@inkworks273 oh I see! Greek yoghurts have been great for me, also dates.

sprinkleofsunshine · 28/09/2018 11:12

I feel hungry but every time I think of something to eat I don't want it. I could fancy something one hour and it makes me feel sick the next. On that basis I've just been eating what I fancy, not particularly healthy- had a McDonald's for tea last night but thinking that's better than eating nothing.

Plain Pringles sounds like a great shout. Will try that.

earlybirdhasanap · 28/09/2018 11:24

Prawn cocktail crisps and hula hoops making up 90% of my diet. I think it's ok for now and they'll be time to eat healthy when you're feeling better.
I had a little cry to my doctor about it this week and she said not to worry. Try to keep your multivitamin down and do what you can to get through these weeks.
Fruit is too acidic.

earlybirdhasanap · 28/09/2018 11:25

I realise what I typed then doesn't even form proper sentences or make much sense Blush. Hope it makes sense.

Lorrie3 · 28/09/2018 11:30

So glad to hear im not the only one living off plain Pringles! Plain Pringles toast and salted crackers have been my friend the last few weeks its all I want! I feel super guilty because I feel I should be eating more healthy... I usually have a pretty clean and balanced diet. I'm guessing there will be time for that once this first trimester passes?

inkworks273 · 28/09/2018 11:42

Thanks for the suggestions everyone.

I have a 5 hour flight tomorrow so I will stock up on hula hoops and ginger biscuits.

I can honestly see this holiday far enough. I feel so bad as DH is so looking forward to it (it's actually our honeymoon) and I just don't think I'm going to be very good company!

sprinkleofsunshine · 28/09/2018 12:04

I second ginger biscuits they have worked for me to help with the nausea.
I'm also eating Tesco individual packs of mini breadsticks, just plain but good for something to snack on if you can't stomach much flavour x

rosettesforjill · 28/09/2018 12:05

@inkworks273 I'm sure you will be able to enjoy it! You can lie on a sun bed and nap and not feel under pressure to do anything at all Smile

inkworks273 · 28/09/2018 13:44

@rosettesforjill I hope so. At least I don't have to go to work for two weeks 🙈

I'm mostly just dreading the flight!

frankiefumbles · 28/09/2018 14:06

@Beckyv88 can I just say I've got a perfectly ripe avocado in the fridge which is taunting me with its ripeness but I know it would be horrendous if I ate it. I can't bring myself to have that in my mouth right now. I hope that I will get over myself before it rots!

Firstbornunicorn · 28/09/2018 14:15

@frankiefumbles it will probably rot just to spite you!

Beckyv88 · 28/09/2018 14:15

@frankiefumbles ahh I do that even when I’m not feeling nauseous. Always forget about them.

Ps does anyone know anything about University College Hospital in Euston? It’s where I’ve been referred but never been.

MysteriousSheep · 28/09/2018 14:18

I’m finding fizzy water and toast dipped in oil and vinegar the easiest things to keep down.
I’ve got another scan tomorrow, been totally unable to relax since the bleeding and cramping at work at the start of the week. Still spotting (old blood) and sooo anxious! So the lovely early pregnancy unit have said they will see me again. Fingers crossed everything is okay

Pebblespony · 28/09/2018 14:21

Hope it all goes well MysteriousSheep.

frankiefumbles · 28/09/2018 14:25

I have to admit the nausea isn't bad the last two days. l bought a semi prepped roast for the weekend for us to share but temptation has overcome me and I'm just putting it in the oven. I'm secretly hoping I can eat it all before DH comes home. He didn't know Id bought it...

frankiefumbles · 28/09/2018 14:26

@MysteriousSheep brown blood sounds positive but I'm sure you'll be glad when it stops

Firstbornunicorn · 28/09/2018 15:15

@MysteriousSheep hopefully all is ok! Keep up updated

MimiSunshine · 28/09/2018 15:19

@inkworks273 plain cashew nuts for me. Not Unhealthy and not too flavoured but has some taste.

If I wake up really early I get hungry straight away so I keep some in my bedside drawer, they don’t make a mess

EspressoPatronum · 28/09/2018 18:28

inkworks I'm currently having dark chocolate rice cakes, apples and love heart sweets! Can't face much else...

Russell19 · 28/09/2018 18:31

@inkworks273 rice cakes have worked wonders for me. Mine are from Aldi. You know the ones I mean? Xx

SurfingOwl · 28/09/2018 21:26

Will be thinking of you tomorrow @MysteriousSheep

I hope everyone else is doing ok.

Firstbornunicorn · 29/09/2018 02:17

Gaaaah! Wide awake yet again! Husband is snoring, cat keeps jumping on the bed, feeling nauseous and tired but wired. What is it about this time of night? 😂

FeelingBlessed77 · 29/09/2018 07:18

Morning all. I'm new here. 8+5 today.

Kezzasmeds · 29/09/2018 07:54

Morning. My first ever post. I’m 40 and 8 wks pregnant. Nervous about doing it all again as I have a 21yr old 18 yr old and 14yr old twins. But hey ho life happens got divorced 7 yrs ago and been with new partner for 5 yrs. he doesn’t have kids and decided it was now or never! Any other ‘geriatric’ mums on here? Love that phrase 😂 I’m more worried this time than I ever was before!

Shazafied · 29/09/2018 07:56

I was up from 3-5 @Firstbornunicorn , then my baby woke at 0530. I am seriously fed up if it and hope it goes after the first trimester when hormones settle down. Can't remember how long it lasted with DD....

Early scan for me today at 8+5 , at baby bond. I was terribly ill with a vomiting bug earlier in the week and got v dehydrated so just want to check on bean. X
