty of time.

Amolly · 30/09/2018 16:36

Hi all. Not posted in a week or so. Currently 6+6 and joining the nausea club. Been feeling sick for about a week now. Started when I looked at some chocolate cornetos and immediately wanted to be sick (Not thrown up yet but they put me very close) now every time I go to the fridge freezer I know there in there and it makes me feel sick. Gone off chocolate which I'm very sad about. Can only manage a half a cup of coffee now and crisp butties are a life saver. Everything I look at just makes me feel ill.

How long did it take for you first appointment to come through ? Called over a week ago now

Pebblespony · 30/09/2018 16:43

McDonald fingers crossed for you.

MynameisJune · 30/09/2018 17:03

Mcdonald234 how many weeks are you? Hope the bleeding has stopped.

UntilTheVeryEnd · 30/09/2018 17:03

@macdonald234 I’m sure all will be ok! Take it easy x

Mcdonald234 · 30/09/2018 17:15

Thank you guys. I'm 6+6, still bleeding but haven't filled a pad. Heading for an internal scan.

fadgadget · 30/09/2018 17:24

Good luck @macdonald234, hopefully everything is just fine xx

sprinkleofsunshine · 30/09/2018 17:39

Good luck @Mcdonald234 hope all is ok xx

dreaminofholidays · 30/09/2018 18:13

@macdonald234 hope the scan goes well and the bleeding has stopped xxx
