@sprinkleofsunshine apparently they're running behind here and it could be more than 14 weeks until I get my booking in appointment... Since they book the scan at the booking in appointment, it doesn't look like I'll get a scan anywhere near 12 weeks.

MynameisJune · 27/09/2018 17:58

@firstbornunicorn are they going to offer you an alternative to the NT testing then? This has to be done before 13+6 if I remember correctly.

MynameisJune · 27/09/2018 17:59

@rossettesforjill I’m 34 in a week. You’re classed as a geriatric mother if you’re over 35!

L0kiWh0 · 27/09/2018 18:00

^ this. I was slightly offended as I was 36 but still think I’m 21

Firstbornunicorn · 27/09/2018 18:09

@MynameisJune I'm pretty sure we don't get it in NI anyway. I'm pretty clueless - is it only for Down's Syndrome testing? If so, I told my GP at my initial appointment that I didn't want testing for Down's Syndrome anyway, so maybe that's why it hasn't come up as an issue.

Mcdonald234 · 27/09/2018 21:04

@firstbornunicorn that doesn't sound good, I hope you hear soon!

I had my booking in appointment today and midwife was lovely so that was nice.

I had been using the app what to expect and my friend recommended pregnancy +. It is fab. Anyone using it?

Firstbornunicorn · 28/09/2018 03:01

I'm not the only one who wakes at 3am every morning, am I? I'm not taking it as a good sign of baby's sleeping habits!

Popsalot15 · 28/09/2018 03:31

@Firstbornunicorn I am up 👋 I’ve been up since 12 vomming. Don’t know if this morning sickness or food poisoning but either way it hasn’t stopped!

Firstbornunicorn · 28/09/2018 03:37

Oh no @Popsalot15. I wish I could advise you but I haven't found anything that helps (except mountain dew lol). Please don't be a hero though, I'd 100% have woken my DH so he could hold my hair back!

Shazafied · 28/09/2018 04:07

3am waker over here too ! Every night. And I can't even blame dd who is sound asleep. So frustrating !

SassehMonsta · 28/09/2018 04:52

I was woken at 2.15 when dh came to bed -tool 45 mins to resettle myself. Then 4.
30 when the dog wanted to go out for a wee. Every other night dor.the last week I have been awake around an hr around 3am. I remember the first few.months being tiring, maybe this was why?!

goldopals · 28/09/2018 06:21

I'm waking at 3am every single morning as well. Sometimes I can get back to sleep after, but the damn dog wakes up with the sun so often I'm only just asleep when she goes off

sprinkleofsunshine · 28/09/2018 06:33

Yep I absolutely love my sleep but either keep waking up through the night and taking ages to get back to sleep or waking up early. Usually I struggle with my 6am alarm now I'm in bed waiting for it! Hmm

rosettesforjill · 28/09/2018 08:16

Not 3am but I've been sleeping really badly - waking up several times in the night either thirsty or desperate for a wee! Then DS tends to wake up about 6 so that's always fun...

inkworks273 · 28/09/2018 08:19

I usually fall asleep about 9pm and then wake up about 3 or 4. DH has slept on the couch the last few nights so his snoring doesn't disturb me so I can't even blame that.

earlybirdhasanap · 28/09/2018 08:42

Yep pregnancy insomnia is a thing. Although I've just changed my meds for HG and they knock me out so the last two nights I've slept really well. Maybe the only benefit of having HG.
Before the medication though I was awake 1-5 every morning. Horrible. My sympathies to you all awake in the night.

Pebblespony · 28/09/2018 09:08

Being awake feeling sick, watching the clock get closer to the time you have to go to work is awful!

dreaminofholidays · 28/09/2018 09:32

been struggling with sleep as well here. Just shattered but always awake for a while between 2-5am.

While I wouldn't wish it on anyone it is good to know we're not alone in this.

Does it go away when you get further along? xxx

SassehMonsta · 28/09/2018 09:58

I seem to remember it gets better. Not sure it properly goes but I do remember sleeping well at some point!

inkworks273 · 28/09/2018 10:12

Can anyone suggest any snacks for when you just need something in your stomach? Crackers just aren't doing it for me.

Beckyv88 · 28/09/2018 10:18

@inkworks273 have you tried plainish things like rice, polenta, coconut, avocado?

inkworks273 · 28/09/2018 10:22

@Beckyv88 All I've been eating is toast, chips, mashed potatoes and chicken. Rice would be good too but I was more thinking things I could have on hand that don't need to be cooked/prepared.

It's honestly horrible feeling like you don't want to eat but knowing you have to to stop the nausea getting worse.

rosettesforjill · 28/09/2018 10:35

@inkworks273 Hula Hoops are my go to for hangovers so might work?

I had an obsession with rice pudding last pregnancy but it may not be what you want if you're feeling queasy

Popsalot15 · 28/09/2018 10:42

@inkworks273 ginger biscuits, plain Pringles and toast
